The hotel is only minutes of walk away from the Sagrada Familia train station. As the station name suggests, it is also about 5 minutes walk from Sagrada Familia. The facility is clean and staff are friendly. It was a very pleasant stay.

This hotel was in a really good location, within walking distance to most Barcelona landmarks. The hotel room was so quiet it seemed there were no other guests. I was provided with a kettle on request. The room was spotless. The staff were very helpful, but they need to have some of the official tourist maps that are easy to read. The breakfast was reasonable and varied, although there were no hot selections, but it seemed that every table in the breakfast area was wobbly.

I spent a week at the hotel... Room was exactly as expected.. Clean, comfortable, very efficient use of space... staff very courteous professional and friendly... Location very good, near tube and buses... Would return always...

Clean rooms, Efficient & Polite Staff Near the center with the Sagrada Famillia just round the corner. The facilities were very good. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for a stay in Barcelona.

The service was extremely adequate and the service people very kind, the location in Barcelona could not be better with easy access to all places of interest. The food in the hotel leaves something to be desired. But I would certainly refer the hotel to other people

marvelous location - central very friendly amenable staff - very customer focused - recommended good restaurants locally and advised on visiting attractions rooms very clean and adequate Overall - superb package on the basis of this hotel just booked a stay at the Ibis Madrid Centro

All-around great experience for this Ibis...perhaps the best organized I have been to....staff always on the ball and eager to help. Great location for Sagrada Familia and plenty of food and drink nearby without having to go to Las Ramblas!

I've stayed at Ibis hotels many times in Europe. I have always found them to be very consistent from place to place. They are not fancy, but always clean, offer a good breakfast, and the staff always friendly and helpful.

IBIS Barcelona Centro is just a couple of minutes walk from the iconic attraction of Barcelona - Sagrada Familia. It is just mins walk from Sagrada Familia and Verdeguer Metro stations. Bus stop for bus number 50 is right outside the hotel which goes right into Pl. Espanya. The hotel is very well maintained, supported by lovely staffs. The breakfast is awesome. I recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Barcelona.

Needed a comfortable place to stay after a long cycling trip.staff friendly but professional with a good grasp of English. We're happy to store bike in garage without charge. Good quality breakfast. With Ibis you are rarely disappointed

Beautiful property, it's not brand new, but you would never know, as they keep this property clean, welcoming and warm. It's a great neighborhood to be at, and if it's your first time in Barcelona, stay here, very easy to get around and see what you want to see when you visit this cosmopolitan city!

This is my second stay in Ibis Sagrada Valencia. Its location is perfect because it's near Sgrada familia and very close to the metro. The staff is very friendly and very efficient. The rooms are clean and the breakfast wondeful. It's near to one of the famous turistic attraction Sagrada Familia Cathedral and it's possible to walk to the ramblas and most of the turistic attraction of Barcelona. There are many restaurants and cafes near the hotel too.

The hotel is really close to Sagrada Familia (which is so beautiful) and there's a metro station nearby (went to Barcelona for Primavera Sound, so, to me, this detail was very important). Ibis standard room, quick check-in and check-out. Silent and well located. Several restaurants around.

The location of the hotel is few steps from Sagrada Familia where there is a bus stop for hop on hop off tours. The room was spacious. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is not far from city center.

One tip: do NOT go to this hotel if you are sensitive to scents! They use a VERY strong, 'air freshener' in the corridors and it also gets into the rooms. Not the nice subtle background scent you get eg in Premier Inns, but a harsh chemical citrus that gets into your nose and throat and actually stings. Vile. If it weren't for that it's actually a very nice basic hotel, extremely well-placed for Sagrada Familia - about 5 mins walk away - and we could actually see the top of the towers from our room on the fifth floor. Lovely to wake up to! We didn't bother with the breakfasts as there are many coffee/bakery shops around the basilica, or you can get cooked b'fasts in several places. But, a real downer is not having a room safe. This is Barcelona!!! I would happily have paid more to have a safe (especially since we were robbed of 100€ & driving license on the metro - which we wouldn't have been carrying if we had a safe). Staff were pleasant and helpful, rooms were simple but very comfortable, nice roomy shower, towels a bit thin but we found them adequate, very good soundproofing, air con not noisy either, windows opened 6 inches if you wanted fresh air. If you start craving Irish/British food, we recommend the Michael Collins Irish pub a block away.

