Having stayed here before we knew staircase was difficult for my husband so we had requested a room on ground floor unfortunately none were available and we had room on third floor . Fortunately there was a tiny lift could fit only one person The room also smelt slightly of vomit .

Met by very friendly staff. Hotel was clean, bright and welcoming. Situated in a great spot , short walk from car park and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Breakfast was sufficient, and again, staff very pleasant. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of the walled city 'intra mouros'. The rooms are well decorated and although they are smaller than the rooms at the Ibis styles at the port the location makes up for this. St Malo is a wonderful city and the hotel is perfectly situated for all the sights, bars and restaurants.

This was the worst place I ever stayed at and the first time I left a hotel to stay somewhere else even though I had prepaid and therefore lost the money. Apparently the hotel had the doors repainted, and our room smelled horribly of the kind of paint that gives you a headache. Turning on the ventilation (which in the bathroom turned on automatically) made it worse. And opening the windows was not an option because the room was on the ground floor, and the large windows only opened completely, so that everyone walking by on the busy road could have come in. The reception was friendly, but refused to do anything about the situation, like at least give us a room on a higher floor. Furthermore, when we had a shower, the bathroom became unusable, because there was no shower curtain and the room got completely flooded when showering, so that entering it again resulted in wet feet. And on top of that our room was next to the breakfast room, and in the very early morning, the coffee machine vibrated against the shared wall, making it sound like it was *in* our room. This stay nearly ruined our holiday, so we decided to fork out the extra money to stay somewhere else. I already told the hotel all this in their feedback invitation, and did not even get an apology or an acknowledgment, which is why I am writing this now. Stay away!

room horribly small, room with a view was offered at an extra at the hotel [no mention on the web site or at booking], room noisy with window on the street, room stuffy, room access rather awkward, bathroom door impeded by the bed had better IBIS in Paris for less, and in Brittany far better B&B for less all over have been in France many times over the decades and this was simply a rip-off would have been better to stay 10 mins outside, visit the old town for a few hours then return

Welcomed in as soon as arrived which was late 22:45 nothing too much trouble explained everything needed to know, and if anything else told just ask, found all staff very friendly night & day. Situated just inside the walls in quiet location but just a minutes walk to the main square where we went to soak up the atmosphere with a late drink, room was great and bathroom had a spacious wet room, bed was big & very comfortable, breakfast was plentiful, also complimentary coffee in the small lounge area, recommended & would definitely stay here again ...

We had a room in the older part of the hotel on the 4th floor. The room was really nice but the bathroom was extremely small. Also the lift could take only 2 people at a push or 1 with a bag. It didn't always work when called from the ground floor, we had to go to the 1st floor to call it. Breakfast was simple but plentiful. However there wasn't a lot of room in the seating area. There was free tea and coffee making facilities all day in the foyer which was a nice touch.

Booked this hotel a bit 'blind' as I needed somewhere close to the marina. The service was excellent on arrival, and the room most spacious and comfortable. A great spot for exploring saint malo and beyond.

We were advised parking was available for our car. This was untrue paid public parking only if available. No lift, english TV channel advertised which was not so until the day b4 we left. We advised Anlo (senior front desk manager) who said we were wrong. They had to call a technician to fix it. She was rude and arrogant and did not deserve her position.

ibis Styles Saint-Malo Centre Historic close to all restaurants and harbour but as you entered the room there was unpleasant smell , twin beds had a mind of their own due to being on rollers, electric towel rail not working ,breakfast not as good as ibis Madeline 3k away .also lot of street noise. WE would not stay here again.

Lovely hotel, very clean ,breakfast plentiful, good beds. ideally situated as a base to spend days out. Evenings lots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Hotel staff great, very helpful, Nicholas a fantastic source of local knowledge. We are all over 50 and had a great time . Nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is well situated and the rooms adequate and calm. The breakfast room is badly adapted to the number of people coming through. Free tea and coffee is a nice touch. 10 euros per bike per night storage is too much, firstly because it was just a broom cupboard and secondly because it increased the cost of our night stay by 20 per cent.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and brilliantly located in the walled city. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Having the breakfast included in the price also made it great value. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough.

The staff were friendly but some aspects of this hotel were found wanting. We were shocked to find there was no lift. The room size was so small we had to turn sideways to pass by the end of the bed. It was not airconditioned, but had openable windows which in turn made it very noisy.

I am semi disabled our first allocated room was on the 1st floor spiral stair case which I could not manage helpfull staff put us in the annexe with a lift you could get two lifts in a uk phonebox not good but better than nothing staff good location brilliant a lovely building within the city walls car parking pricey but local would go back

The entrance to the rooms was 40 metres along the street from the reception. It was raining and we were given obsolete instructions on how to enter. A return trip to reception gave us the correct procedure. We were given a room on the top (5th) floor. We are in our 70s. The stairs were very narrow; the lift was the smallest ever seen - enough for one case and one person leaning over the case. My wife could not be tempted inside because it was so small. I went up with one case, my wife struggled to eventually reach the 5th floor. There was no corridor, just a 1square metre landing with two rooms off it. Our room was in the roof with oblique beams and no window at eye level. After a lot of hassle we were moved to a room on the ground floor which, in itself, was fine. Breakfast also was good. The only problem was that it was by the outside entrance door at street level and there was noise throughout the night of people coming and going. It is just as well we moved because the lift was out of order for the rest of our stay. Overall, it was the worst hotel in which we have stayed in 40 years of frequent foreign travel.

The room is compact, not easy to move to the rather spacious bathroom. Has high ceilings and big windows. Tiny side table. breakfast is fine, great fresh squeezed orange juice. receptionist suggested a great seafood restaurant 150 meters away. It's just super! We like the restaurant more than we love the hotel :)

Friendly and welcoming, easy access to all amenities. Rooms very nice, good breakfast. Located in the lovely Intra Muros walled city. Sleep quality excellent, very quiet next to city wall. 10mins walk from Brittany Ferries. The TGV If on foot is 30 mins walk, via coastal wall /dock or around 7 Euros in taxi (4 minutes).

Room was very small. Breakfast was simple but very fresh and continued topped-up. No toiletries complimentary in the room but bathroom was very clean. Same with the sheets. Reception staff very friendly.

Stayed here with three other dedicated cyclists, each carrying all their gear and stuff with them. A nice hotel but oh dear, why do they feel it necessary to charge each of us 10 euros (total 40 euros) just to park the bikes in the luggage store room! I know the cost was made clear when we booked but the amount did feel absurdly over the top to us, when other guests were storing suitcases for free!!!!
