This was a one night stop over on my way to Brighton from Luton. Not an ideal journey to the hotel via my sat nav which took me through central London which took a very long time. the hotel is not very close to outside restaurants or pubs and the food on offer was very limited - not the case in other Styles properties. I was allocated a very large room with a comfortable bed so no problem there but my TV would not pick up BBC1 or BBC 2

The location of this hotel couldn't have been so bad. 1 mile away from Croydon centre, on the busy London Road, you're better off taking public transport. The hotel has a nice setting. The staff were friendly, and got the password for wi-fi and a free drink. I was given a triple room, which was very generous. The room was ok, but I felt it wasn't clean enough as there were stains on the shelves and tables. Found some loose hair in the bathroom. Everything else was provided (hairdryer, soap, tea making facilities). Unfortunately, the rooms aren't sound proof. I kept hearing creaking of footsteps from the room above, as the floorboards are possibly old. Breakfast was reasonable and fresh, with a range of hot and cold drinks, cereals and pastries.

The experience of staying at this hotel was worth it and I recommend it to travelers. I found attentive and competent receptionists at this hotel. The bar and restaurant service also exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Ibis Styles London Croydon to travelers to London.

The hotel is a little dated, however the value for the stay was good. The staff were friendly and courteous. It was nice to have the breakfast included. Parking on site was nice as well. Good access to lots of shopping and restaurants.

As usual, the hotel, although basic in provision, was very clean, staff very helpful. ~The location suits me perfectly: when staying in Croydon, as I do once or twice every year, I prefer to use public transport, for which the hotel is perfectly suited: on a bus route and near main line stations for central London.

when I walked into the room, the bed was right there bang infront of me. It was an attic room and quite small. The bonus was there was free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee and an air conditioning control. It was quite quiet in the room even though a group of school children just checked in at the same time. The hotel was clean and bed comfy.

This Ibis is very well located on bus routes and not far from the station. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. There was ample breakfast which was constantly replenished. Free Wi-Fi worked well, and was not super slow like some other chains. The only word of caution I can offer is that if you have problems with stairs, check with the hotel to ensure that they have a room that is accessible to you. My wife is 'walking' disabled so when we were told the air room is on the first floor just up the stairs, we thought, 'OK'. However our first floor room was actually downstairs, round corners, and upstairs! A total of five sets of stairs, albeit some short flights. It almost appeared as if this was a route by the basement to get to a next-door property. However, apart from that, all was fine.

Carpet was dirty, walls were a mess! The shower was blocked so couldn't be used, very disappointing service, staff were all foreign and couldn't understand what we were saying. Was also asked for a different note when I was paying as it was a Scottish bank note! Disgraceful

I could only imagine working in a multicultural environment, when some of the staffs are able to speak little English in a hotel based in London, UK. The first night I arrived at the hotel, the TV, AC, and all of the electric plugs decided to stop working, and when a technician came, he could not figure out what was going wrong, and the options given to me were moving to other rooms which were either smaller or on higher floor, which were not my choices remembering my luggages and the layout of the hotel. Luckily it was still spring time, so I was not that miserable on first night in mid-teens centigrade temperature. Fortunately the 'daytime' technician came in the morning and sorted out the problem which apparently was a simple matter.

I stayed two nights in this hotel. Good location, easy to get to. The room was small but very clean, staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet and bed was comfortable. The only thing that should be improved is breakfast included in price. In my opinion, selection of food is quite limited, no eggs, vegetables. I stayed at three star Ibis in Warsaw and breakfast was so much better. So that was quite surprising and disappointing.

Very clean room and bathroom, we appreciate the air conditioning, good transport to centre of London, we used busses and train. Bus stop just before the hotel. Sometimes it was not easy to set the temperature of the water in shower (too hot) and the pressure was floated late in the evening. Towels were changed every day.

Noisy, could hardly get any sleep. Parking is not free. Card didn t work we were locked out of our room with two sleepy kids. Didn't have breakfast has we left at 5 am. Won't be returning and l wouldn't stay here again

The stay was terrible, because there is definitely a hot water problem in the rooms. I was moved once, and then told to move again but declined. The water takes about 15mins to get warm. However, the staff was very courteous, and accommodating. My opinion is that the hot water system needs to be upgraded.

Ibis London Croydon is a good hotel with acceptable connectivity to the London Center. Via bus and underground it takes less than an hour to get to the most famous places of the London. Rooms are very clean and the personnel is supportive. In comparison of the the services and price really good solution.

Reception greeting was ok everything explained and where to find room, was front ground floor room along what I would describe as a darkish not very welcoming passage. Room was clean but basic and bed comfortable (which is what to expect at Ibis) main road outside meant traffic noise was not good late at night and early morning. Bar and lounge area were freezing had some food and sat in bar area, food soon went cold and was nothing to write home about anyway, poor quality, girl serving behind bar needs to learn to say please and thank you and not just stick her hand out for money, same when giving change. Next morning I had security guard knocking on room door asking me if I was smoking in room, because alarm was going off somewhere, (not me never smoked in life) but when I left room for breakfast the corridor absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke. Breakfast, ok it was a free continental one, felt more like it was a prison breakfast with plastic everything and security guards patrolling along the lounge and reception area as if looking for persons trying to pinch tea bags, had some toast and went elsewhere for breakfast. Only good thing I can really say is that car parking charges were reasonable for London

I booked this Hotel because of the position, a family room was available and the price (we had breakfast included for two days). Upon reading the other reviews we had expected the room to be on the small side, however, when we got into our room we were very pleasantly surprised, it was very spacey, large comfortable beds and a large family bathroom, we were very comfortable here for the two days and longer would have been no problem. The room was impressively clean and although we didnt expect it, our towels were changed, bins emptied and our beds were changed and made after our first night! The breakfast choice was excellent, our two boys had the biggest breakfasts of their lives, they simple couldnt choose what to eat so they just had a bit of everything :-) The position of the Hotel is absolutely perfect, a short walk into the busy Croydon town centre and a bus stop just outside the hotel with all the buses you need literally every few minutes, and if you like Indian food, the indian restaurants are excellent! (curry for two nights in a row, yum!) The bus ride into London City (2 buses are required) is a bit long, but this is oly due to heavy traffic and the many may buses going the same way, so this is to be expected and it certainly didnt ruin our day out in London. So, as i said in my title it was almost perfect, but the two showers bearly worked, there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever making it impossible to have a shower, luckily there was a lovely big bath with endless hot water, so if youve got time, a soak in a hot bath is the only option. Would definately recommend this hotel and wouldnt hesitate to book it again.

It's a nice hotel, a little far from city center but accessible by tube. The room and the bathroom were clean, the air-condition was OK, the Wi-Fi was excellent. We also had coffee and tea in our room and an extra pillow as well. The only minus was the duvet which was small for two people.

Good value for money paid, close to London and Gatwick Airport. Staff were very good and check-in/out was easy. Breakfast is continental, but is included in the room price, an upgrade to English is possible for a extra few pounds, A bar is also available which also serves light meals until 10pm, bar is open until 11pm.

My second stay at this hotel and once again I was very impressed with how clean, modern and professional the hotel and my room were. This hotel is definitely better quality than any others I know of in London at a similar price point.

Awful awful - noisy, smelly, rude staff, bouncers on the door, nasty guests - awful - and had to pay for parking. I would not recommend this hotel to my biggest enemy- stay away and find somewhere else
