We were very pleased with this hotel especially the great service that was provided. The room is cosy and clean. As one of the light in the washroom was not working when we checked in on the first day, the hotel staff immediately arranged another room for us. The breakfast was great too! The location is perfect as it is 5 mins walk away from the train station.
Excellent, welcoming staff made checking-in easy and hassle free. The room was clean and well presented and had everything we needed. The room's air-con worked well too, since it was fairly warm in there when we first arrived. Er Indoors was particularly happy with the breakfast, which had a fair variety to choose from and the cooked options were better than usual, being poached eggs and clean sausages and bacon, not swimming in grease and all for £10. Good hotel, will use again if we're up there for the night.
London is not cheap so this ibis despite above average in terms of price versus other ibis in the world, it is priced accordingly for London. Location is great when u need to in the city as direct to Canary Wharf and Waterloo is near by by walk. Room would gain a lot if a fridge was included. But clean. And sleeping is above average . Would have appreciated to get to a high floor which was not offered despite gold status.
We required somewhere close to stay to the Trafalgar Reception Centre after our tour. we ended up walking to the hotel from the Reception Centre which took about 10 mins. The receptionist was very welcome and checked us in via a cell phone. the room was typical Ibis and had a good amount of room. The bed was comfortable and the morning breakfast adequate. The hotel was a short walk away from the Underground and also many restaurants.
Mum and daughter off to see Mama Mia and we have stayed there before and it didn’t disappoint this time. The greeting is good, the bedroom clean and fresh, shower room perfect and the breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended.
I have stayed here several times before and always enjoy the friendly staff, nice ambience and great transport connections. If you do sleep light suggest you don't get room at rear of hotel as constant air handling equipment noise may keep you awake.
This is the 3rd time that I stayed in the same hotel in London. The location is amazing, with a lot of restaurants, supermarkets, pubs. There are a tube station in the same square and Waterloo is so close, as London Eye and Big Ben.
There was plenty of hot water....and the room was very clean. Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable (try Premier Inns beds) the towels small and thin and the bathroom (pre-fabricated plastic unit that fitted into the corner of the room) was noisey wether taking a shower or trying to flush the loo.
Great Ibis Hotel in the Southbank of London. Very clean and comfortable with great friendly and helpful staff. Great location to see everything in London. 50m fron Southwark subway, 10 min walk to the London Eye and many restaurants on the Thames River. 20 min walk to Westminster and many other popular locations. Loved it and highly recommend.
My stay was quite good.there is Nothing to complain. - good location - good service - good breakfast -15 mins walking from london eye Room was Slighty small,as i might be feeling this because we were with a baby.
Fantastic location next to Southwark underground station and less than 10 minutes walk to Southbank. Spotlessly clean hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Lobby and restaurant/bar are relaxing and comfortable. Room was very cool despite the really hot weather. I highly recommend this hotel . Will be seeing you again very soon. 👍👍👍
This is a very well located hotel. Minutes from the Tube and Buses. Few minutes walk to the River Thames, and not very far to walk to Covent Garden. The room was well appointed, shower room more than adequate although the shower fitment needed some adjustment. Tea and coffee in room. Breakfast was excellent.
Anyone who has travelled to London before knows this city is a minefield of rubbish hotels. The ibis provides a standard of quality that is assured whether you are in Geneva, Hamburg or London and for this reason I have to give it 5 stars. The room was spacious, spotless, well located, properly priced and quiet.
The location is great and staff are nice and helpful. However , the design of toilet is not good, it is very noisy when shut down the toilet door. You can hear others close their toilet door in other room no matter in the midnight or early morning.
I was disappointed with the service. In the room there was the hotel book saying that the breakfast was served starting at 4am with hot beverages, juice and pantries. I and my wife came down at 4am and there was no service working. I talk with the lobby attendant and she said that it was not Ibis responsability. It was clearly a disappointement. I payed for the breakfast when I book the room and I did not received the service. I had to take my breakfast with my wife in the airport. Ibis has the 15 minute policy and it failed hugely.
This is an excellent hotel with easy travel to and from all airport destinations. The underground is only 100 meters from the hotel and a 10 minute(slow walk) to the Thames and all the attractions surrounding. Highly recommend this establishment and staff were super throughout!
helpful and friendly staff able to help at all times great breakfast, plenty of choice good value stay near the centre of london really convenient location for restaurants, theatre, and pubs rooms clean and comfy bed
Though the hotel has an amazing location, one block away from Southwark tube station. The promo i bought about a room with a view to the city does not look at all like the pics. Yes u got a view and even a glimpse to the London Eye, but not at all what they sell on the web. You better just book a regular room, cuz it is a nice hotel of his own, Ibis standar, great breakfast and an amazing location to move around London.
Located on South bank, London. Close to Southwark underground station. Underground will take you anywhere around London. Get an Oyster card when you get there. Available from all stations. Walking distance to the London Eye, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's theatre, The Shard, Shrek, London Dungeon, Westminster Bridge and other attractions. Breakfast options - choose on the day - on the run or in the restaurant.
Good hotel location, friendly service, extremely satisfied. Near tube station, great value for money, close to tourist attractions. Fast check in and check out. I will recommend the hotel to friends and family
