I chose this hotel primarily for its location. Wanted to be by the beach, which was approx 10 minutes away. In terms of the metro, it was approx 3 minutes away from Bogatell station. All in all, not a bad location.
The room itself was of good quality, everything worked well and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful and worked great. The only thing missing, was the room did not have a safe, and I didn't feel comfortable leaving valuables in the room. I ended up carrying them with me around on the trip, which ideally I did not want to do either! In addition the room didn't have a hotel directory, I always find this useful knowing what the hotel has to offer.
The continental breakfast was good quality and quickly topped up by the staff, who were a lot more friendlier than the reception staff. We went down 9:30am each morning and always found lots to choose from and places to sit.
The main reason why I gave this hotel an average rating was due to the poor service by the reception staff. When we arrived we didn't even get a 'hola/hello', just 'I only need your passports!' The check-in took ages and I had to write down my home address, which I didn't understand why when I'm a member of the Le Club Accor member and all my details should already be on the system? In addition I was provided with ONE welcome drink voucher, when there were two people in the room? When I enquired I was told it was for 'one person only!' In many other Accor hotels, we are always provided with welcome drink vouchers reflecting the number of people in the room. The poor customer service continued throughout the stay. When we entered/left the hotel, the staff didn't even look up and just talked among themselves. A 'Good Morning/ Good Evening' goes a long way in customer service!
Overall I would probably stay here again, only due to the location, breakfast, and room; but would urge management to improve their customer service at reception.
