Was really nice to stay in such a newly decorated hotel. Warm welcome from the young lady on reception. St Germain is v scenic but at night it is hard to find a restaurant as they seem to be spread out amongst all the streets of closed shops. Glad we reserved the hotel parking in advance as parking is very tricky in the town centre. It cost 9 euros 50, I think, for a night and was well worth it as the carpark is secure and has direct access by lift to all the floors in the hotel. We found a nice cafe/bar down the alley by the hotel and a really nice creperie Le Phare Saint Louis, 5 minutes walk away, in 10 Rue André Bonnenfant. V comfy beds and good big TV.Our room looked across to a wonderful old stone wall, which was beautifully lit at night. Surprisingly we were only given one bath towel each but when we asked for a second towel we were given one with no fuss. The room temp, that was good when up and about, wasn't programmed to reduce in the night, and, as we had very cosy duvets on our beds, this meant that we woke up hot in the middle of the night and had to manually lower the temp on the air con control.
