Good sized rooms, friendly and helpful restaurant staff, good food. The décor in our room was a little tired - our only reservation. Reasonable walking distance to the station, cathedral and rivers. Recommended.
Easy to locate. Ample parking in hotel car park. Helpful reception. Comfy night for me but my wife found the bed to be rather hard - could have done with a mattress topper. Breakfast was ample and good selection. Online check in & out great.
Not our hotel at all! I made a mistake. Beaune Styles is SO much better! I have to look better. No next time in Styles Tours for us. Room was big, but lots of stains in the carpet. The bathroom, was old and looked even older. The personal were nice but difficult to communicate with if you aren't French. The beds were not good. Good: lots of towels and that's pleasant.
Just a short stop enroute to Cherbourg. Very pleasantired. Staff helpful and cheerful Very nice modern rooms Fair restaurant but bar closed by 10pm! Too few staff on in evenings to run restaurant and bar and prepare for breakfast. Overall an enjoyable stay
Stylish Hotel room great size, bathroom with bath difficult to get out of as were both of advanced years but of good size too.Wonderful breakfast included in price.Tram & Bus stops just outside hotel everyone v friendly.thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
Convenient stop off with quiet comfortable room and good breakfast . Secure underground car park. Refurbished 4 or 5 years ago and still looking OK. The room lighting follows the modern trend of quite low light levels. The more mature traveller finds this difficult.
We stayed in Tours for an overnight last March so had planned to stay at the Ibis but I noticed the Ibis Style and thought I would give it a try. In fact I may try the brand again as we wouldn't want to base our opinion on the one Hotel. We thought that the Ibis Styles Tours was shabby, could do with some work and improved plumbing. We thought we were down in reasonable time for breakfast, but I guess a lot of earlier risers must frequent the Hotel, the staff was clearing up around us, and it can be construed as "hurry up". It is a shame as the room size is very nice and the hotel is handy for the city, the staff at check-in very welcoming and a very good restaurant near by, so next time in Tours we will we will stick to plan A (Ibis Gare).
A hotel of reasonable quality, with helpful staff, and a pleasant in-house restaurant. Useful for a stopover on a long journey. Getting there involves some town driving - but fairly easy to find. It has its own car park, but it's smallish and the entrance/exit is very narrow. The room was simple but attractive, and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately someone had been smoking in the room - uggh! - but it wasn't too bad after we'd aired it out for an hour.
Not the usual Accor experience: staff seemed really unhappy, a certain lassitude pervaded, very unusual. We were kept waiting; to check in, to have a 'welcome' drink at the bar with our ticket grabbed out of our hands in a surly manner. There were also problems with the drains (not the fault of the staff) Perhaps they were short staffed, and worn out by the end of August holidays. The accommodation was fine, just worried about the staff - seems something might be awry with the management.
The location is great with easy access to public transportation. The staff are friendly and responsive. The common area is good for kids and for relaxation. Breakfast is simple and okay. The room is clean. We had the family room at the top floor which is very spacious - that can take 2 double beds, 1 single bed and 1 baby cot, and still has room.
I stayed with my husband and 3-years old daughter in one room for two nights. The hotel was crowded and it was hard to get information at the front desk. The surroundings is uninteresting, but it's in a walking distance of t Old Tours.
I stayed in the hotel during a business trip. Well located next to tram and bus stations, garage available. Nicely priced restaurant in-house. Room was very clean. Just made my stay relaxing and enjoyable.
Immediately situated at the tramway and bus station,so in the city center in no time. Rooms are not that big but ok. Hotel has been changed recently into an Ibis Styles, but you can still notice the older hotel details.
A very good stylish hotel in the middle of Tours. The car parking is fine once you have managed to get through the narrow entrance. Room 328 was ok but it had no window handle (missing) which meant that we couldn't shut the window completely and from midnight till 3am, we had noise from the local bar/tabac with north african music and shouting from the street.
Pleasant reception staff, very helpful as we booked trip to chateaux of the Loire. Room comfortable with good use of space, and spacious bathroom, with super shower. Pleased with efficient aircon. An easy 20 minute walk into the city centre. We would have appreciated more signage to find hotel. Good value for money.
we booked quite late, a few weeks before, on a busy summer weekend. We loved Tours - great pedestrianized shopping area, narrow streets in the Old Quarter full of lively restaurants and cafes, and of course the Loire, it was about a 20-25 minute walk to the old quarter, and we would try to be nearer next time. The receptionist did not smile at check in, even though we spoke in French, she looked like she was very unhappy.
Hotel was clean and tidy and family room was large with comfortable double bed and two put up beds for the kids which were absolutely fine. Large, clean, modern bathroom. Dinner was OK in the restaurant and so was breakfast but on our second stay on our return journey we ventured out and value and quality was better. Hotel is quite far from the Loire river and the main centre but we walked there and it was about 20 mins or so but that was OK for our kids. Booked early and got family room for 100 euros.
Nice family room for 4 persons with airco, flatscreen, view on the city center, based on 7th (highest) floor. Good breakfast buffet. Secure parking for 8 eur/night. At 20min walking from town hall and old city center.
Hotel & Location : is in the central of Tours but without car life seems no pleasant due to nothing around there to see or eat Check-in/out : our room was allocated even we (Accor Platinum) arrived around 10.00 am/ Check-out was not take long time with accuracy for the bill Food : - Breakfast is included, basic choices with fair quality - Dinner (Set menu & a la carte) was reasonable price, fair choices and tasty Restaurant : Nice design, Clean but concrete floor made lots of noises when people drag chair in/out Service : Staffs are attentive and friendly (especially a black man at restaurant who could not communicated english properly but very helpfull and effort to serve) Room (Standard with sofa) : very basic amenities, nice design, bigger size than usual ibis, clean and bed is very comfortable but it was terrible if you have got first floor room (above restaurant zone) Internet : In-room internet is included in room rate, connection was easy access with proper speed
