Ibis astana happened to be the best hotel in the former soviet union I have ever met before. Everything is fine, especialy personnel, very friendly and really are ready to fullfill any wish in 15 minutes as is written in the hotel.
Very pleasant employees, comfortable room without minibar. Appeared mistake of paying - money from bank card were charged instead of points from Accor profile. But was easily corrected and money counter-transfer was completed in few days
Accor review your returant and bar costings Whoah. Clean the sofa and room in 1514 and also 1512 clean the internal of the windows (lovely views but look straight ahead only.... don't look down) Mattress, what are they called so i can avoid buying one! Front desk need to get the proper info to them as had to prove cost via my itinery (Used priority card) Take water with you, nothing available if you are thirsty, Book a taxi for 15 mins prior to when you need as then it will arrive on time (taxi to airport dependent anything from 2,100 KZT to 3,000 KZT, pay by cash. Airport between 21-23kms taxi and time of day dependent. Room decor and furniture basic
I have stayed in 50+ Accor hotels so far (Ibis, Mercure, Novotel), and was really disappointed by my experience at Ibis Astana: - Staff spoke poor English (especially bar and breakfast - at breakfast I asked for a cup of hot milk, waited 20 minutes, never got it) - Staff does not know hotel amenities (I had to explain to the person at reception what express laundry is) - I needed to do laundry and deadline was 7PM. I called at 8PM and they couldn't make any exception On the bright side, rooms are new and clean. Best, MG
The brand new hotel in Astana, probably the best for it's price. Good location at right side of Ishim river, but not far from main government organizations and business centre. Fast and reliable internet, excellent room service.
The hotel is new and close to the city center. Important bus stop in front of the hotel. Rental bike on the other side of the road and shopping mall at 300 mt. Rooms are cleaned with good wi-fi. Breakfast is good.
Quality of breakfast was very poor , I didn't eat any cheese and salami for breakfast. Every day it look like old foods from previous day. I saw the other guests, and they didn't want eat it too. The staff saw it, went around many times and didn't change it.
I enjoyed my stay at ibis Astana due to coziness and cleanliness of my room and responsiveness and professionalism of front desk staff. I am looking forward to returning to this property as part of my next visit to Astana. Another item that stood out was direct contact and interface with Front Office manager, Yevgeniy. He was very welcoming and hospitable with hotel guests making them feel right at home.
It was a great hotel overall. Good location (walking distance to Astana Mall, Sultan Mosque, Museum, etc) and buses next to it to go everywhere if you don't fancy walking. Beds super comfortable and good view of the city. Just two things we didn't like: the transfer from the airport was 30m late (but we agreed we were not gonna pay it and they were fine with it) and they have different breakfast options and different prices for it that we were not informed when we told them we wanted to take the breakfast.
