Room was OK for our 5 hour stop over:) quiet, small but self contained :) Unfortuantely we choice to get a shuttle bus for our return flight ,it was 25 minutes late and we missed our flight . VERY disappointed as the bus right behind it actually beat us to the airport
I stayed there only one night. Girls at the reception are very nice, room clean, bed very comfort. Good bus conection with both terminals. Close to shopping and eating. I enjoyed stay after long day and before long flight. I can full recommned. Thank you :)
I was only spending the night as I had a 6:30 AM flight. I was awoken by some noisy guess in the hallway at 11:30 PM. I peaked out to glare at them and they saw me. The noise continued for another half hour. This time I went out to tell them that they needed to be quiet. I noted the room numbers. When I checked out at 4:30AM, I told the desk clerk about the noise. She went on to explain why those guest were moved to the floor. Someone in their party had an accident. They had to change rooms. The desk clerk did nothing to rectify my issue. I paid for a night syay and got very little sleep.
A very convenient location, just 10 min walk away from Auckland Airport and there is a big Countdown just behind the hotel. The staff is super friendly and the room is very clean. Hotel staff even allowed us to move the airport trolley to our room to transfer the luggage.
The rooms are compact however the service, facilities and cleanliness were all good. Would recommend to travellers who just need a sleepover when passing thru or flying out on their next great adventure.
Great location with an easy walk to both domestic and international airports. Clean, well furnished rooms that are ideal for an overnite stopover when traveling onward. Fantastic value compared with anything else close to the airport, as teh name suggests it is budget so don't expect the frills of the larger chains but everything that is needed for a restful night is there.
For one night stay, we were happy with our room, the price and the staff. Would happily stay there again. The staff were even helpful with letting me use there phone when I couldn’t get mine to work and they were pleasant along with the quality of work from the house keepers. Fantastic!
Lovely staff that let us check out late and leave our bags free of charge. Rooms large and clean. Will definitely be staying here again. Walking distance to domestic and international terminals. Has a bus service also.
The name of the hotel says it all. Budget implies you are getting basic quality at a bargain price. At $159 this was a grossly overpriced backpackers without any of the charm. Cleanliness was an issue as I found rubbish beside and under my bed. The place was full so I didn't ask to move. Tossed and turned all night and had noisy neighbours.
Last weekend e spent a night at the Ibis. The rooms were clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. The service we received from Pamela, Scott and Rachel at the front desk was fantastic. Great service and very helpful with suggestions.
We did not end up staying the night at this motel due to our flights been cancelled from rarotonga to auckland. We were un-able to contact them because the phone services and internet was not working in rarotonga due to the fire they had which damaged there phone tower.
The tiniest room we have ever stayed in. Clean, functional, very compact. Not any room for bags. We were travelling from the Cook Islands to Australia and needed to overnight in Auckland, close to the airport. We stayed at the Novotel on our way out and that was really lovely and convenient, but they did not have any rooms available for us on the way back, so this was the next hotel close to the airport. We were very disappointed in the size of the rooms. It is a very basic hotel, but probably fit for purpose.
The Ibis Budget Hotel is a decent place to spend the night when passing through AKL. The rooms are small as one might expect but clean and quiet. The best feature of the hotel is its close proximity to the airport (accessible by the Yellow Bus) and the fact that you have a Countdown Supermarket, a KFC, a Carl's Jr. and several other fast food places within walking distance. Two points to be aware of: 1) when I checked into the hotel, I was told that I would not earn Accor hotel points for my stay because the person behind the desk said they are not awarded at Ibis Budget hotels. The logic of this dumbfounds me since that is one of the primary reasons I stay at Ibis is to accrue points. 2) In order to use the Yellow Bus to get to and from the airport, you must buy a ticket from a little kiosk. It costs 6.50 NZD when coming from the airport and 5.50 NZD when going from the hotel to the airport. Other airport hotels pay for this for their guests but Ibis Budget does not. Just something to be aware of.
Everything needed for a 1 night stay. Room was clean, spacious, hassle free check-in. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if I had an early morning flight and also recommend to others.
We stayed at Ibis Budget Auckland Airport Hotel for a night before we flew out to Australia. Very comfortable and clean room. Friendly staff. Fantastic meal at the restaurant next door. Would stay again.
This hotel is so perfect when you need a good night sleep before an early flight. The restaurant next door is also fantastic! Walking distance to warehouse and supermarket for any last minute shopping. This is my fourth stay and still happy with price and experience.
Was impressed with what you get for what you pay. Great service and considering the price it was a really decent room. Staff were really lovely and the room was nice and comfortable (small, yes, but to be expected). Nice amenities and service. A couple of small cosmetic maintenance flaws, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Room was perfect for a quick stop over before flying home. Close to the airport but very quiet and shuttle bus picks you up from right outside, rooms were very clean and loved the black out curtains was able to have a afternoon nap after flying in
Excellent, efficient service from this value hotel close to airport. Room small but clean. Bus transfers also available and running frequently which was a bonus to catch the early flight next day and able to leave luggage there for the day.
The room was good and having a jug in there now is great. I hardly slept as the sheets are noisy when moving and a truck or some machinery sounded like outside my window was going in the early hours of the morning for ages.
