Satnav found the hotel for us. It was a good night stop but very small bedroom and tiny bathroom. If you are of a larger size request a larger shower room. No restaurant service at weekends but good restaurants in the town, a short drive away.

Hotel located less than 10 minutes from St Emilion and all the local vineyards. Extremely clean hotel, great quite rooms. Good breakfast in morning. Ask for Aimad who works the front desk in afternoons, knowledgeable of sites and restaurants, makes reservations for you and extremely friendly, a major plus to the hotel.

Still a good halfway house in our regular drive across France. Clean and tidy everywhere. Wi-Fi OK. Food,is simple but excellent. Our only complaint, as old ones, is the struggle to get into the bath/shower.

Our stay was comfortable and the staff very nice and close to the village of st Emilion which was great. I just wish that he hotel had small soaps and shower caps and moisturizer lotion travel size would have been nice, since we have been traveling and this was the last leg of our trip and was not going to buy a full size at the store just to bring it back in my suitcase for the trip back home.

Comfortable stay. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed - on a Saturday night! This meant that we had to drive to find another restaurant after a long drive from Northern France. Had we known this in advance we would have probably stayed elsewhere.

Small hotel recently upgraded, new furniture. Very attentive. Good that there was no TV in dining room. But no tea-making facilities in room or in reception. Cannot make cup of tea. Would need to pay bar prices or room service prices just to get a cup of tea in the afternoon. Very clean. Good parking. Good breakfast.

There are better Ibis budget hotels than the Bordeaux Saint Emilion. Certainly they should do something about the noise pollution as I could easily hear another person snoring and did not get a good nights sleep, which is the only reason I was there in the first place.

Parking ample, a good clean and comfortable hotel with a large walk-in shower (no bath), and my room had views over the vineyards. Breakfast was a very good Continental buffet, and the hotel has a big bar and a sunny outside terrace. It's a 5min drive to St Emilion, so a great location. The reception staff were fantastically helpful and v friendly, knew the region very well and had contagious enthusiasm for the area. The only thing I would say that was not 100% was the sound insulation. I did hear shower and toilet flushes from the neighbouring room quite a bit. I was in room 36 which had a different gap between it and room 34 than alot of the rooms, so maybe it was just my room that lacked the normal insulation....worth asking if you're booking at a time when hotel is full...

There was this most helpful lady at the desk that facilitated our travel in this gorgeous region. One hopes for this but the help was given with a genuine smile. Also pleasing was the quality for value at this location. We would have stayed longer except for commitments in another portion of our travels

The hotel is about 4 kms from St Emilion's city center. There's nothing close to the hotel. It has a restaurant that seemed to be OK. It's a basic budget hotel, that is very good for the value we paid.

This was just an overnight stop but this hotel's location is such that we would like to go back to explore the Bordeaux region from this base. The hotel is modern and keeps the high standards we have come to expect of the Ibis chain. A very comfortable night, with very good customer service. The self-service breakfast is what we expect from this chain - very good.

If I had been reading the reviews of this hotel 2 years ago I would not of gone near it. It was the review of a fellow traveller who pointed out that it had been refurbished and if you were seeking a ‘pit stop’ in fitted the bill. Our trip was different; we were visiting the area of St Emilion and wanted a base. The first thing that struck us was the friendliness of the staff at reception and the level of welcome we received. The rooms, are just a little smaller than other rooms we have stayed in, though, the bed could be a factor as a double is actually two singles put together and does account for taking up a lot of the space. The bed was very comfortable; the sound proofing of the room was above average. The cleanliness of the room and en-suit was impeccable, if housekeeping was a problem before, it certainly is not one now. The hotel restaurant is a very new modern affair, sadly it was closed the Friday and Saturday night we where there. The menu is small, thus, this should tell you that the hotel is mainly for business people or the odd week-ender. There is a blackboard serving a daily special in addition to the menu. A 3 course meal of the day runs at about €15 and an entrecote steak is €16. Now compare this to a plate in one of the St Emilion cafes; such as a €32 plate of rice and veal, well, you work it out. Car parking is not a problem. Access to St Emilion and Libourne is also not a problem, depending on the time of day. The bottom line is this, if you want a hotel that is clean, quiet, friendly, helpful and at a reasonable price then stay here, if not, then go and empty your wallet in St Emilion.
