Manager Park is always available and front desk staffs are great led by Ashley Park. Love location with so many good places for snack, foods and cafe! Recommend to anyone stays Nothern Seoul! Easy to move around with near by subways.
Best service, Best price Minimal difficult for access the main subway (near Orange & Purple line) (far from blue and green) Hot bath is very interested point in this hotel In this time i have only one thing not impressive (my room have many stuff of the old guest
I stayed at the hotel 10 nights. It was the first time I stayed at the hotel. PROS (1) I arrived at the hotel around 11 pm. Arriving at the hotel, I felt at home, thanks to Mr David Lee, Reception Manager's hospitality. He is excellent - in terms of efficiency, successfully building positive images towards the hotel, information - how to get meeting venues + the workable solution for any issues, while staying at the hotel. He was extremely helpful. I would like to express my deep appreciation to the hotel management for excellent staff training. (2) Hotel Location: 5 minutes on foot from exit 4, 5 or 6 of subway Line (1, 3 and 5 Jong-ro 3 ga subway station) / 5 - 7 minutes on foot from Anguk subway station (Line number 3) (3) Free shuttle bus - 6 times a day (9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 30 pm, 2 30 pm and 4 pm - Sending only) "Why sending only?" It was understandable. The traffic condition of Seoul is unpredictable. I used 3 times the shuttle bus services - Myung dong, Anguk station, and Seoul Station. The Shuttle Bus route comprises Chandeok Palace - Myungeong - Namdaemoon Market - Seoul Station. (4) Free Hot Bath - Lower Ground floor) towels, toner and lotion. (5) Wifi - free, fast and stable. Very convenient for work with computers + smart phones (6) Shower - not big, but clean + water pressure strong (7) Cleaners - doing good jobs. (8) Breakfast - variety of selection, good price (less than USD 10, KRW 10,000 - hotel guest price, 10% discount applied) (9) Lobby restaurant opens only breakfast/ lunch. Dinner - Only Buffet at Roof Top (10) Convenience Store is located just next door. (11) Hotel rooms - facial tissue (12) Free Fitness Centre (13) Ice machine - Top floor (14) Coin Washing Machine, Iron board/ Iron (15) The hotel is surrounded by interesting areas - 3 minutes on foot to Insadong, 4 minutes on foot to Changdeok Palace etc. (16) Guests can open the window - hotel rooms. The hotel is located in near mountain and the air condition is good. Cons (1) Hotel Room Size - small but big enough (2) not providing free toothbrush/ toothpaste/ shampoo+rinse Guest can buy a toothbrush/ paste + shampoo/ rinse at the reception (KRW 1,000 each) Hotel rooms - only small soap/ shower gel/ enough number of towels (3) No free water
This is still my choice of stay for its location. Its my 3rd time stay at this hotel and I think they should consider the following - 1) they should provide toothbrush and bath soap and 2) they should consider decreasing their aircond temperature from 26 degrees to 22 degrees as the room is humid and stuffy when you step into the room after coming back from a hot outing day (it was hot sunny day at 26 degrees when we were there) and 3) It is an international hotel in Korea, you need to provide computer facilities with choice of travellers language. I was trying to check on my travel itineraries using the hotel desktop and it was all in Korean language.....how can anyone can do anything there? Other than these, it is a great hotel to stay.
I stayed in IBIS Ambassador Insadong for 4 days. When I first entered the room, it smelled of damp. It was ok once I turned on AC and room temperature went low though. IBIS Insadong doesn't provide amenity to protect environment. I didn't know it before I checked in. Considering the price, the room is spacious and clean. The place is very convenient to go to major palaces, other travelers' spots in the center of Seoul.
Good central location with many interesting places within walking distance. Front desk staff took time to explain how to get to parts of the city and readily helped with all kinds of information. Rooms are standard IBIS format as expected, a bit small but just about do the job. Breakfast a bit disappointing as it's not particularly cheap and there is virtually no fruit on offer, which is surprising given that ACCOR Hotels is an international chain.
Very helpful staff, specially Vivian! Perfect location, to explore the old and modern Seoul. Beautiful view, modern WC with bidet! Boiler with different teas, A/C, international TV Channels, market in front, souvenirs shops close.
Hotel rooms though small are clean and organized with lots of sockets for gadget/phone charging Personnel from fromt desk to house keeping are courteous and helpful. They are willing to help from packing, to getting a taxi, helpful in helping with directions, etc. Special mention to Joan Jeong and Chris for their exceptional customer service.
Thank you so much for the early check in, we treasure it the most after the midnight flight to Seoul. The concierge staffs were polite and prompt. The size of the family room is decent for 3 persons. Complimentary drink vouchers were given cause it's my birthday during check in, however it would be a nice gesture if we don't have to email and ask for it. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Ibis Insadong.
I checked in at Ibis - Insadong on a Friday night and was expecting the hotel lobby to be packed with our customers. There were only a handful of other people checking in, and the staff at the front desk were able to check me in with ease. I was afraid there would be a language barrier because I only speak English, but they were easy to communicate with and got me to my room quickly. I returned to ask the front desk for suggestions on where to eat and ended up talking with a woman named Rachel. She was very professional and gave me a handful of suggestions right down the street. Overall I had a great experience at Ibis, and would return if ever in Seoul again.
