We checked in on 4h May around 10:30 AM, well ahead of the 12 noon check-in time. The reception people were very courteous and smiling. The room was being readied, so they offered to keep the luggage in the locker room. There was no charge for this facility, which is a nice touch.
Ms. Sophie at the reception was extremely helpful. A third-floor room was quickly arranged, and we were asked to help ourselves to the beverages and croissants till that happened. No charge again. Very sweet of them.
The room - for 3 people, was a very spacious one with excellent beds, large windows that faced the street, a microwave, a mini fridge and lots of electrical charging points. A nice flat screen tv, good storage cabinet, and a decent sized bath-toilet completed the amenities. In spite of facing the road, the good-quality windows did not let the street noise come in. Very nice room.
The hotel is located right in front of the tram stops for 92 and 97. It takes barely 7-8 minutes and two stops for the trams to reach Louisa metro station. There is a Carrefour diagonally opposite the hotel. A walk down the street shows that all standard needs of a typical traveler are available - from a Laundromat to a pizza takeaway to a sandwich shop. At the end of the lane, where it connects to the main road, there are chocolate shops as well as ATMs for withdrawing money. The Gare du Midi station is barely 2 km away, from where you can take a train to any part of Belgium and out, without needing to go to Brussels Centraal. A very comfortable location!
