Excellent location for early morning flight at Edinburgh airport, right next to very efficient tram service taking you from town centre to airport.Staff at hand on arrival and with prior check in keys available on arrival

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and bed comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and good value. The only thing we would have liked that wasn't there was a wee kettle and tea and coffee in the room.

WOW what a great hotel. It was in the best spot to be. Tram is just a cross the road which takes you into the center of the city. easy way back also. A real big shopping center is also in walking distance. We had the best time on the 30 & 31 of December. It's the best hotel to stay in. I will surely stay again. Thank You the service was the best also.

Fantastic value for money. Small but comfortable family room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideal location for visiting Edinburgh centre - we hopped on the tram. This may become our new "go to" place to stay.

We were in Edinburgh for a rugby match and were struggling to find reasonably priced accommodation. So we chose this hotel, feeling a bit anxious about the concept. We shouldn't have worried. It is in an out of town business park so no atmosphere but is only yards from a tram stop. The room was small but comfy and seemed to be well sound proofed as we didn't hear any noise at all.Breakfast was very good and again reasonably priced.

Room was clean and tidy. Staff were nice and helpful. But our room was under the reception and all i could hear all night were people’s voices. Isolation in this hotel is very very poor. Won’t be going back again.

very well sited hotel in easy reach of tram @buses near by frankie@bennys restarant also this hotel now has its own food service at nights also very fine breakfast if you wish great and very helpful staff

Great location for Edinburgh airport facilities perfect for the short night stop over before an early flight. We look for value to match the short stay and this was perfect. Room was much better than expected and the service was brilliant

IBIS Gyle Edinburgh The location is good. The room was not cleaned (vaccum cleaned). I stayed there for 5 days and I had to ask for the tooth brush/paste every single time. Guest should be taken care of based on expectation.

We stayed here for 1 night while visiting family at the end of November 2017. It was a particularly busy time in Edinburgh due to the Christmas markets opening weekend and a national rugby match (Scotland vs All Blacks) at nearby Murrayfield stadium and the cost reflected that. Positives: bright, clean budget hotel in a great location if travelling by car as it is just off the ring road to the west of the city with free parking. The tram stop is 5 minute walk with a journey of 20-30 minutes in to the city centre. There is also a shopping centre 5 minutes walk away. Great for a small family as our room had a bunk bed above the double bed which our son loved. 24/7 vending machines, free tea/coffee machine and microwave in the reception area. WiFi throughout. Negatives: expensive for what it was (but that was the case for all hotels in Edinburgh that night), bed was hard and a bit uncomfortable, room had a slightly musty smell. Things to be aware of: it is a budget hotel so no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (but free tea/coffee machine downstairs), the shower cubicle is in the room itself, and the door to the toilet isn't quite sealed so potential for smells to drift, and no hairdryer in the room.

Stayed overnight to be handy for morning flight from Edinburgh airport. Very pleased with everything. Amazing value too. Wld def return. Also if u wanted to see Edinburgh on a budget the team stop into city centre is just opposite! Staff nice.

Comfy bed, as usually in all Ibis locations, which makes the resting very "recharging" (= Nice not that expensive breakfast. 24hrs free tea and coffee at the reception level. Friendly staff members always eager to help you with everything (8

Very hotel is a good value and is very clean with easy access to all things. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff were very courteous and helpful. The hotel was very well located based on our travel plans.

Very happy with standard of hotel for the money. Checking in was very easy, room clean and adequate for a one night stay, probably no longer than that. Space to hang up some clothes but case had to remain on the floor , open, but as I said our stay was short. It was very quiet overnight and despite our very early start there were quite a few people in the foyer. I can’t comment on breakfast as it didn’t start until 6:30 , too late for us but there was a tea and coffee machine available downstairs. A handy thing was a weighing machine for cases, great idea and free to use. Overall I would certainly use this hotel again and recommend it to anyone flying from the nearby airport.

The location is perfect. Edinburgh Gateway is in walking distance, the airport just a short drive away, starting at 6 am it can easily reached by public transport. Staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms small but very comfy.

Whilst the hotel is in a reasonably quiet location, my sleep was disturbed by those smoking outside the reception. The noise carries and therefore I suggest that a designated smoking area is moved away from the front door

I stayed here for two nights while in Edinburgh on business. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was warm, clean and ample for my needs. No kettle in room and menu was fairly basic, so I ate out. Breakfast was strictly continental but again was ample. Selection would be repetitive if staying more than two nights. I felt that £180 for 2 nights B&B was a little overpriced for what I got. After all this is a budget hotel. I'll try somewhere else next tun

The room was as we expected, very small with minimal amenities, but very clean and close to the airport. The check in was quite efficient and the service was pleasant, but we felt the staff should have offered more information about the hotel and its surroundings. For instance, we were given our key but not given any direction regarding how to get to our room. Each person staying in the room should be given a key. There was not a hair dryer in the room. The hotel served its purpose as a place to stay overnight prior to an early morning flight.

Not knowing what to expect as a first time user it is always hard to envisage actual experience with advertising blurb. We liked the "pod" idea, basic but all that is required for an overnight place to rest your head that is clean and functional. Some points did let it down such as the bed lights. In general the lighting is good as I hate hotel rooms where the lighting is so poor you cannot read in bed (we carry DIY style headlamps) and you can read in bed with the lighting here but it the bed lights are silly! They are "touch pad style" - sometimes it is fiddly to find small light switches but it is impossible to find the point on a touch pad to put the bed light on at night when the room is dark. Also, particularly annoying for the elderly was the movement detector in the small toilet as if used overnight the light comes on to the annoyance of wife/husband/partner. This is compounded as the door to the toilet is not full height so the bedroom is illuminated too. The continental breakfasts are more than adequate and the staff are nice and most helpful.

Good customer service, rooms clean and efficient could do with couple more plug sockets near the bed. Brilliant led shower nice and clean throughout good value for money. Centrally located for teams into Edinburgh or trains into Edinburgh or further north but also great for a airport taxi approx £9 gbp
