"The team at ibis Moscow Centre Bakhrushina are looking forward to welcoming you for 5 night(s) ". The above extract from an email sent to me says it all . Upon arrival, reception staff made us feel welcome. Exceptional service from Fedor in taking the time to fully brief without the need to prompt him, on places to eat , Moscow public transport options, hotel services including the very high standard buffet breakfast, Immigration / visa and Registration matters. During our visit to Russia, we were to stay at this hotel on 2 other occasions - with the same welcoming Fedor. He was so professional ,courteous, polite and informative and was a model in international relations. I am sure he will progress rapidly through the Accor chain of hotels.
As for the hotel, all other reception staff we dealt with were very helpful , friendly and professional - as if they were working in a 5 star hotel. It was almost a pleasure to go back to the hotel each night.. Special mention to other reception staff named Amir and Olesya and the tall thin gentleman working as cashier for breakfast .
The bed was very comfortable and both the bathroom and shower were clean and functional. Very quiet location and felt totally safe late at night walking in the nearby streets. Although I thought the breakfast buffet was a little expensive – it was outstanding and it did save on having lunches. Air con in the room was rather warm. Widescreen TV with great selection of channels. No fridge in room which would have been most useful .
Paveletskaya metro station is a short walk, approx 5-10 mins away. You can walk to the Red Square in approx 25 mins. The terminus of the Moscow - Domodedovo Airport Express is a gentle 15 min stroll.
Numerous restaurants about 10 -15 min walk away . The excellent Tretyakov Gallery is a 20 min walk away and Gorky Park is handy .
Cant recommend this hotel enough. Can’t be faulted .
