We stayed at the Ibis Style for the weekend and found it utterly charming. The room was beautifully appointed and very clean. Breakfast was continental and plentiful. We also found the staff very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you !
I wanted to stay in a historic Perret building and this hotel is well-situated for downtown Le Havre. I understand the look is supposed to be 1950s and I liked the style and the decoration. We had a suite and our room was nice. But the bathroom was old and a bit smelly. The front door did not close properly. The kids' room was very basic (just a sofa bed and a wardrobe). Breakfast was nice, in a lovely breakfast room. Staff were friendly. It just needs a bit of modernisation.
Central location not too far from station and ferry. I walked from the station but there are plenty of taxis available. Friendly staff. Great breakfast in relaxing surroundings. Styled 50's retro which is fun. Interesting town to learn about and explore . Hotel provides a quiet retreat after a busy day exploring Normandy
Room too small, not value for money. And price included breakfast no option to remove. This hotel in not in Style as it claim, toilet is so small and next to the bed. Balcony look like is still under constructing.
Very kind and competent reception. Excellent breakfast buffet. Bathroom excellent size, bedroom just a little cramped. Very noisy door ( like most IBIS) which other people love to let slam. Walking distance from lots of restuarants.
Good hotel but with dated decor and bedding . Well located for weekend arrival close to town center and with lots of public parking . No air conditioning but with a good breeze thru the window . Good breakfast included in price .
Hotel newly refurbished, very trendy... Great location, clean room and bathroom.. Good service and excellent breakfast! Room too hot, no individual A/C so open window = Mosquitoes and seagull cries!!!
We had a room at the end of a corridor. Indeed, the room was referbished a few years ago, but building a shower in a small double room makes it even smaller. Therefor, the left side of the bed board was cut off and the bed was placed against the wall. An old closet annex secretary jammed more space, the door could not close with clothing in the closet. A TV was placed on that closet, almost at ceiling level. Some places rather dusty and tooth brush and paste in shower at arrival. Toilet almost against or under the sink. This room can NOT be qualified for a double room. Breakfast is good, staff is nice and professional. I guess we were just unlucky as I have seen other and better rooms there.
an interesting decor, loved the 60s theme. Good sized bedroom. bath and shower. good parking nearby. Reception staff (Samuel) was very helpful pointing out where restaurants were. handy for the ferry terminal.
Nice room in 1950's style but with modern day comfort: well equipped bathroom, good bed. The breakfast room is also in style but maybe a little small when the hotel is fully booked. Good breakfast too. No own parking but ample (free) overnight parking in close vicinity of the hotel. Too few free plugs in the room to charge laptop, GSM., etc.
Enjoyable overnight stop. Friendly Receptionist who spoke to us in English giving us good advice on where to eat, visit, shop etc. We liked the retro decor in the rooms, comfortable bed, free water and sweets. Handy to have a little fridge in room. Separate toilet which filled alarmingly high in flushing! Buffet Breakfast quirkily set out again in retro style, nice selection for a continental. We managed to park outside for free. Sat evening and all day Sunday free. Left on ferry next day so great location for port.
Good location - street parking not a problem. The receptionist was very helpful; she recommended an excellent restaurant. It was not the best Styles hotel that we have staid in in France but it was definitely very good value. Le Havre is well worth an overnight stay.
The 37 rooms dance to the rhythms of the '50s, using geometric lines and retro motifs, vintage pieces and stylish replicas. On the walls, the jitterbug! Lemon yellow, raspberry pink! From the curtains to the cushions, period fabrics in colourful, bold patterns. As for the furniture, Ibis Style's ultra-comfortable Sweet Beds are surrounded by wooden collector's pieces and vintage knick-knacks. Kidney-shaped coffee tables or period dressing tables, Scandiphones or transistor radios, wall sconces and lamps with a retro look. The ultimate for those who are into details: the bathrooms are covered in Métro tiles and the red fridge in the dining room is a SMEG !
Welcome to Le Havre, in the geometric layout of the Perret neighbourhood, an authentic product of the '50s. Perfect timing, from secret vintage shops to the trendiest magazines, '50s décor is making a huge comeback. . Nostalgic bargain hunters and devoted antiques fans, the owners of the Hotel Ibis Styles Le Havre Centre have looked everywhere to find emblematic furniture and cult objects that have travelled through time without aging in the slightest. and cult objects that came through the decades without a wrinkle.
The '50s were more than a style. They represented a lifestyle full of invention and optimism. People come here in couples or with the family, for business or to enjoy the seaside. In a vintage décor with all the modern comforts, even if you aren't nostalgic, you'll love this trip through time!
