loved it rabbits running around everywhere and Kangaroos kids loved it nice playground by the pool. TV in parents room as well as the kids room which was a big plus for us. kitchen was nice size not to big or to small. Plenty of room for for your baggage as well. all in all thumbs up.
Each Tim i stay at Eaglehawk it is very apparent that the focus is on school groups, which is impacting on the quality of the establishment. Getting very tied and needs some real injection into maintenance Door dont seal, facilities have a lot of scuffs and damage from abuse, paths breaking up, pot holes in access roads are just getting bigger and have had no maintenance in 2 years
I've stayed at this hotel several times now and every time, when I go to have breakfast, they say it's not included. Even when I've payed for it separately or it's been part of a package. However, this time is the first time when I have actually been CHARGED EXTRA for a breakfast which I had already payed for! I had two rooms booked, one Winter Escape Package (continental breakfast included) and one standard (payed for full cooked breakfast). They tried to charge me for breakfast on both rooms again. I noticed it on one room, but not the other, so I'm now $36 out of pocket. I like this hotel, it's quiet, clean and in a convenient location for me, but this is beyond a joke. I don't think I'll be going back again. Long story short if you stay hear, make sure you print your booking confirmation.
Quiet, comfortable, a couple of very minor room problems but I can, and will, recommend Ibis Styles Canberra Eaglehawk to any traveller who wants a well-appointed, out-of-the-rat race, rural-setting, peaceful accommodation. Will definitely be staying there again.
Well located ,quiet hotel not far from the centre of Canberra. Our room was spacious and comfortable and warm.Food was family ,fair price and tasty.Parking was well organised and private. It is off the highway so quiet.Staff were efficient and friendly.Complex was spread out with native bush separating separate buildings.
Perfect. Plenty of parking, lovely room, clean, comfortable, well appointed and WARM - it was cold outside when we were there. Easy drive to Canberra city. Lovely grounds to walk in and observe the local wildlife - rabbits, kangaroos, birds and even play a game of outdoor chess with the large chess set provided.Great breakfast and dinner and the staff were great. We will return.
It's a nice getaway from the city. However the hotel room and facility should do with more improvement. More brighter room and better in room facility. Location is a bit away from the city, but price is great. Thanks.
We asked to moved into another room due to a rough patch job in the ceiling Broken tiles in the shower Mould all throughout the shower Taps shaking when turned on We purchased the breakfast and waited until the food came out from the kitchen to get our meals all the food was cold the staff were unable to cope with amount of visitors tables were cleared without being wipe down scramble egg was on the carpet.
What a great place to stay for sightseeing Canberra. Easy access into Canberra, 10 minutes by car. Accommodation in apartments stepped up and away from main reception, each with their own piece of seclusion - no lifts or high rise to negotiate. Quiet, lovely bush setting with kangaroos and rabbits, currawongs and wrens about. We had a family room that had a queen bed TV and bathroom in the main room with the interconnecting room having 4 single beds and a kitchenette. As we had a guest, from UK, with us the room set up did not entirely suit. as you can imagine anyone from the second room having to use the bathroom through the night would have to possibly disturb those in the main room.We were all good friends so this did not present a problem. A minor dispute over whether breakfast was included was easily settled at reception. Checkin was early and swift and the café food was well received and reasonable. On top, as well, terrific good sized swimming pool. I've already, and would not hesitate to recommend this Ibis Styles as a great place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay as we have in the past but felt the place was getting a bit run down and could use a facelift. The Eaglehawk is very handy to everything especially the National Folk Festival where we spent most of our time. Free Wi-Fi was good and the restaurant met expectations.
hotel was in an ideal location to attend festival, room was very spacious, breakfast very good ,room clean but bathroom shower recess was dirty as it badly needs regrouting, very comfortable bed, excellent hotel for families and groups.
We had to move rooms after we noticed the toilet bowl was leaking. We couldn't get the TV working, breakfast was undersupplied and had to ask a number of times for items to be replaced. Not the nicest room I expect from Ibis or Accor. It was also far from the City Centre and listed as Canberra even though it was past the NSW border.
The food and prices are very good - we particularly enjoy the buffet breakfast which includes everything you could want. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They truly make you feel very welcome. The facilities are varied and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
I have stayed at the Ibis Styles Canberra Eaglehawk many times. But in this occasion it was one of my worst experience with the hotel. First, the accommodation was overpriced, well above their competitors (who unfortunately did not have rooms available in other hotels due to late booking). Secondly, although the room was deemed to be "non-smoking", I had through the night people smoking in the outside their rooms, with cigarette smoke coming into my room until late. The chicken schnitzel I had for dinner was the worst ever I had. It was chewy, not properly cooked and the accompanying chips and salad were not good at all. Finally the overall room cleanness and bathroom facilities were well below expectation. The hotel needs to improve its facility management, to ensure a consistent client experience.
friendly welcome at reception , cot made up for bubs :), great variety and value breakfast. Clean room. Loved the to have the vehicle parked close to the front door so easy to transport all bubs things
It was Great value, 3 adults 2 kids, 3 comp drinks, breakfast included, unlimited movies, nice little pool, close to the city, and very friendly staff, comfortable room $147 the only problem was we went to the kingston foreshore for a pretty average overpriced meal, should have staye at the motel
Good and clean room. The AC was working well and the surroundings were quiet pleasant. Close to Canberra a real bonus. The breakfast for the price was good and had what you needed. Servicedesk was prompt.
So much to see, we only had two full days could have stayed five day , Ibis Eaglehawk a great holiday spot , Families would love it, lots to keep Kids entertained. Buffet Breakfast was very good ,great range of foods . We had Dinner in the Restaurant 3 nights, generous servings very good food and the cost was reasonable
This is more than just a hotel, it feels like a resort with individual blocks of rooms, covered pathways, central pool and picnic area. The facility is well kept and the staff is very helpful, with a great breakfast to start the day
On my recent trip to eastern Victoria I decided to stop halfway to break the trip up. The Ibis Styles Canberra Eaglehawk was well placed for an early start the next day and very comfortable for a good nights rest.
