We stayed here for 1 night while visiting family at the end of November 2017. It was a particularly busy time in Edinburgh due to the Christmas markets opening weekend and a national rugby match (Scotland vs All Blacks) at nearby Murrayfield stadium and the cost reflected that. Positives: bright, clean budget hotel in a great location if travelling by car as it is just off the ring road to the west of the city with free parking. The tram stop is 5 minute walk with a journey of 20-30 minutes in to the city centre. There is also a shopping centre 5 minutes walk away. Great for a small family as our room had a bunk bed above the double bed which our son loved. 24/7 vending machines, free tea/coffee machine and microwave in the reception area. WiFi throughout. Negatives: expensive for what it was (but that was the case for all hotels in Edinburgh that night), bed was hard and a bit uncomfortable, room had a slightly musty smell. Things to be aware of: it is a budget hotel so no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (but free tea/coffee machine downstairs), the shower cubicle is in the room itself, and the door to the toilet isn't quite sealed so potential for smells to drift, and no hairdryer in the room.
