The hotel location is perfect for wandering around Poitiers from the main square to the little back streets. The staff are very warm. friendly and welcoming and nothing is to much trouble for them. The hotel itself is immaculate and spotlessly clean. We stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the atrium which is so quiet despite the fact it is at the front of the hotel which is onto a very busy pedestrian walkway and a road but as traffic is limited to residents/ buses and emergency vehicles there is little traffic and because of the atrium there is absolutely no noise from any of this!! The room is a decent size and again spotlessly clean. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room- which is standard for many hotels, but it takes 30 seconds to get from the room to the reception area where there is a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee so there is no hardship. The one drawback is the actual car park for the hotel; whilst it is secure and only accessible via a pin code, the drive down to the bays is along a VERY tight and narrow ramp, if you have an SUV or large car you can get down there but it is really helpful to have someone guide you down, saying that if you let the car park put you off booking you are missing out on a fantastic hotel; this was our 3rd stay and we are already looking at dates to return. It is a shame we can only score a maximum of 5 stars as this is well worth 10+.
Ibis Styles Poitiers Centre is the most stylish of all the 'Styles' brand that I've stayed in. The location is excellent, the rooms and facilities are well above average for the price range and that central staircase is a thing of wonder! This is my fourth visit and I'll be back for certain next time I'm in Poitiers.
The hotel is paticularly easy to find and is ideally located just off the main square. The open and airy reception is welcoming and the staff very helpful and efficient. The decor and style were very appealing with a cool modern interpretation of 70's style, but with good quality materials. The room was quiet and comfortable and the bathroom clean and bright. Breakfast was buffet style, plentiful and served in the stylish cafeteria area, and there was complimentary tea and coffee in the reception area at all times. An all-round excellent experience!
This hotel is under transformation from a logis d France to ibis styles and work was still in progress when we visited so unable to give a complete review it looked as if it will be great when finished Bedroom was good but the smell of fresh paint was everywhere the restaurant as ok but breakfast well some one had the idea to put the toaster under the fire detector made for great excitement when my wife made toast (and it was not burnt )
We stayed for two nights in a very comfortable and airy room. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with good advice when asked. I must thank , in particular, the member of reception, Jeremy, who was extremely helpful on several occasions, a credit to your company. The breakfasts were very adequate with a good choice of continental alternatives. One word of caution, though, beware of entering the hotel car park. The entrance is very narrow and the narrow ramp and very tight access should not be attempted if your car is much larger than a mini! I speak from experience as I scratched my wheel hub and mirror, and was not the only guest to damage my car on that day. I suggest you use the car park Hotel de Ville which is very close to the hotel and is easy to access and leave - a cautionary tale!
Well situated near to old town centre. Parking in underground car park (pay), no on street parking nearby and only pay parking local. NIce clean hotel, very friendly, helpful staff. No restaurant or bar just a breakfast area. Good breakfast, typical Ibis. Bed was very comfortable, the room clean and the shower room excellent . Would stay again if in the area.
This Ibis 'Styles' achieves what it sets out to do and it does it in... style. It all starts with a warm and efficient welcome at the desk. The room (we always have one looking on to the interior 'terrace') is of a good size, with an excellent bed and a well-equipped bathroom, where the shower is better than many hotel showers. Breakfast - served in a lower ground floor area - is consistently good and good value, too. The bean-to-cup coffee maker and the orange juice machine, which uses fresh oranges, are excellent. There are always cheeses, a choice of breads, fresh fruit, croissants and pastries. We use the parking at nearby 'Hotel de Ville' - cheap and reliable, although rather busy at times.
I love this hotel, big and airy, large rooms and a staff who are absolutely superb .The breakfast was more than adequate. Only issue was the lighting in the bathroom was a trifle dark. Too dark I was informed for one's make up. Nothing beats the location.
The Ibis Styles in Poitiers is well-located, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious (for an Ibis) and comfortable, the wi-fi works and the breakfast is good - including 'bean to cup' coffee and an orange juice machine that provides juice from freshly-squeezed oranges. All this comes at a reasonable price.
The hotel was fine. The room was huge and comfortable. Not the most modern or nicest room ever, but ok for one night. Breakfast was ok, with fresh orange juice! But no eggs. Staff was very polite and helpfull.
Loved this hotel with triple height foyer and great modern wooden staircase! Our room was large, with a balcony. The only downside is the one-way traffic system and new pedestrian area which my sat nav didn't know about. Apparently Google copes well with the directions. It's well worth the effort to find it though. There is a secure underground car park (small charge) The access is a little tight but our car is longer than most (C5 estate) and I managed it ok. Would definitely stay here again.
A lovely hotel with an enormous room for 4! Probably could have put another 4 people in with us! Receptionist was very helpful, as were staff who served breakfast - providing us with as many croissants as the children requested! Finding the hotel was the main problem we faced as there were 3 Ibis hotel in Poitiers and we kept being directed to different ones - it was the 3rd hotel before we realised we were in the right place! Right in the centre near the main square though and great restaurants locally.
Of all the Ibis Styles we have stayed in, this one stands out because of the wonderful design of both the room we used and the common parts. The service was excellent. It is great to be in the city centre.
A nice hotel in the new Ibis Styles collection, recently built and not in fact quite finished.Comfortable room, simple breakfast and close to resaturants, sights and shops of city centre. However, the city has been largely pedestrianised and it is essential to follow the hotel's directions exactly.I relied on sat nav and needed to go through the barriers of the pedestrianised area. This involved telephoning the hotel and keying a code into a terminal in the street.Better to go by train and taxi!
Hotel was good, clean and offers great value for money. Important to note there is no hotel parking but a car park for the hotels very close by. Poitiers is pedestrian only and therefore can make it difficult to find the hotel by car if using a sat nav!
Immaculate hotel; very modern design and theme but not unattractive. The shower and bathroom felt as though we were the first users! Excellently located and staff were very helpful. Good value breakfast.
The hotel had only been open for two weeks and was immaculate. The service we received could not be faulted. There was no facility for an evening meal at the hotel but it was only a short walk to the town centre and there there were plenty of restaurants. Highly recommended.