It's a short walk from Anguk Bus Station where we got off from our bus ride from Incheon Airport. The hotel is clean, 'tho our room is quite small as we have triple sharing bed, with hot water but no more bathroom amenities like toothbrush, shower cap, etc We have coffee and tea which are replenished everyday. The front desk staff is friendly and courteous, especially Vivian :)
I brought my friend from Philippine & its the first time for him came to Korea. Ibis Insadong one of the best Accor hotel network in Seoul where give him good impression cause close to these hotel got Insadong market where offer Korea culture, original Korea food with Korean traditional style home. Its also these hotel close to subway station, Anguk Station, & its easy for us to going around Seoul. Its good to know that Ibis Insadong will be in y priority list if willing to know Korea closer.
I stayed for 3 nights in Ibis Insadong with my wife and we had such a good stay with Ibis. First is about it's good location, It is located near the subway station, just 3-5 minutes walk to Jong-no 3 ga subway station, with the subway ride for 2-3 stations we can reach several tourist spot such as Myeong Dong, Gong Byeok Gung Palace, Dong Dae Mun, etc. And with 10 minutes walking we can reach the Insadong road where you can find some unique souvenirs for our family and friends. Second is about their rooftop garden which is very beautiful at night with the all lightning and also you can see Seoul in light from the rooftop. Third is about the friendly staff that always ready to help if we have any question. Lastly they also sells good umbrella in case you don't bring any umbrella with you and with a cheap price also, KRW 5k for the small one and KRW 10k for the big one. I think it also can become a good souvenir (LOL). I bought the big one when the snow was pouring down in Seoul but then i lost it in my flight back, so shame.
Everyone at the hotel was very helpful, keeping our luggage when we checked out for a weekend trip. The room is small but so nicely designed that we did not feel cramped. We love the convenience to Insadong and the subway. The neighborhood is quaint and rapidly changing with lovely restaurants and tea rooms.
ibis Ambassador Seoul Insadong is an unexpected find, a hidden gem in Seoul. It's walking distance to the shopping district of Insa-dong and has amenities such as the money changer and 24-hour convenience store across the hotel that were unexpected delights. Nice and courteous staff, comfy beds and awesome pillows. A value for money hotel. We had a great stay.
Do not visit South Korea between November and April as all hotel rooms i the country are over heated. Accor group hotels are always extremely hot and heated to close to 30 degrees. If you do stay in the Ibis Insadong you will struggle to sleep even with the window open on a cold night. If you do need to travel to Korea I would recommend the Best Western Incheon as it has individual AC units so you can run the AC to overcome the excessive hotel heating. Further there was confusion over the booking and the staff had great difficulty determining who was actually a registered guest in the hotel. Due to the excessive heat I got less than 2 hours sleep so I would certainly advise against staying at Accor hotels until they address the overheating issue. A simple 5 degree adjustment down to 20 or 21 degrees would mean an enormous energy saving and a pleasant stay for all guests. There is nothing wrong in having to wear a light pullover in your hotel room in the winter.
Ibis Ambassador Seoul Insadong is within walking distance of the traditional Insadong street and several palaces and shopping areas. It's easy to get to via Airport Bus. The rooms were small, but very clean and cheerful. The staff at reception and the bar spoke excellent English and had a genuine desire to help.
Comfortable and quiet . Which is what you need after a long flight. Staff helpful. Most understood English. Best location for most attractions. Can walk everywhere. From Palaces to Shrines to shopping and food. Perhaps a bigger room for 3 people.
My 2nd time stay at this hotel and I still love it.....would stay again if I do drop by Seoul again!!!!. To cut it short, I have a compliment and 2 suggestions for the management to take note. 1st the good news, my special thanks to Seo Ji Won for making my 7 family members stay a comfortable one by allowing one room changes. Also, a tribute to the front desk staffs (Rachel, Elin, Ashley & rest of them I did not catch their names) for their helpful travel site infos and weather forecasts. Lastly, also a special tribute to the friendly shuttle bus driver.....always serving with a friendly smile!!! Now for the 2 suggestions, which I see as the part of the final touches to make things more perfect. 1) on hotel's buffet breakfast - it needs to improve by changing the spread varieties on alternate days so that long staying guest like us who pre-paid for the breakfast everyday would not get bored eating the same thing for 6 days. Your breakfast time should be a bit flexible when you have high occupancy rate cos if we come down early btwn 7-9 am, your restaurant is full with tour groups. Then we have to wait like 20-30 minutes for empty tables, leaving us about 30 minutes to enjoy our breakfast when we had made pre-paid bookings. Depending on situations like this, please allow at least a 15-20 minutes extension of breakfast time to 10.15-10.30am for us instead of rushing us to finish our meal within 30 minutes which I think is unfair or refund us if this cannot be done so we can find alternate breakfast solution. Alternatively, allow us to pre-book our table at certain time. 2) for Accor members - like any other Accor hotels I had visited including Busan City Center, there is a corner for members to relax and enjoy with a coffee machine serving coffees, cappuccinos, latte or expresso (beside the welcome drinks). Maybe the Hotel can arrange for something similar for Accor members. On overall basis, this is a fantastic hotel and a nice place to stay with great views on part of Seoul city. My appreciation and thanks to all the staffs for making our family stay an enjoyable and memorable stay. Cheers!!!!
The hotel is conveniently located near many places of interest, shops, restaurants and metro Its staff members are friendly, helpful, courteous and efficient. The twin bedroom we stayed has view over some hanoks and the N Seoul Tower. It was spacious, clean and well equipped.
