I don’t understand the negative reviews on TA. The hotel was fine for us: we had a family room with a double bed and two singles. It was not a big room but what do you expect with four sleeping places in it? We didn’t need air conditioning. The double-glazing was very efficient and we heard no sound from outside even though we were on the front. Breakfast was fine. Friendly people, would stay here again!

This hotel, is in a very good location, close to the historic center of Rouen. Around 15 minutes walk from the train station. Very convenient location. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Rouen.

Singing in the cathedral was wonderful, the art gallery is one of the best and the church where Joan of Ark was burnt at the stake interesting. The Joan of Ark history perspective is memorable. A beautiful city.

Our room was very comfortable with enough space for two people for 8 nights. We had a double bed with a sofa that could have converted to a bed. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. We reported a light not working in the morning, when we got back in the evening it had been fixed so they are efficient and listen to their customers. Breakfast had lots of options and is self service. As it's a continental hotel you don't have drawers in the room but there's enough shelf space to compensate. Also there's no kettle in your room but there's one as you come in through the main door near reception. A very good place to while away a holiday in Rouen.

The location near the cathedral is excellent for exploring Rouen, but the only available car park is the cathedral car park and, if you're staying (as we were) for more than one night, it is expensive - 30 euros/pounds. There should be some discount arrangement between the hotel and the car park. The major issue was that the room had no air conditioningand as it was warm, we had to have the windows open which allowed a lot of street noise to disturb us. Another issue which IBIS must surely be aware of was the very small size of th shower cubicl Breakfasts were entirely self-service but were satisfactory. The fresh orange juice machine was a 'bonus' which we didn't expect. IBIS should really compare their room/shower room sizes with Premier Inn in the UK

The hotel is in severe need up updating. Rooms are tired, no air con and consequently very hot. I'd not book again, I'm sure there are more modern hotels in the area for a similar price. Good location though and the staff were nice.

Very good hotel easy walking distance to the old city.Warm welcome easy check in and out.Breakfast good with nice fresh orange juice, cereal and cold meats and cheese. Also plenty of bread.Staff were very busy trying to things topped up as lots of people for breakfast.Downside would be water to taps the hot tap was nearly always cool although at same time shower was hot.Hotel looks onto River Seine

Stayed four nights at the beginning of April. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and it is in a great location for walking through the lovely, quirky streets. Bed was comfy but there is no aircon and it did get very hot in the room at night. Overall a good budget choice but I'd recommend going in winter when it's cooler.

Hotel ideal for visit to Christmas Market, situated near centre of town, missed being able to park car near hotel. Hotel generally clean, disappointed to find that although the hotel had been updated several items need attending i.e. bathroom door would not close, Hot! water only warm, bathroom basin had no plug and outlet was blocked ( so perhaps you could say didn't need a plug) freed after letting water slowly flow through for sometime.

Very well located walking distance from city center main places; making this hotel convenient both for Business and leisure trip. A large public parking next door. Quite rooms. Standard IBIS style services otherwise.

Excellent position but externally and internally very poor, not up to usual IBIS Styles standards by a distance. Room basic (and strange decoration) but beds very comfortable. Breakfast good. Specifically asked if there was "Secure Parking" was told "Yes" but none at all, jut open public car park. VERY poor advice. Would not stay here again.

Worst hotel I've stay in no air con had to try to sleep with the window open very noise boy racer wheel spinning around and just noise traffic through out the night. Car park is the open public space at rear of hotel not a place I wanted to leave my car over night with all our holiday stuff in it

Situated in the heart of Rouen, only a very short walk from the Cathedrals and ancient buildings of central Rouen, this hotel is ideally situated for a city visit. It provides comfortable and well equipped rooms. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

This hotel was good value with spacious room and lots of new fittings. Although next to a main road with the windows shut it was surprisingly quiet. Location was great for central Rouen with lots to see and a great range of shops, bars and tourist sights. The car park behind the hotel was very convenient but does incur a cost of 15 euros per 24 hrs. The building is not new and has been converted, so not purpose built. Some of the fabric of the old building is still evident although has been painted. Cramped lift with heavy doors and some old fittings still evident. The area outside is rather off putting as it's run down. The reception and breakfast area is cheap and cheerful but it was all clean and good value for money.

Welcome was pleasant enough and i had a sense of value for money for my stay - i saw reviews that were negative but apart from lack of air con and instability of the wi-fi service, and compact aspects of the hotel being more Budget Ibis than Ibis Styles in my experience as a regular Accor member/guest, i felt it was a nice, quiet and functional stay in a great location with great views of the river Seine in my 15m2 (i quote, 'at least') bedroom suite.

This was advertised as a New Hotel In fact and old building, badly refurbed No Parking on site No Aircon in rooms, room so hot On major road junction with traffic lights & subways Constant traffic noise, car horns & tyre squealing etc Room had double glazing, but could still hear all the noise, This hotel is about 20 yards away from a very loud and noisy pub which had a live rock band playing I had booked for August, have made complaint to Ibis and cancelled

we booked this little gem for our trip home whilst staying in france we found it to have plenty of car parking all around it, the reception staff where very good and the decor was funky too just keep up the good work

Overall satisfactory but a very small and slow lift and no hotel car parking available. The hotel location is good and the breakfast area and food quality was of a good standard. The staff were courteous and helpful.

I normally stay at Ibis Champ de Mars or Rive Droite but both were full. This is an Ibis Styles hotel so not quite the same quality. Having said that the room was clean, if a little small and the finish not what I have been used to, especially as this is a relatively new hotel. Comfortable beds. The staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful. There is no parking at the hotel but a public car park is close by. Make sure you get the right one. I didn't and it was a 15 minute walk. The hotel was, I thought, a little expensive compared to the two hotels I have mentioned, probably because it was a midweek say rather than a weekend.

We were looking forward to a stay in the newly opening Ibis Styles in Rouen, the refurbishment was not finished, the shower in room 22 was so small that you could barely shower, the room smelt of paint, really not what we had expected. Though not the hotel's fault the noise in the area at night was terrible and the cleanliness around the hotel was very bad

Hotel design

At the entrance, geometry and colour are front and centre. The theme is clear. Ottomans, light fixtures...the furniture itself seems to be folded, sculpted! You settle in and get to work...a crane here, a star there. Is there talent at your fingertips? Perhaps yes, perhaps no...In any case, you give it a try, you aren't going to fold up shop just yet! All that creativity whets your appetite and you head to the breakfast room. Here, origami animals watch over your meal. As for the rooms? Just follow the signs. A fortune teller on the headboard, splashes of bright colour on the wall...after an active day, you fall asleep quickly and deeply. Tucked into your comforter, it's a wrap!

Origami, or when a little bit of nothing turns into something beautiful. A simple piece of paper gives birth to a bird, a boat, a butterfly...pure poetry! This Japanese art form invades the décor. A modern take on an ancient art. Next to these bold lines, your trip takes shape!

More than a hotel, a surprise. In this unique setting, a flat surface and a piece of paper suffice for a bit of fun. It's magical...a direct connection with your inner child. Here's a getaway that looks great on paper!
