Great location for the Birmingham Areana and the Bull Ring. Safe secure parking. Friendly helpful staff. Includes buffet breakfast for which there was plenty of choice Complimentary coffe tea in the foyer . Comfy bed.

This hotel was ideally placed for us as we were attending a show at the arena. Rooms were well sized and very clean. Staff were all excellent and the breakfast was satisfactory for a continental. Would definitely use this hotel again

Adequate accommodation and breakfast. Wasn’t expecting much more than basic and that’s what we got. Bed was quite comfortable. Well impressed with the bathroom door that doubles up as the toilet door too. British joinery at its innovative best.

We visited the NEC for the Caravan and Motorhome exhibition and decided to stay in the centre of Birmingham rather than on the NEC site. The hotel was superbly situated between New Street station for easy access to the NEC and Brindley Place for food. The room had everything we needed in it and the staff were very helpful.

Staff and room very good. Breakfast was not good at all. Very old fashioned, all packaged, with not much choice. Coffee and juice bad tasting, and there was NO BUTTER! I stayed recently at Ibis styles in Manchester and breakfast was excellent.

A little disappointed. Check in was slow. We had 3 rooms. one room was not even cleaned when we walked in. Towels used Anson the floor . Bed used. Had to wait for another room. No free drink. 25th wedding Anniversary

Hotel is in a great position close to the city centre & the Mailbox & Brindley Place. Nice clean rooms, nice reception area and excellent secure underground parking. This is a very good no frills hotel.

10 min from new street train station, close to ICC, very clean, polite staff. Should have a better breakfast. Value for money. Very good wifi. Free coffee or hot chocolate. Nice and comfortable beds, plus quiet rooms.

Very good locatIon. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was poor, no nice coffee or bread. Fruit was from a can. No alternative milk. Basic stay and under budget, damp smell. Needs a better clean up.

A very comfortable, friendly , clean hotel at a great price. Although not included in the price there is a car park situated directly underneath the hotel which is very convenient if you do not know the area with all the road works at the moment.

I stayed one night with my guide dog, this hotel had everything, brilliantt staff, from the receptionist who showed me around my room, the very helpful lady serving on the bar, and not least the lady who served my continental breakfast, they were all superb. My room had plenty of space as did the bathroom. Although the breakfast was only continental it was tasty, sufficient and plenty of choice. there was a nice bar area with comfortable seating and the lager was spot on. this hotel was definitely value for money and I would not hesitate in staying here again.

Decided to stay here as I was on a training course here the next day. Room was boiling hot (endured it as long as we could but told no fans available!) and no wifi unless we wanted to sit in reception!

Stayed for 1 night - attending a wedding at The Electric Cinema. Ideally sitated for city centre with excellent choice of restaurants and transport links. Ample continental breakfast available until 11.00a.m. on Sunday - perfect after a late Saturday night.

Very Friendly hotel in a great location and easy walking distance to Barclarcard arena, shops, pubs and restaurants. Secure parking under the hotel - could do with some better directions on website or signage. Only let down by limited continental breakfast and no gluten free bread.

I stay here quite regularly after a concert. Very well located. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is included but only a continental. However, it's excellent. 7

It's a basic Hotel but it's clean and functions as it should. Stayed there a few times so it's ok. Things that were odd: 1. Queue by the lift at breakfast so took the stairs. When you have gone downstairs to the ground floor there is a phone where you have to call the reception so they can come and let you out! I'm not sure once you are in the stair well you can actuallty get out again without calling reception? Apparently it is a jointly owned stairwell so has to be locked. It seems you have to ask to use the stairs! 2. Asked for half a draft lager in the evening only to be told that they only serve pints! Very odd. I had a bottle of lager instead and it was poured into a half pint glass!!! Other than those little things it's ok.

The hotel is in a reasonably central location with good underground parking (£13 for 24 hours). Friendly helpful staff on reception. Comfortable bed, room was clean and well maintained with good soundproofing. Wifi was rubbish, kept cutting out. Luckily 4G reception good.

It would be so nice to have some cooked eggs.. and toast for breakfast..instead of just cold food .. That would actually make the stay perfect..the location is great.. can walk from new street station..

Arriving at the ibis we were greeted by a quite rude lady who was clearly hating her job and having a bad day. She was very abrupt and when I tried to explain that we had booked family rooms she demanded to see proof. Of course I couldn't open my emails because of a problem with the wifi in the hotel. The room was basic and the beds were hard. Pillows were like rocks, but clean. Breakfast was very poor. Very basic stuff. Frozen bread for toasting. Which took forever. I don't normally leave reviews and wouldn't have been too bothered about the rubbish breakfast, but the way we were greeted on arrival was terrible. No customer service skills at all.

Really nice, clean and comfortable accommodation. Staff helpful and friendly. The only downside was the computer had not been updated by house keeping and so on arrival at 4pm the guy on reception didn't know if there was a room available for us. He had to go running around the hotel to find the house keeper to ask!

Hotel design

It's Birmingham's grandest sites that form the centre of the ibis Styles Birmingham Centre. Upon arrival, prepare to be greeted by world-class contemporary design as a mural of the Bullring shopping centre's award-winning architecture adorns the front desk. This very much sets the tone for your stay. Vibrant hues of greens and yellows make up the lounge's leather seating, while local children's artwork reassures that there's plenty more to come from the next generation. Upstairs each of the four floors has been assigned a bespoke theme in testament to Brummy industry, design and innovation.

It wasn't until the dawn of the Industrial Revolution that Birmingham really found its voice. Operating as a small market town beforehand, the revolution saw the city blossom and become a stronghold for the textile industry. The city's relative youth has proved hugely beneficial, where a freethinking spirit has seen it yield everything from the steam engine to Black Sabbath. It's this willingness to experiment that our designer has embraced for ibis Styles Birmingham Centre. Whether it's daring murals of its most beloved buildings or vast arrays of textile spools, Birmingham's culture literally lines the walls.

There's an endless amount to do and see in Birmingham, but we've somehow managed to distil it all inside the four walls of our ibis Styles Birmingham Centre. Let the hotel be your tour guide as you experience features inspired by everything from the Bullring bull to the spectacular New Library. Here the hallways are the streets. And, if the buzz of the city becomes too much, there's always solace to be found in our serene lounge area. Birmingham is a city that's one of a kind, so your stay should be too.
