The Hotel is not close to the Airport as implied by the name Ibis Airport Hotel. There was no shuttle bus as advertised, only one bus from the hotel to the airport at 06.45. I booked breakfast and the site implied I had paid for it. In fact, as I later discovered the money for the breakfast had not been taken from my credit card, but the manager was unable to verify this. We did not take breakfast believing that we might have to pay twice for it. The manager Mr Prinz was very helpful but the system let him down. I would not have selected this hotel had I known that it was 12 k from the airport and that I would have to pay 30 Euros for a taxi.
Any hotel that calls itself an AIRPORT hotel should #1 be close to the airport, #2 have a shuttle service. This hotel plays games with its customers.....It has AIRPORT in its name, but it is 13 KM away. ( 30 Euro taxi ride in the evening!!!!). And while it advertises it has a suttle, they forgot to tell you that its only ONCE a day at 6:45 AM and only on weekdays.....If what you re looking for is an AIRPORT hotel, look elsewhere!!!! And to the IBIS hotel management--remove the AIRPORT from the hotel name!
This is called IBIS Vienna Airport but it's located in a Highway service station with no possible access by public transport. In the hotel website the information provided is that there is a free shuttle.. When I checked-in I was informed the shuttle only worked Tuesday to Friday and once per day at 06.45 AM!!! Useless and had to pay 16€ more for the Taxi to the Airport
Chose this hotel for two reasons: I am an Accor member and the website said that there was an airport shuttle. So disappointed and angry to find that there was only one shuttle at 6.45 am and if you wanted to go to the airport at any other time, or coming back from the airport, you had to take a taxi! I could have chosen a better hotel at the airport itself had I known!
Always nice to stay, I love the market principale for dinner or breakfast. Taxi is arranged via de reception and they are very helpfull. Its very close to the airport so ideal for business trips. Well done !
Very well placed and you have everything you need at hand. Very good reception easy pay and you get the invoice on the spot. The acces is easy from the highway. Very recommended for those who are passing through.
The hotel itself is fine, rooms quite up-to-date, pleasant staff, good facilities, considering it's in a motorway service area. But the taxi to and from the airport cost a total of 50 euros, almost as much as the room itself, so overall it's quite bad value, given it's advertised as being an airport hotel.
Very nice hotel, nice staff, good rooms, good parking, good breakfast... WiFi good in room, but near reception bad connection.Hotel is good and I recommend it to everybody no meter what is the reasons of traveling.
I was happy that the reception still at the desk when I arrived at 23:30. I would say "rarety" in this part of the world. She also helped me to book taxi for the early morning flight. I just stayed in the hotel as I have "overlay" of 9 hours in Vienna. A much better place than airport, of course 😊 However, it would be better if the property provides hot water maker in the room or reception. At 23:30 the resto at the hotel has closed and no where to find hot water for drinking ( I am not used taking tab )
Clean room without personality!! Minimal toiletry (or none). The room looks like a university dorm, very cheap furniture! The best part of the hotel is to have Marché as part of the facilities, quality food for a very affordable price.
Clean and welcoming, and perfectly positioned, as you should expect for a good transit hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms relatively small, but great for a quick night sleep if you are on the run.
it is really nice place to stay near the Wien airport and good to have the breakfast with reasonable prices. normally i am on a business trip every month to abroad, but i think that this is the one of the best hotel, particularly among the Ibis hotels.
The Ibis VIE is very nice - clean, adequate room. Shower has door (unusual in Europe). Excellent buffet. It has no shuttle to VIE, thus requiring a taxi to get there (about 16 euros). Staff was very friendly and helpful.
In spite that I ordered a room with extra bed for my daughter, explicitly written in the reservation "An extra bed is available for supplement", I got not extra bed, and they told me that there where never such arrangement. Very disappointing and frustrating from such a chain. after writing a letter (asking for clarifications since I had other 2 hotels in this chain reserved for this trip) I got a respond "we are checking" after 5 days!!!!!
Very comfortable, spacious, quiet, spotless clean room and area. About 15 minutes from Schwechat Airport. Highly recommend to book for breakfast also because the Marché Restaurant has a wide range of foods. Large, free parking in front of the hotel.
Spent 2 nights in this hotel and I have to say the bed and the bedding was the nest I have ever experienced. I find it a bit pricy for what it was, but I would still recommend it to anybody who is looking for an airport hotel in Vienna.
The IBIS Airport is a fairly good hotel in the vicinity of Vienna airport. Not easy to be reached if not by taxi (no shuttle available), but anyway convenient to the airport, Rooms are comfortable, the breakfast area should be optimised
I am a regular Business Traveller staying in this Hotel. Love the Location, the rooms are really nice, the beds are fabulous, the staff is helpful and friendly. The only thing I'd like to mention is that the bathroom could be cleaner :-( Mold on the rubber seals/ Corners and shower head needs descaling. Still one of the best Hotels around Vienna.
- Very practical, confortable hotel for 1-2 days in a long journey - You can check in and out very quickly, - the hotel is not complicate, you can find easy the reception, your room, or the restaurant - There is a big range of the different dishes in the restaurant, - The hotel is close to high-way but your room can be very silent
I don't really get it why on earth someone would pay the obscene extortion rates charged by five star hotels for lousy services and facilities you will never use when you could get a good night sleep in a hotel like this one, ibis Vienna Airport, at a fraction of the price. Did you know about 15 minutes guarantee? Let me tell you, if anything goes wrong that's the time they've got to fix it or your stay is free. Now that's a standard which all hotels around the world should aim for. Would I reco it to my friends and family? Absolutely YES.
