Small rooms with shower and basin in the bedroom consequently a smell of damp persisted. Staff good, breakfast adequate, cleanliness fine. But won't be staying there again. Approximately 20 minutes walk to the port.
Great location out of the town centre but close enough to stroll to the medieval centre and port/harbour. Very pleasant staff. Clean hotel. Really enjoyable. Secure hotel parking and easy on street parking very cheap.
A practical and clean hotel in front of the train station of Vannes. Not so far from the town's centre which is only 10/20 minute walk away. The breakfast maybe would be better with some hot dishes and things like that.
This is our second stay at this hotel in the last few weeks, it suits our needs, room is modern and clean, excellent double glazing blocks out all outside noise as hotel is opposite a Busy Train Station...Friendly staff.
This hotel was so bad that I have even put in a formal complaint about it, which I have never done before. We stayed a whole week and the problems just kept piling up! First our air conditioning kept failing and nobody seemed to be able to sort it out. When the staff (who tried really hard to help) attempted to move us to another room on the same floor they found out that the air conditioning was not working for the whole first floor. We spent a number of uncomfortable nights (opening the window wasn't a great alternative as the hotel is opposite the main train station and on a noisy road) and then accepted a room on the third floor - where the shower and basin were actually in the bedroom! We were told that we would be able to get a snack in the evening at the hotel restaurant at weekends but that turned out not to be true and, given the strong smell of sewerage on the ground floor near the restaurant, this may not have been a bad thing. We could get away from the smell but the reception staff had to work in it all day! The hotel has a great position, with a 15 minute walk into the old town of Vannes and easy to get to from the ring road. The staff were wonderful and very embarrassed about the problems. They even gave us a small present when we left as an apology. It was not their fault but the Accor hotel group should be ashamed.
Arrived here late during a thunder storm and were all welcomed by a very friendly receptionist. The restaurant was closed and our children were a bit hungry so the bar man at the ajoining bar went to the kitchen and found some hot chocolate which he made up for them. He too was chatty and friendly. This was our second stay at an Ibis Styles this month (other one was in Niort - also excellent) and we cannot say enough for them. Having interconnecting rooms was a real treat for all of us as it meant that the children had their own bathroom and TV.
We had an extended stay in this very nice hotel and were made very welcome. We walked along the sentier litoral, accessing it using the excellent public transport links just outside the hotel. Similarly, it was not difficult to get to the Gare Maritime to take a ferry or boat tour round the Golfe. Going to Carnac to see the megaliths was a little more difficult, but we did it. Ask about the free Navette the hotel provides. The staff were lovely, they spoke excellent English at the desk, the atmosphere was very relaxed and the attached bar/restaurant was very welcoming.
