My experience at Trier Ibis hotel has been a pleasant one. It is situated inside the former postal building, which makes all better in terms of delighting the eye with outstanding sights right out of the room´s window. Its location enables one to get lost in the city without having to walk too much; at the exit of the complex one could find amusements right away. Great access to Treier Dom and Liebenfrauenkirche as well. These two are top highlights in my opinion. I´ve been charged with strange concept though. At the time of checking out, I was informed by one of the desk clerks that I had to pay a certain sum of money for a concept I´ve not been specifically explained about. Asking for information didn´t make things better.

This is a new hotel with large rooms, fun decor and free buffet breakfast, which is becoming more rare in Germany. Clean and comfortable rooms, great wifi, and nice staff. It is located right in the center of the city. Parking is a bit expensive, but the free breakfast makes up for it. I thought it was a very nice place for the price, especially with the discount from joining the ibis hotel club.

We stayed here over the weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and the rooms are spacious. This hotel exceeded our expectations. We had to park across the road in the Galleria multi-story carpark but this worked out to be the same cost and easier. Directly opposite the courtyard is probably the best pizzeria in town.

Lovely place with beautiful, comfortable, high-ceilinged, quiet rooms and windows that can be opened. Cozy reception area with free coffee and tea throughout the day. Easy parking for € 16 per night. We would definitely stay here again when back in Trier.

It was our second stay in this hotel. We love this place. All places in the city are in walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. We will probably come back when we stay in Trier another time.

The room was on the top floor of that part of the hotel, just below the roof so space was limited, however, by using drop-down tables and eliminating the closet in favor of short hangar it was more than large enough. The bathroom, in fact, was quite large and very well appointed.

Great place to stay in the beautiful ancient Trier! Newly renovated, good designed hotel in the very centre of Trier. Good italian restoran in the courtyard of the hotel. Direct exit to the shoping area of Trier, very short walk to the central market square. Good value for the money.

The hotel was rather hard to find as the entrance is from a courtyard rather than from the street. It is convenient for the centre of Trier so an ideal base for exploring it. Though there is no restaurant in the hotel, coffee is available in the reception area. The self-service breakfast in the modern-styled dining room (complete with artificial moth orchids hanging from the ceiling) was very good and our room was a reasonably large. Car parks in Trier, including the hotel car park if you can get a place, are expensive. The public car park we were directed to is just a short walk away from the hotel.

Great rooms, loved the free coffee and tea in reception, good breakfast and good location plus easy access parking. Stayed in a Mercure on another night, this Ibis Styles in Trier was MUCH better and also better value for money

We stayed just one night in Trier but because of the location of the Ibis Hotel, we were able to see all the sights and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is stuated in within the Old Post Office building with a very popular Osteria in the courtyard outside. It is so conveniently situated within the city that we could follow a tourist map and see the majority of the main attractions. The hotel itself is well planned and provides comfortable accommodation at reasonable prices. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was good and parking is available in their private car park at a small additional cost. We had a great stay and can thoroughly recommend this hotel. One tip: it is worth becoming a member of the Accor Club.

On arriving to the car park our first impression was it was very old. Once inside at the reception every thing changed. Friendly staff to greet you, reception and foyer had seating areas, drinks, tea and coffee, apples for your comfort. Our room was excellent, spacious, clean, every thing for a good nights sleep. From the front entrance within seconds you were in the square where there is an abundance of shops, restaurants or just strolling to the many attractions. A very good hotel, excellent value for money, plenty to do and see nearby. Well worth a visit. In the morning an excellent breakfast to start the new day.

We stayed in Trier for one night with two children, 15 and 6 years old. The hotel is right in the historic city centre, not far from the train station. Modern, well equipped rooms, wi-fi, free drinks in the reception area, rich breakfast for every taste. Polite staff, luggage storage room. The little extras everywhere, like mulled wine and punch for children made us feel welcome. The price was better than in other comparable hotels for our party of four. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Hotel Ibis Trier: Good and friendly Staf, Verry Good Service. Location is perfect to visit Trier! Parking (pay) at the hotel Ibis is no problem. Stayed there in april and december 2016, and we will stay there again in 2017!

Reviewed in TripAdvisor. Great location if you are into shopping. Lots of eatery too. Don't expect too much service level especially from the reception. Almost all my encounters with the reception were answered in a crude, expressionless manner.

A concept very different from traditional Ibis. Individually designed spacious rooms built in a historic building with a touch of historic decoration! Separate toilet as part of bathroom. The furniture in the rooms need some rethinking. There is only one chair and for example no table! Restaurant in the hotel is only for breakfast, but first outside restaurant already in the courtyard and plenty of those in the city center. The closed parking place is small, so late arrivals find themselves in public City Parking 200 meters avay. Early arrivals have a lot to see in the center nearby. We recommend and will visit again!

Stayed in July. Nice bright decor, loved the Roman theme. Room clean and comfortable. Very central - right in the old town. Very good buffet breakfast with hot and cold selections and plenty of choice.

We really enjoyed staying here. Highly recommended to all types of travellers. Friendly staff, clean, huge family room with high ceilings, great breakfast included (!), excellent location to visit Trier, free coffee, tea and apples in the lobby. The only negative points: parking as unavailable when we arrived, but we could leave the car in a nearbycar park (which was fine). There is a large (and very good) pizzeria under the hotel and in the courtyard. It was therefore very noisy there in the evening and until late at night. Closing the windows helped, but in smmer one would prefer to leave the windows open. But still, all in all, highly recommended and good value for money.

Nice hotel with the right price for your stay. Quite rooms with no noise. Only the parking for cars is quite small. It was fully booked when we arrived late in the night. THey mentioned you must book it before arrival but there is no remark on the website in that sense. Fortunately there is a public parking just close to the hotel.

We were very satisfied about the location, the room, the cleanliness and the friendly personnel. The breakfast was very good. We would have liked a second chair in the room. I got a backache from sitting on the bed. One time the cleaningperson left some toiletpaper on the sink! With this exception, good going!

This hotel is really designed with the Roman history of the city in mind. Everything will remind you of the Romans, building beautiful constructions in Trier. Even in the bathroom there is a little statue of a Roman guy. The walls, the floors everything is linked to this theme. That makes it playful. It is a typical Ibis Styles in that way that the service is limited, but the price on the other hand is very good as well. A perfect price/quality!