We stayed here for 5 nights last week and are full of praise . Our room overlooked a side street in a residential area so it was interesting to see life outside when we were around. The room was comfortable and always clean. Breakfast was more than adequate and good value. We liked the fact that the corridors were light and airy built around a central courtyard. The location excellent just one block away from the park in front of the Sagrada Familia. Taxis, buses, metro all.nearby. Lots of coffee shops close by. We liked exploring the area in the evening when we got back from sight- seeing, after the coach loads of tourists had gone away and the locals were out dog walking in the park- a real neighbourhood feel. The staff team were amazingly helpful and friendly- thank you!

very good location, close to underground station. Very good standard of accommodation, nice team in the hotel. Good breakfast. We have been satisfied in this hotel, so we have enjoyed our stay in this nice city.

Loved that our room was supper quiet and clean. Wished there was a fridge and a safe. I'm not a fan of charging for breakfast so I avoided that and the city map wasn't great, but overall it was a good stay and the staff was very helpful!

We stayed at this Ibis for 5 nights and whilst there are some good points there are a few where the management need to turn their attention to. Having booked 2 rooms some time ago we specified a high floor and a quiet room, on arrival we were advised that one room was on the 6th floor and the other on the 4th – no problem, unfortunately the room on the 4th floor was next to the lift, on complaining we were transferred to a room on the 6th floor well away from the lift. The rooms are typically Ibis, but the quality of the towels provided – only one towel each, was extremely poor and one was so thin it actually shredded when drying oneself. Whilst we are aware that other Ibis hotels do not provide an in room safe we would have thought that as this hotel is tourist orientated one should have been provided. The security system in the lift (which other Ibis hotels have by swiping your card to enable the lift, thus providing some security to the floors) has been out of operation for 2 years. The strangest thing was the notice which appeared on the lift advising customers the following:- Due to the intermittent change of temperature during these days, the hotels air conditioning system is disconnected. So neither the heating or the air conditioning is activated. At this moment the air that circulates is natural air from the street.. Therefore, we recommend to disconnect the air conditioning in case of feeling cold, and keep it off. We apologize for this inconvenience. As the outside temperature was pretty cold it was not long before the room were feeling slightly chilly, apparently the turning off of the air-conditioning/heating is a common practice, according to the receptionist we spoke to. No reduction in tariff was offered. One other point to mention on the floors is that there is a automatic air freshener dispenser by the lift, this we found to be over powering and actually made its way into our room. The cleaning of the rooms were carried out promptly and overall was very good apart from the floor in the bathroom which had long dark hairs on the floor which remained there for our complete stay, however the bedroom and the bathroom apart from that were very clean. The breakfast which was offered was of good quality, however the tables are very small and certainly cannot take four trays. The clearing of trays from empty tables was very slow and when we asked a waitress to wipe our table she did so with a soaking wet sponge leaving us to dry it off with some paper serviettes. The coffee mugs which are kept on a tray in the far corner, right off the coffee machine had dirty corners and the base of the tray had expanded due to the wetness of the cups. ( this was pointed out on our second day but remained the same on the day of departure). The breakfast trays were always wet so you had to wipe them down with a paper serviette to dry them. One of the main advantages of this Ibis is that is close to the Sagrada Familia, however on reflection we feel that there are better choices available for 120 Euros per night, also close to a Metro station and the hop on hop off bus routes. Given the choice we would not book this Ibis again.

The hotel is so close to Sagrada that I was soaking in Gaudi's work day and night! I was even able to witness the evening light show of the Passion ! I was walking back to the hotel when I noticed the light display in Sagrada and apparently it was an unannounced lighting show to highlight the passion of Christ.
