We stayed at the Ibis Styles, Beaulieu-sur-Mer two years ago and enjoyed it so much we wanted to return. Sometimes this can be a mistake but it was certainly not the case, the staff were as welcoming, friendly & helpful as ever.
Another bonus is that a basic buffet breakfast is included. The hotel is right opposite the train station & bus stops and walking distance to the beach (A little over 5 minutes) So there is no need for a car, public transport will get you to Eze village, Monaco, Menton, Italy, Nice, Antibes, Grasse, St. Raphael or even up into the mountains. Many walks can be found and there are restaurants nearby, La Chicoree was our favourite but be aware, like others in Beaulieu they observe Sunday as a Family day & do not open) so we had a day out by train and returned after a meal in St.Raphael, (Trains run late even on Sunday) Our room was spacious and we were lucky to have a side view of the bay, We love the area and will no doubt return again. The only down side is that yes you can hear the trains if you insist on opening the double glazed windows (There is air con) but I did not personally find them a problem, you cannot have it both ways, reliable public transport on the doorstep must be a plus. Trains run until late, buses tend to wind down around 2000-2030hrs.
