This is a two start hotel. The rooms are small by US standards but average for Europe. The room was big enough for the two of us without any issues. Two stars means no hand towels or individual shampoo and conditioner. There is a squeeze bottle of soap hung on the shower wall and above the sink. The furniture was cheap and the TV was small. But the bed was very comfortable. The location is in the suburbs. There is a mixture of businesses and apartments near by. It is the closest hotel to the CICG conference center. It is about a 10 minute walk. There are some restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is only a seven minute walk to the train station and 10 minutes to "downtown" where there are many restaurants and shops. The main shopping district is about a 30 minute walk. There are buses everywhere so you don't have to walk. In Geneva, you get a free bus pass when you stay at a hotel. If you get Google maps on your phone, you can pull up the quickest bus routes. Switzerland is different from most Europe in that breakfast doesn't automatically come with the room. Breakfast was $16 extra per person. I didn't try it but told it was very exciting. The hotel restaurant is reasonably priced but the meals aren't great.
I attended a conference at the Palexpo which is adjacent to the airport. This hotel is close to the main station and in a good neighbourhood. The bus stop is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel; Bus #5 goes to the Palexpo and Airport - 15 minute ride. Free public transit card from the hotel. Denner grocery store acroos the street, which was very handy. No fridge in the room to keep things cold. The room was small but very comfortable for 1 person. Free wifi was good and reliable. The continental breakfast was extra 16 CHF was average; the coffee was very good. Some fruit, cheese, cold cuts, breads...the same each day not change during my stay. Uber to the airport was 16-20 CHF. Geneva is a very expensive city.....Coffee at Starbucks start at 4.50 CHF...
I stayed at Ibis Nations in Geneva and enjoyed the excellent guest service a lot. Staff are very well informed of all what a visitor needs to know about the city and are always ready to help. The hotel is conveniently located for business with international organizations and has very comfortable rooms. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay
Well located if you need to go to the CICG. Price is good. Breakfast could be better, but it is fine. The only problem is that there is no fridge/frigobar in the rooms. That could improve the experience.
Positives : Superb service from Front desk staff, Convenient location, Very High Speed internet. Negatives : Very limited windows in the room with a big white empty wall to face from the bed gives a hide out feeling, room floor cleaning was not so great, breakfast options are a little bit lesser.
It is an excellent place to stay because it has everything provided in the hotel location where I was at during my business trip to Geneva. Such as for example, breakfast services was efficient that I was able to get these food on my own and the hotel staff members are excellent to communicate with me through an interpreter that I brought with me.
I had a very nice experience with my stay at Ibis Hotel in Geneva. The room was spacious, the facilities new and clean and the staff very polite. I also enjoyed the breakfast, for which a great selection of fresh and tasty stuff was offered. I totally recommend it!
Good all round. Out the way from the main city area although good as very quiet and no noise at night. Slight language barrier when they gave us a key to someone elses room. Luckily they weren't in it!
The Hotel is convenient and very comfortable. Basic, has everything that I need for my Business Trips. Stayed there several times as it is in a very quiet location. right by the bus route to & from work. If only they had coffee in the room for a quick caffeine fix.
As usual; no disappointment. Even the road construction on the street did not cause any problem at access. Everything I needed was there and nothing unnecessary. Clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast. Smiley service. Bar prices are same as everywhere else. The bus stop is just in front of the hotel.
It was a really good hotel with very helpful staff. The Hotel is close to UN buildings with the Bus No. 8 taking you there in less than 10 minutes. The Cornavin train station is in walking distance and peaceful surroundings. If they remain competitive in terms of prices I will definitely stay there again when in town.
My reservation preferences were not taken into account even though I booked a month in advance Food served in the restaurant was really not good (frozen food) Service was nice in spite of this Room was OK but very dark because of vis a vis
Very nice, modern, clean and affordable hotel for the expensive city of Geneva! I stayed with my wife for 2 nights and I have nothing negative to mention. The room was a regular ibis style room, fair enough in size (although I always prefer a bit larger ones), with good quality of new bedding and a rather spacious bathroom for an ibis hotel. Very clean and peaceful despite the street works taking place (room located on top floor - 8th). The entire hotel has a modern design and all the personnel is very friendly and helpful with good knowledge of English! The street works temporarily affect bus access (you can get directly by bus but in order to leave and go downtown you need to walk 5min in order to get the tram two blocks opposite the hotel). However, you may select to go downtown on feet (if the weather is in favor), a walking distance no more than 15 min) .An excellent experience overall! I would only suggest to make available a kettle in the room avoiding in this way the ups and downs to the the bar (very helpful staff giving you hot water any time you asked for).
The hotel is fairly central and two tram stops away from the Station. The room is the size i expected for a 2/3 * hotel but in room facilities could be improved. Tea and coffee making facility could add value. Air con don't really work. Buffet breakfast is OK but can be improve with more hot food choices.
I have stayed at the Ibis Centre Nations several times. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and efficient, the restaurant and bar are a great place to unwind after a long day of meetings. On my last visit, i was upgraded to a room with a comfortable sofa fo reading, which was great.
My stay at the ibis Geneve Centre Nations in November 2016 was once again a very good and comfortable one. This hotel, which I've stayed at 4-5 times now, is centrally located, just two bus stops north of the Cornavin train station, and four stops from the Palais des Nations. The street in front is now under major reconstruction, so there's some noise on the front side and the street, Grand Pre, is now a one-way north. But the hotel, service, and breakfast all remain excellent.
The hotel was easy to reach from train station. The free city transport cards (for buses and train, including airport!) are great. The city of Geneva is wonderful and worth of visiting and enjoy. It is precious in some points but it can be enjoyed in many other ways - walking in old town and near the lake, on the sun, swimming on the beach (yes! in September!), visiting gardens and museums, ...
The Ibis Geneve Centre Nations always provides a very comfortable and convenient place to stay, only a few blocks behind the Gare Conavin and a short distance to the United Nations. I've stayed here several times in recent years and always return.
I wanted to stay closer to my departure airport. Also, I certainly did not want to spend a bunch of money for 5 star hotel just to sleep and leave. 15 minutes from Geneva Airport. 15 minutes to Geneva water front. Comfortable and clean room. Good breakfast. It was perfect.
Geneva is a very expensive city with rooms at 4 and 5 star hotels exceeding $600 or $700 per night. the Ibis is clean, a bit spartan, but quite reasonable in price. Good comfortable bed. Service is great and friendly. Definitely a reasonable alternative when on a budget or a per diem that doesn't cover 5 star hotels.
