Perfect for an overnight stop en route for Italy. Rooms are not large but clean, soundproofed, air conditioned and with extremely comfortable beds (would recommend a twin room) Very close to the motorway but never heard a thing overnight! Breakfast is standard DIY buffet and evening meal on our outward journey was very good and excellent value - fish soup , steak and chips and a pichet of the local wine. Disappointed on the way back that fish soup was not available (why? Its on the printed menu and its not just being whipped up by a chef in the kitchen to order!) Hors d'oeuvres buffet which my husband had instead was very uninspiring, steaks were good though. Only real complaint was that on our outward journey my husband tried to pay the bill by UK debit card and it was knocked back. We paid with our French card. On the way back I tried to pay with my UK credit card and the same thing happened. (Bank had been notified of our journey so knew there was no problem there) Spoke to my bank today and they tell me that the transaction was notified as not having a secure cryptogram and therefore they are obliged to reject the payment. I don't really understand what this means and it was the first time the chap at the bank had seen this message, but I can only imagine the problems and frayed tempers that this will cause with foreign tourists who can't settle their bills. Not everyone has another card! Ibis, you'll have to sort this!
