bed was comfortable and warm. Room neat and tidy. Dated decor & building but some effort has been put in to update a little. Bathroom basic. There was a sign up saying that you would get up to a 7 minute shower. Well I never got close and one day was lucky for a 2 minute shower. The length of hot water varied with each shower so you never know how long you actually had. Disappointing after a hard days work when you wanted a good hot shower to wash the grime of the day.
Upon check in, the new Manager explained that he just took over managing the motel and is still learning the policies of Accor Group. Our rates include breakfast and he assured us, he could prepare hot breakfasts for us as he was also preparing dinner for a big footy group. After visiting the Ninety Mile Beach and the Lakes, we came back to the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised that the Manager prepared and cooked the food for us too. Three dinner plates came out in 15 minutes and they were reasonably priced. Steaks were grilled beautifully accompanied by a nice fresh salad and chips. On the rooms, my son commented that the single bed was quite narrow. Bedsite table tops were quite dusty. Understandable as the motel is located along the major highway. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and loved the hospitaliy!
Excellent service and cleanliness and value for money. Only things I could fault was another family booked a room for lesser value than ours and had microwave facilities and a sofa, not a big disappointment but you'd just expect the higher rates to come with those facilities.
Motel was very good for the price, continental breakfast included was reasonable and the bed and pillows were excellent. Had quite some difficulty finding the Motel, the address would make you think that it is in the centre of Sale but it is quite a way out towards Bairnsdale .Had to ring to get instructions . Helpful staff told me how to find it.
We stayed between Christmas & New Year when there were only about 2 staff on board. While comfortable, the room had a very noisy airconditioner, and the bathroom could really use an update. Having said that, we still enjoyed our two nights there. Sale is a beautiful town.
I have decided to spend 3 days of my Christmas break with my wife at this property . We ended up leaving after one night even though I was charged for 3 nights! when I booked this hotel online, I had certain expectation for an Ibis Styles property. Instead, I found an outdated rural motel. what really put us off though was seeing Cockroaches in the bathroom. The lady at the reception was very nice. However, there was no staff around after we checked in on Christmas day or Boxing day. So, we simply left the key in the room and drove back to Melbourne. I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It's a typical country motel. Parking could be difficult if the car park is full. Wifi is available and free, but I didn't need to use it. The motel is on the highway, but road noise wasn't a problem, though I could hear people talking and snoring next door.
Stayed here on a recent business trip to Sale, WiFi good, room clean an comfortable and bed was was really good. The only downside was a Sunday night and no meals available but overall really good value.
Nice and clean room, but a bit dated. When I booked on the internet it showed restaurant open Monday to Thursday but on arrival was informed its not open. After spending all day travelling the last thing I wanted to do was go out again to get an evening meal.
I was very please I had decided to stay at this property. Our unit was quite large, at the back of the hotel, upstairs and on the opposite side of a restaurant bar that was open until the late hours. It was quiet and very pleasant. Our welcome was good. The continental breakfast was excellent with some fresh berry fruits I hadn't tried before. We had dinner at a club a short distance away. they had a courtesy vehicle that picked us up and then delivered us back when we were ready. the whole experience was great.
This was just what we expected - basic facilities, clean and friendly helpful service. Internet was great - was able to research and submit uni assignment during the stay. Only downside was noisy fridge! Continental breakfast was a good option. Was even delivered to the room with the toaster on the one day we had to leave early.
Friendly staff and a great package that included breakfast for a very reasonable price. The continental breakfast was spectacular - served in the dining room and far exceeded expectations. The rooms were nothing special but included all you need and everything worked. I would return without hesitation.
Clean and comfortable with a pleasant welcome for travellers. Spacious and very clean room and a good breakfast included in the rrom rate. It was good to get a call to say reception would be open when I was running late.
The money we were paying for this motel through Accor with the so called 40% discount was more than if my wife and I had paid the full rate. I don't know how Accor got this Motel ,and the discount so so wrong. We were booked in for 3 nights and stayed the one night, and would never stay here again. The young lady on reception did her best make things better for us.
We changed towns just to stay at another Ibis Styles Hotel and were very disappointed we stayed at Sale. The menu on the internet and in the room did not resemble what was offered - Parma & Chips - nothing else!
We stayed here enforce from Sydney to Melbourne Good location, not to far away from main shopping centre. Everything was good apart from ac in the room which really wasn't working and was more of a fan than air conditioner! Good customer service and free wifi and lots of parking.
Just don't… Checked in with the only interest from the receptionist was to get payment on arrival, no how are you, do you require anything, welcome to the hotel..just we need you to settle your account now…so welcoming…not! The room - outdated decor, dirty looking floor surfaces, dust on every surface, barely any TV channels, glasses in the mini bar still had the wine and lipstick from the previous guest, toilet was dirty, bed was uncomfortable, the DIY paintwork is like something from a bad episode of better homes and gardens gone wrong, signs to request you don't shower longer than 7 minutes, housekeepers that knock on your door well before checkout time and the birds outside the room flying up into the ceiling cavity via the cracks in the splitting outside fascia make you wonder what is lurking in the ceiling of your room Checkout - receptionist was too busy on the phone to even interact with the guest in from of them… Comes close to being one of the worst hotels.. and I use the term hotel loosely …that I have ever stayed in….
After many stays I feel this property under current management will be off our list. The rooms remain dirty even after previous complaints. When refurbished the rooms were pleasant and clean but our last 3 stays it has got worse and worse. It is great to get deals through Accor and ease of booking but I will pay a little more to have something clean.
Pretty average. Stayed in an Ibis Styles in Warrnambool which was great but this was a tired old venue with disinterested staff. Admittedly the room was not expensive but this hotel really needs a makeover
Get what you pay for! We got a bed and very basic room. Had to find our own food in town as restaurant was closed, just wanted to settle in for the night after a long drive. For families there was plenty of space outdoors for playing. For a restful night the highway is at the front door and you could also hear the nearby trains. The hotel is really run down and feeling tired. I guess we expected a little more comfort.
