Stayed with my wife for one week, check-in was good with very friendly staff. Asked for a room to the back of the hotel to have less noise, we have got the last room of the corridor. Room was clean as also bed sheets and shower towels, which is a characteristic from the Ibis brand; clean and presentable room. Hotel breakfast with a good selection: 3 types of cereal, yougurt, 5 types of bread, cheese, ham, fruits, cofee, hot chocolate and 2 types of juice. But I think the fair price for the hotel breakfast should be 6 euros (instead of 7.5 euros). Hotel facilities were good, the room was new and furniture was ok. The mattress was a bit too soft, it should be an semi-orthopedic one; not too soft and not too hard. One cons was the size of the room at Ibis Ruisbroek, I found it smaller than the other Ibis Budget brands that I have stayed at (Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, Barueri, Lisboa, Amsterdam). Ruisbroek train station is within 5 min. walking distance, from there you get the train to almost anywhere. There is also bus service to Brussel-Zuid. Even adding the transport fare into account, you will spend less at Ibis Ruisbroek for sure. Nearby facilities: there is a gas station (good breakfast for 4 euros) and a carrefour express (small grocery store, breakfast for 3 euros) one block away from the hotel that can provide some good refreshments. On Ruisbroek square there is an Italian restaurant which has a good pizza and pasta, there is a wednesday and thursday sale with any pizza for 5 euros, don't miss it! It's a very calm neighbourhood at Ruisbroek where shops close early and life follows the local schedule. We enjoyed a lot our stay at Ibis Ruisbroek. Highly recommended, will surelly come back when returning to Brussels.
