I enjoyed my stay at your hotel - great location, nice room with a view of the square, easy walk into the town center. It was especially convenient for a tourist with no car and the staff was very helpful. Thanks

Stayed for one night for business. Handy for central Edinburgh, Waverley Railway Stationd and the Old town across the bridge and into the New Town. Nice location on St Andrews Square, felt safe. Good facilities in the hotel, options for an evening meal as well as tea and coffee machines. Near to Sainburys local amd M&S food hall, TK Max, the Ivy and Harvey Nicks - which stays open late on Thursday evenings. Friendly staff, clean linens, bathroom products and free wifi, plus my request for a quiet room was honoured. Very highly recommended.

Super city-centre location with all the services one requires. Good transport links (trains, buses and trams all close by) and loads of restaurants, museums etc within eary walking distance. Nice modern Scottish atmosphere from a French hotel chain.

Stayed overnight prior to start of our holiday to Austria. Booked months before our visit and surprised to find ourselves in a room with balcony. Super views and very comfortable room. Good selection and quality breakfast. Very comfortable and excellent service.

Hotel in great location and very clean and not much to fault. However having stated at other hotels in area i feel you did not get great value for money. Breakfast not great and didiifcult to find a clean table to sit at.

The location of the hotel is great close to the city center, the shopping areas and the main attractions. The rooms were small but clean and the service very good but for the price we paid I think the value was much less than in several hotels of the same group I visited over the last years. We had a room on the street side which was quite noisy. Edimburgh is a city with a rich nigh life but when you are in your room it is good to have a quiet environmment and you do not want to hear the buses at 6 am. The choice at breakfast was much lower than in many ibis hotels in the continent, which is a bit disapointing when you go to UK even though a continental breakfast is announced. The room for breakfast was also very small. For instance, we were 4 but could not get a table and had to split, two of us on a small table, two of us on another high table.

Amazing location, 2' walking distance from the main train station and all sights. Personnel very polite and helpful, rooms tidy and stylish, however rather small. The property (including facilities and breakfast) well maintained and beautiful, however the room prices are quite absurd, even for the UK.

I stayed in Edinburgh two nights at the Ibis hotel. Its location is fantastic because it's in the city centre and we arrivederci there very easily b bus from the airport. The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good.

Very centrally located hotel giving easy access to all central areas of Edinburgh. Great if you're shopping, visiting the Festival or just looking for a short break in this fabulous city. Every member of staff we came into contact with was welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms a little on the compact side but clean and functional. Continental breakfast offered a reasonable range of foods, perhaps needed a bigger selection of fruit but small kiln jars of Greek yoghurt were very tasty with the various fruit purées and dried fruits and nuts. Sour dough baguettes also very tasty. Good value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ibis Styles St Andrews Square. Although the rooms are small, they were very clean and nicely styled. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet. The breakfast was an added bonus. Continental breakfast items were continually replenished by a quick wait staff. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location and close by restaurants, museums and shops. Overall, a great stay!

Stayed 1 night (for a friends birthday). hotel staff very good, but hotel felt more like a travel lodge Breakfast included - European only. Not an egg in sight! So had to go out for a nice English/Scottish breakfast.

Interesting Room Tatan carpet and Highland Cows painted on side wall giving it a Scottish Theme. Staff. very attentive and knowledgeable. Loved the tee shirts worn by the staff . .Again a Scottish theme along with the tartan light shades and bagpipes and the Rampart Lions on the main door. Great choice and variety of food for Continental Breakfast . Brilliant location and great value for money

Hotel was short walk from Waverley Station, and the tourist bus hub. Also the Edinburgh Tram stop was just across the square. No problems with the room, and the inclusive breakfast was very good standard.

Very convenient mid priced hotel for the centre of Edinburgh. 5 mins from the station and 2 mins from Princes Street. Rooms a bit small, as is frequently the case in many central city hotels,, but comfortable. Helpful young staff.

Hotel very well located (5 minutes from Waverley Station by foot), staff always with a smile, kind and helpful. Room with a excellent decoration and a optimized space. View to Saint Andrew Square and Calton Hill.

pros: good location, train station, supermarket, fast food and department store is in walking range. Wifi is free and super fast. breakfast is ok. toilet is big. cons: windows sound insulation is poor.

Stayed for one night prior to going on holiday. Very comfortable hotel, excellent staff service. Provided take away breakfast as we left very early for the airport. Convenient location for onward travel to airport by tram or bus.

The Ibis Styles hotel is the perfect place to stay for our short break in Edinburgh with friends. Located in St Andrews Square at the end of George Street, it is ideal for shopping in Princes Street, pubs and restaurants in Rose Street and the Dome and other quality venues in George Street itself. The hotel is modern, stylish and immaculately clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and overall it was the perfect place to stay. I've no doubt we will return.

Have stayed here once or twice a year since the hotel first opened. Consistently good value and quality. It's a budget hotel but all you need for either a short business trip or leisure break. Located right in the city centre, 5 minutes walk from Waverley train station, and a stone's throw from the tram stop to the airport. Dora and the reception team are always keen to make you feel welcome and assist where possible. Wholeheartedly recommend. Check rates as they fluctuate with demand.

The location is fantastic, the rates were very competitive, the staff is friendly, and the room was nice, quiet, and comfortable. My only criticism (and a very minor one at that), is that the breakfast did not offer a lot of choice nor did it change from day-to-day. We would definitely return though!

Hotel design

The hotel is full of character and maintains modern functionality with a nod to tradition. Purple, green and blue bring a distinctive Scottish hue which is enhanced by funky furnishings such as wee whiskey barrel nightstands and wry Scot-slang friezes which educate as well as inspire. Take a course in Scottish slang as embroidered carpets with local lingo take you on a winding journey through the country's colourful use of language. Illustrated murals in each room tackle different Scottish themes, meaning you might fall asleep in a field of thistles or be woken by the glare of a highland stag. And of course, where there are trimmings, they're in tartan.

Creatively crafted with full of Gaelic heritage and humour, our native designer pays homage to this cosmopolitan city still roaring with a fierce national pride. The hotel is alive with the energy, wit and vibrance of native artists, writers and comedians who sing, splash and regale with their tales of the city and surrounding Highlands. Herringbone plays with stainless steel and bonds Baronial with slapstick, wittily reflecting the diversity of the capital.

The interior ensures that your Celtic adventure continues when you step back into your hotel. The character and warmth of this proud country will be just as alive in the carpet beneath your feet as in the heather you walk through or Scotch you sip. Playful cultural references will keep you smiling throughout your stay in your own wee Scottish haven. Just watch out for Nessie who's hidden amongst the décor of the corridors!
