Room is great. Big for a Japan hotel. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. All amenities were replenished the next day. Great job to the house keeping staff. Breakfast was moderate with a mix of Japanese style and Western breakfast. But it was good enough for Ibis standard. Location was great. It is located right opposite of Kyoto train station. You can get almost everything here: convenience store, a lot of restaurants, shopping, souvenirs.

The rooms are so small with no view of the outside. You see a large tank from the window. The location is excellent. The breakfast spread is decent but monotonous. The space for breakfast is too small and cramped up as the hotel is invariably packed to capacity

The hotel staff is highly professional, helpful and extremely kind. The room is clean, and quiet. Breakfast is very good. The hotel is located two minutes away from Kyoto central train and bus station. We highly recommend to stay in IBIS Kyoto.

Great location---so handy to Kyoto Station buses, subways and trains for sightseeing. Also just block from KIX bus limo stop. Single economy size room is fine for a solo traveller but a double room is worth the price for more space if it's needed.

The Ibis Styles Hotel is right next to the main railway station, (and bus station) which is so convenient. You can drop off your luggage and get sightseeing straight away. A lot of the great sights are a train or bus ride away. Room was quiet, and clean. Staff were friendly and polite, which is the norm in Japan. The only downside was that breakfast was served in a small room.

Excellent location which just opposite the Kyoto Station! Just few minutes walks to the station, easy access to public transport. Very convenient can easily find shops and restaurants around. Hotel room is clean and room not big but just nice. Recommended!

This hotel is 50 metres from a huge ultra modern station complex.... dozens of excellent restaurants in an underground heated complex below the other end of the station concourse ... "The Cube" multistory shopping complex ..... and access throughout the city via the underground rail network.

The hotel is located right across the street from Kyoto Station and has easy access to popular tourist attractions. The rooms were small but but clean. Breakfast was simple but good enough for me. Was very satisfied with my stay for two nights and would definitely stay there again if I get to visit Kyoto again.

A few steps from Kyoto Station, all the staff was polite above all the lady, I do not remember her name, who welcomed us while doing check-in. The room small but comfy, the bathroom really small and the breakfast included but too asian, I would suggest to take into account that even western people come to visit Japan!

Extremely strategic location, in front of Kyoto Station, close to restaurants, japanese convenience stores and shopping malls. Our stay was enjoyable. Reasonably sized room for Japanese standards. Wifi had no problems during use. Breakfast very good.

Located just in front of West gate of KYOTO train station @ 1 minute walk across, IBIS KYOTO stay is ideal for visit to the West like KANAZAWA (to experience snow in recent winter) or to South like Kobe( to taste Kobe beef in its homeland) all within convenient commute by train. The hotel is extremely quiet even near train station. Buffer breakfast is excellent with variety to suit everyone's taste. This should be every traveller's choice whether for one day or for extended stay!

This was the worst hotel during my 2-week stay in Japan. The location was excellent, but everything else was lacking. I stayed 3 nights and could only eat breakfast on one morning. On the first morning, there was a line an hour long (no exaggeration). On the second morning, I opted for the breakfast box, which was a hotdog and danish!?!? The third morning, I went down at 9:30 am after the rush and was able to eat the breakfast. In the morning, it was impossible to get on the elevator to go to breakfast or the lobby. I was on the 5th floor and the elevator would not stop when it was at capacity. I inquired with the staff about taking the stairs and was told the stairs were only for emergency purposes. All in all, on the first morning around 8:00 am, it took about 30 minutes to get on the elevator to go to breakfast, and then I had to turn around because breakfast had an hour wait. Not impressed :(

Nice hotel with a good breakfast and very helpful staff. Central location , beside train station., lots of restaurants to choose from in this area..The room was clean and well maintained we stayed for 2 nights and free drinks during our stay..

I strongly recommend this hotel to any Kyoto visitors. Not only is the hotel within the main Kyoto transportation hub, it is also an easy place to find food. On top of that, I like the friendly and humble staffs in this hotel, and its decent and comfortable rooms. They are willing to assist and help in directions. Nice smoking area where you can enjoy a cup of (free if you are Accor member) coffee at the 1st floor and enjoy the main street view. I like Kyoto and hope to visit it again sometime later. This time, I will bring a group.

It was so conveniently located opposite Kyoto Station, where there are tons of shops and eateries. The rooms were clean and modern and the surrounding area was quiet and nice, very different from our stay at Ibis Styles Osaka. Breakfast was sufficient if you don't usually eat much breakfast. However, the cafe was small and perhaps sit about 50 people. Thankfully, there wasn't a crowd or a queue. If you are looking for more varieties at breakfast and expect a spread, then you would be disappointed. In any case, there are many eateries in the area and there was good fast-food noodle chain just a few steps away from the hotel, on the ground floor. We really enjoyed out stay in Ibis Styles Kyoto! Thank you very much!

Stayed here for 2 nights. Smooth check in, fantastic location across the road from Kyoto station. Clean rooms despite being next to a busy station the rooms were soundproof so you could hear no noise.

Very happy with accommodation rooms were very small however it was very clean and directly opposite Kyoto Train Station. Rather expensive for what you get. Ammenities were very handy as we were able to use the laundry service. The bed was comfortable as most other hotels have extremely hard beds and sleep was affected as a result. The rooms were quite small however most other hotels are the same. Would stay again purely for the convenience of the location.

We stayed here for 5 nights, our room was an excellent size, well appointed, bed very comfortable, bathroom great size and newly renovated, our room overlooked Kyoto Station which was really nice as we could see the mountains. We used the station every day so the ease if access to the station and especially the Shinkansen platforms was a real bonus, we could be out of our room and on the platform in a very easy 10 minutes, fantastic restaurants, cafes, eateries in the station complex catering to every budget and the food is good, really good. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel, enjoy Kyoto

the hotel location is great. close to Kyoto station and plenty of places to eat. while behind it, is a quiet neighborhood. i like the fact that i can open up the window to let in some fresh air. some hotels don't let you do that, so the room is gets stuffy. especially during the winter and the heater is on. i like that they're environmentally friendly. my only issue was that the vent fan in the bathroom never turned off. maybe if they set it so that when the light turns on, the fan will turn on. and when the lights are turned off, the fan turns off. luckily, we were exhausted every day and slept soundly. but if you're a light sleeper, you can hear the fan.

Great hotel, brilliant service, always willing to help. Small rooms (but this was expected). Great breakfast selection including lots of Japanese food as well as continental selections. Occasionally difficult to get breakfast due to number of people queuing (on my final day I went at 7:30am instead of 6:30am as I normally do and I was unable to eat due to the queue and my outbound travel.) Otherwise, a great hotel and would certainly stay again if I am in Kyoto again soon.
