The hotel is fuss free. Check in and out was quick. Water, tea and coffee in lobby. Rooms are clean and bath tub of Fiber glass. Discount provided for dining at neighbouring establishments and car parking free of charge till next day 9am.
Room clean and spacious. Evening staff (Natashata) was extremely efficient and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was good and we loved the fresh orange juice machine. Locatin next to train station. Parking underground and several cafes very close. Loved our stay here would stay again.
the location is excellent...across the street from the train station with lots of dining choices in the immediate area. the rooms were very BIG compared to other brands we experienced. the beds are perfectly soft and firm. the property is modern and bright. we slept with no noise from the train station or other guests.
The only negative to an excellent stay was the lack of Tea making facilities in the rooms, the staff were excellent, and the view from my room was great. the Hotel was nicely positioned for normal guests, however being an amputee I found it hard to get around and sightsee.
A pleasant stopover after arriving on a late ferry in Caen. Modern, bright and clean room and bathroom whilst being as basic as expected. One night is fine, breakfast and parking were good. Not central but for our needs it was good.
Highly recommend this Ibis Styles hotel. Easy to find from the nearest motorway/ Toll Road. Near to the train station. Suprisingly, you cannot hear any outside noise. The location is a bonus as you are conviently situated a 5 to 10 minute walk from the main bars, restaurant area. Service efficient , friendly and welcoming. Value for money excellent: free wifi, Breakfast included in the cost. Children eat free. The Beds are divine... best hotel bed I have ever slept in! I have stayed in 3 various Ibis styles Hotels in different locations in France as one night stopovers and have never felt disappointed. It has always been an absolute pleasure to stay in Ibis's hotels.
My brother, nephew, and I spent 6 nights in Normandy and used this hotel (and Caen) as a "home base". The whole trip worked out very well. We booked two twin rooms. Both were spotlessly clean and simply furnished. The decor is a bit spartan, actually, but we had all we needed: Beds were comfortable, air conditioning was a huge plus, rooms were quiet, and the breakfast was great (although a bit monotonous after 6 nights). The location is the hotel's greatest asset -- easy walk to the railway and tram stations and adjacent to a shopping mall with good restaurants. We'll definitely stay here again!
Clean hotel with professional staff. Nice breakfast to start your day. Close to restaurants and shopping. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner as toiletries are very limited. Great value, comfortable and to the point kind of hotel.
We chose this hotel for train access. Located near the train station - take the underground exit to "Rives de l'Orne". Mod room décor, unfortunately no in-room safe which we like to have. Good included continental breakfast. Computer in the lobby.
No issues with room. Very clean and new. Parking was Ok but not 100% practical, but at least there was some. Parking was large and access to the hotel was tricky. Good restaurants nearby both chain and independent.
We arrived at this hotel before the checkin time. Our luggage was stored for us while we explored the city. We had told her the type of room we preferred, and the room we were assigned was perfect. The breakfast at this hotel was exceptional. We especially enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice. The location of this hotel was perfect for visiting the Caen Memorial and D-Day sites.
A wonderful room with a great view of the river. A nice sized room and very clean. I need a comfortable bed and a quiet room to sleep and this was outstanding for both. Parking was also easy underground and cheap.
Overall the stay was okay. Unfortunately on check out the staff member could not figure out what the balance of the bill was. Thankfully another individual was available to rectify. Rooms are adequate but some staff need to some customer service training.
This hotel is a real gem, close to shops, resteraunts and the station. The rooms were clean & quiet with the bonus of having widows that could be opened. The breakfast was excellent and available for a sensible time.
Every auzpect of this hotel is 5 stars, location, rooms, staff, breakfast. Tip there is free parking outsixe the hotel 7pm till 9-30am monday through saterday then free 7pn Saterday till 9-30 on Monday. Alzo its €2 for 2.5 hrs. This is cheaper than the underground carpark.
My wife and I with two friends stayed at Ibis Caen for just one night but would have been glad to stop for a lot longer. We were greeted by an incredibly helpful receptionist whose English was better than ours. The rooms were spotless and well above average for this class of hotel. Subsidised parking under the hotel completed the package. Overall, a great deal.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable. A proper view of the river available from some rooms. Breakfast more than enough to keep you going - a good start to the day! Good position re the rest of the town and very near the rail station with plenty of restaurants to choose from around the corner.
First rate apart from a rather gaudy breakfast room, but compensated for by a spiffing breakfast! Bravo to one and all.I strongly recommend this establishment. The green signage makes it a little difficult to find at night.
A very good value hotel in typical IBIS style. We had a large family room with more than enough space for a family of 4. Best of all was that the sofa bed actually turned into 2 separate beds so much more comfortable for the children. Free-parking overnight outside or only Euros 1.80 for the underground car park. Only 10 - 12 mins drive to ferry terminal. Have put the location in the sat nav as we would use it again.
We had a lovely stay in the Ibis Styles Caen using a family room made up of a king and two single beds in interconnected rooms. We can not fault the room, service or location. The staff are knowledgeable with very good English whilst letting us attempt our fractured French. We cancelled an alternative hotel to return to the Ibis Styles as part of our holiday in France.
