We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to our hotel in Adelaide we had been upgraded to a suite for our honeymoon. The stay made it most enjoyable while we were in Adelaide for the 4 nights. Would highly recommend this hotel

Great location, decor could do with a bit of an upgrade. Would be good if the Ibis section could have a hotel exit/entrance at that end of the property instead of walking all the way through the Mecure section

Upgraded room was lovely with all amenities and so forth in good condition. Room serviced well. Had drinks at the bar and staff seemed very friendly. Dinner with my friend was lovely and the young woman who served us was happy and so well organised. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is very well ocated for transport and shopping and lots of other attractions. Would definitely stay again!

Bathroom was terribly small. Staff didn't tell me about where breakfast was which I booked in advance. Room could have been smaller and bathroom larger. More like an Ibis Budget Hotel this one but cost over $200 per night so clearly expected more from this hotel.

The hotel was in a great location, close to the CBD and Adelaide Oval. The hotel is split into two sections the Mercure and the Ibis Styles, I stayed in a Styles room which appeared to be down the rear end of the property. The room itself was a reasonable size, although I had booked a queen bed room for 3 nights but received a twin. The bathroom was tiny and the noise from the goods lift woke me early every morning and continued during the morning while I was in my room. There was not enough of a barrier to block out the outside noise as well.

When booking this hotel we were not aware the Ibis was the budget part of the hotel. When checking in we were given our room number and after walking up & down corridors came to 2 sets of stairs indicating our room was on the other side of the stairs! Two ladies both aged over 70 were expected to drag suitcases up & down stairs to reach their room. We ended up paying extra to get a room n the main part of the hotel. Will never book this hotel again.

this was probably the worst Ibis I've ever stayed in... the room was the smallest room I've ever stayed in anywhere.. the Queen bed was pushed hard up against one wall. The "table" next to one side of the bed (remember that the other side had none as it was up against the wall) was between the bed and the wall/door to the bathroom. It was so cramped that I had to open the sliding door to allow my elbows some room whilst I used by laptop which only just fitted on the table. When sitting on the toilet your feet ended up in the shower....in fact it was possible to use the shower toilet and basin all at the same time! On the plus side the room and linen were clean, but the room needed a coat of paint and some TLC. Breakfast was overpriced at $27, and was average except for the powered scrambled eggs which were ordinary (to be kind) Staff were great and friendly and looked after us.. I'll not be back.

Stayed for one night first weekend of May 2017 as a solo traveller at leisure. The hotel has the same reception as Mercure. Check in staff was friendly but slightly aloof. I was allocated a room on the 4th floor which was at the back of the Mercure rooms. Happy I did not have a heavy luggage as you need to use stairs from the Mercure rooms to the Ibis rooms. My room was tiny with a double bed, tiny bathroom & toilet. Bed linen was nice & clean but carpet needs replacement as it is soiled and pockmarked. Checkout was okay & was able to leave my luggage in the morning and picked up late afternoon. Compared to other Ibis hotels in Australia and Singapore I have stayed in, the Ibis Styles in Adelaide is below standard.

Not happy was expensive, and small, frosted bathroom door was not good, no privacy for son and mum sharing the room. Very long walk to get to that room, like a rabbit warren , thin walls as you could hear people in the next room

Very helpful staff in assisting my wife who had suffered a knee injury before arriving. Went the extra mile to provide a wheelchair to her. The queen bed was up against the corner of the room which made it difficult during the night to climb in or out of the bed. Fine if you want to climb over your partner at all hours of the night. Breakfast was good. Location is good but the room lets down on your experience

This was a very comfortable hotel and the food was excellent , however the WiFi did not work in the Ibis room. I could only access WiFi in the foyer which was not really convenient when it was supposed to be available in the room.

Loation is good. But Ibis part is in the back street facing area and next to the building construction,so in the midnight very noisy by drunk people on the street, at 06:30am construction starts....wifi is very weak and slowin this hotel(but my friend told me this is same as other big cities in Australia) Bar&restaurant service staff did not take my order and I have to go to the counter for it. wash vase is too small and you can not wash your face properly.

Positives - Good location (central), cheap, mostly clean(bed, floor, bathroom), comfortable beds, Friendly staff Negatives - bathroom window wasn't able to be shut so noisy, walls were dirty, paint flaking off in the shower - bathroom was small, but i expected that With a decent clean and a bit of a revamp could be better

Location is terrific - close to the mall and parks, and public transport on the doorstep. But - no ramps or lifts at the entrance, so heavy suitcases need to be carried up steep steps. The Ibis is at the back of the Mercure, so no views, and again, steps to different levels since the lifts don't go to this part of the building. The rooms are tiny and very basic, what you'd expect from this price range. The bathroom is so tiny the bath mat didn't even fit on the floor, however it does at least have some bench space. Basic everything in the room, but don't stay for more than a night if you plan on spending any time in the room apart from sleeping.

Hotel in easy walking distance to many things ie Zoo/Panda's, Botanic Gardens, Adelaide Oval, Railway Station, Casino. etc The free public transport for seniors ( central area's Adelaide including airport) made a car unnecessary over our 5 night stay. As Accor members Adelaide was our first stay at Ibis grade hotel. The room we were given was not good enough and with a return to front desk where Hassan was most helpful showed us another room which was very satisfactory for the cost of staying at Ibis and we would stay again.

Started off with a room so small bed had to be pushed against wall. Just not suitable for the elderly. Had been booked for 9 months and must have been smallest and worst room in hotel., and so far from lifts, so far to walk with a stick. Given a better room after complaining bitterly to the reception. Was very disappointed, but they made it good in the end.

Hi, after recently experiencing the Ibis Styles in Osaka and Kyoto Japan, I had no hesitation in booking an Ibis Styles property in Adelaide. Unfortunately it was no match for either of the previous properties. The room was a reworked older property, which is fine, however it lacked the finish. The bathroom door was coming off it's slide, which was poorly installed. Paint work was poor in parts of the room. The worst thing was the TV remote switched "on" the TV, be wouldn't select anything past the opening screen. I found aged leaking batteries in the remote. I called reception, they kindly offered to send somebody, however they never arrived. I couldn't turn the TV off or unplug the wall mounted unit. It was too late to call again, so I slept to the glow of the TV all night. I must say, it was a wonderful bed and I slept very well. It was late when I called reception that night, I think they were under staffed to send somebody, not sure. I did report the faults on check out, hopefully the next person has a nice room.

The cleaner and staff at the lobby are all friendly. Even if there was a blackout incidents and everything was kinda in a mess, they stay calm and help all the customers by leading us on the way by stairs. The only thing is the gym is so small... and sauna seems not usable. We went in to have a look and our "gym mood" was off immediately. Might be good if the gym facilities can be improved slightly. Another thing is the sound prove system is not very good where there was a night with very loud stepping/jumping sound from upstairs and another night of loud chatting from somewhere near (probably corridor or neighbor).

It's an ok Hotel, staff are friendly and polite. It is confusing that there are two different hotels on the same building. Ibis Styles rooms are miles away of the lifts though, and if yu are carrying big luggage, remember you have also to sort some flights of stairs at the very end of the corridors. It is clean, but the building itself is not very welcoming. It looks more like an expensive hostel, or a students accomodation building. Location is excellent, for business, going out or shopping. Right in front of a train station and a Tram stop. Room space is the worst, very tiny, not much desk surface for working if you need, and forget about a window with a view. Anyway, good for short stays, try to book in the Mercure if you're staying more tan two nights.
