In Hong Kong I always stay at Ibis Sheung Wan. Great location. Near supermarket and subway. Hotel well maintained and staff very helpful and friendly. Cannot fault it. There is a free shuttle to the hotel from Central Station too. Runs every 20 minutes. Makes it so easy to take the Airport Express.
as usual the staff was courteous and helpful, hotel super clean, staff knows the area, gave great tips on how to move around, the Starbucks on the property was great, shuttle service to Hong Kong station, this is my destination every time i'm in HK
Overall, the hotel ticks many boxes. Number one is the location. Super easy to catch the tram to Central and, whilst it's a bit of a trek underground, the train is close enough. Starbucks was a godsend (situated in the foyer) as the hotel breakfast fell well short of being a good start to the day or good value for money. As for the room, it was plenty big enough for 1 and would be comfortable enough for 2. The mattress was the only downfall. It was like sleeping on a concrete floor, though, I asked for a mattress topper and it did make it marginally better. Check-in was super quick and easy. Was expecting a city view room, but ended up with a nice view of the harbour. Stayed 7 nights in total. Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Having stayed at this hotel on multiple times it has provided the requirements. Housekeeping still friendly and greets. Some room products not working from ware and tear. Check in was a little slow but smooth and very accommodating. Great to see the priority desk working well now.
Stayed here a total of 20 days with a week gap. They let us store luggage while we were away. Rooms not overly large, but adequate. Location equidistant between two MRT (subway) stops. Many dining opportunities nearby.
Staff were friendly and professional, online check-in worked flawlessly, rooms were clean and serviceable and noise levels were low meaning a good nights sleep - for the price point and location, I was well satisfied...
The room is decent and clean. We love the quality that IBIS promise and it is value for money. We will recommend our friends to this hotel. For our 9 days stay, the service provided by IBIS has been diligent and welcoming.
Highly recommend this hotel due to location, easy access to transportation that takes you throughout the city and very helpful and great staff. Great harbor view if you are able to book a higher floor and a 5 minute walk to the macau ferry terminal.
Everything efficiently delivered by the Ibis team. In the days of expensively located and designed luxury hotels, this Ibis offers everything you need for a central HK location. And it is excellent value. One small complaint. The buffet breakfast which closes at 1000, was already in close down mode at 0930. Limited choices which were not refilled and what there was, was tepid at best in the hot food dept. Only a couple of yogurts left. This needs addressing. But plenty of other places to get breakfast nearby. Lesson, get to breakfast early. Otherwise excellent stay. Hotel staff always welcoming and very helpful with general HK advice.
Good location, efficient staff, clean enough room are the good characters of this ibis. This time, I tried their breakfast for the first time. It was disappointing for all four days of my stay. Hong Kong is famous for its culinary excellence, but ibis breakfast tarnished this image.
Like the hotel as its location is good, surrounding has shops and restaurants. Ding ding bus is just right in front of hotel . MTR is bit far we need to walk 5-8 mins. The hotel is clean and comfortable. we enjoyed our stay here. Pls note airport bus A11 can reach this hotel, but we missed the alighting stop and end up alighted at Central MTR. Is better you ask A11 driver for bus stop.
Stayed at Ibis Sheung Wan and Central for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Room was spacious (notwithstanding an extra bed) with ample room for 3 adults to walk around. Room was clean and tidy, and staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was good and staff were quick to refill dishes when they ran out. Good service all around. Would definitely stay there again if I were to visit Hong Kong again.
We recently stayed for 6 nights and had a fabulous stay here. We chose it based on its good value and the fact it had slightly larger rooms than others in a similar price bracket and we are very glad we did - just about had room for our cases etc. We were also pleasantly surprised to have a great view of the peak! The staff were very helpful and it was only a few minutes walk to the tram stops and MTR. Would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel in a central location with up to date modern and clean rooms provided a great 3 day Hong Kong venue. Thanks to the professional staff I enjoyed a memorable experience in this top of the world city of sky scrapers, bustling streets and bountiful commerce.
The hotel is located quite near the Sheung Wan MTR station (exit C). There is also the station stop for tram very close to the hotel, just 1-minute walk. There is free shuttle bus service between Hong Kong station and this hotel. There are many restaurants and convenient stores located near the hotel. Starbucks is on the first floor of hotel building. The price of accommodation is reasonable and not expensive. Breakfast has various types of menu to choose. Overall is very good.
Great location. Close to subway station and many restaurants. Buffet breakfast is very good. Bed and pillow are very uncomfortable. Room is small. Service is very good. If anything is not wirking in your room it will be fixed within 15 minutes. Overall value fits a 3-Star hotel.
This hotel was poorly located, the rooms were painfully small, the service was poor all around (including the front desk and breakfast room), and the staff was not helpful at all. For example, when we needed to obtain a taxi that was large enough for four adults and our bags, it was near impossible to get the front desk people to understand what we needed and then find a suitable taxi. I understand that my inability to speak languages other than English was a limitation, but the staff made no effort to help. I would avoid this place at all cost.
Clean, comfortable room in a hotel with a location handy for our needs. Unusual hotel layout in that Reception was on the 5th Floor. Excellent buffet breakfast. Staff at Reception were very polite, ready to assist. Would definitely use again.
Firstly we were welcomed by a really friendly staff at the check in counter, I couldn’t remember her name (a girl with specs and hair tied up) but she was really helpful and attentive to my requests with smiley faces. There is Starbucks at ground floor and we didn’t have time to grab a cup of coffee there but we did tried on the delicious dim sum nearby at Lin Heung Kui restaurant. As for the room, I requested for cleaning after the first night and the floor was still in unsatisfactory condition after. Requested for baby cot, concierge service and all were fulfilled. Overall we had a reasonable budget stay especially at this district in Hong Kong.
Located centrally with Skybus shuttle stopover across the road. Rooms reasonable size and very clean. STAFF very attentive. Breakfast OK. Access to ferries and shopping malls very easy. Have decided to stay again.
