Excellent accommodation for a budget hotel.Friendly staff and comfortable rooms with basic fixtures,Location is convenient being opposite the new aquarium. Restaurant dinner menu is limited ,mains and sweets are good but the sides need improvement.
Well......for a 3 star, very impressed. I usually stay in other hotels, bug wanted to see how big the Ibis family room is. Great price, 2 bedrooms, 2 tvs, kitchenette, with microwave, just great. I was extremely impressed with the staff, they have really got it right here, they are happy to help, extremely customer focussed. Well done one happy customer!
We stay here regularly for the simple reason that it is great value for money, the staff are all so very friendly and helpful and it couldn't be better situated; just a short walk to the city centre or the Cairns Central shopping mall and an even shorter walk to the esplanade. We usually stay in one of the executive rooms which are a bit more expensive but are also bigger rooms.
Look this hotel is ok if you're there for a short vision a budget (its not cheap cheap) . Staff are as usual for Ibis very caring and friendly. The Rooms are ok and its quite central. Its the restaurant that lets it down. Breakfast is very budget and not particularly varied or healthy. Plastic bread a very average toaster a rather unimaginative meusly (never can spell that ) basic cooked though i have never eaten cooked there as everything else is so uninspiring canned fruit you get the message. It wouldn't take much to lift this to something approaching interesting like the Ibis in Perth. Best Omelettes in the world there !
On arrival made welcome with necessary documents and data ready. As it was a short notice booking there were no available car parking facilities left. I accepted that, but was then informed there was no problem they would move the managers vehicle from its allocated spot and I could park there. Very thoughtful and accommodating (excellent).
This experience was probably most disappointing I have had as a Accor member (gold), I was not greeted as a valued Accor member, the air con in my room was not working and the lady who came advised that it is not supposed to be changed from 24 degrees as it won't work ( rubbish) and then acknowledged it didn't work regardless and asked if it would be ok if I still stayed in the room???? I live in th gulf where it is 40 degrees everyday so I don't want to spend the night paying to be stinking hot, I was told that they would see what was avail, and then told I was to be upgraded to a executive room. My question is why wasn't this offered when I checked as part of a gold membership is a room upgrade. Room was great and air con worked perfect, no problems until I went to sleep at 930pm i was woken to yelling, screaming and laughter coming from the pool which was below my room. At 1030 I rang reception to be told that the pool is open until 12am and these young people had a flight at 2am so they were trying to stay awake. I advised I had a 9 hour drive back to the gulf leaving at 5am but apparently this didn't matter, at midnite the noise stopped. One thing I did forget to mention that the lift was also broken down. Will not return again, love Accor and their hotel but not here.
Very friendly staff that provide caring service, comfortable rooms at a very competitive price.Restaurant has limited menu of beautiful well priced meals.Location is convenient to the CBD and most venues are within walking distance.Limited off street parking.
My wife and I stayed at the Ibis Styles Cairns Hotel for four nights in late March, 2017 and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well located in downtown Cairns, is quite affordable, and was very friendly and clean. Both cold and hot breakfast offered. Walking distance to coast, marina, and boats to the Great Barrier Reef.
My executive room was wonderfully spacious and perfectly positioned away from the bustle of lifts and potentially noisy residents. I had booked a 'special' but was still impressed with what I received. Easy walking proximity the city centre and its many delights, the State Library for a workshop, attentive and professional staff made this a stay that will definitely have me returning.
Staff were very helpful- an early checkin was given which was unexpected but very welcomed. Staff always were cheerful and we're happy to assist with any small detail. Room was clean and a large size.
Really nice hotel and the staff very welcoming. Lovely continental breakfast and considering there were over 100 school children staying at the same time, very quiet and the dining room was kept immaculate, well done.
Very friendly at check in. Able to check in early. Family room 2 bedroom spacious. Self catering Location excellent. Very friendly an helpful staff. Quiet area -- walking distance to everything. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend an stay there again.
We are regulars at this hotel and as usual we were greeted like "old friends" when we checked in for our New Year stay. We regularly return to this hotel because all the staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size, the beds really comfortable with crisp white linen and the rooms and bathrooms are always clean. As usual we were able to book at a very competitive rate which included a continental breakfast. Finally we find the location of this hotel ideal just 5 minutes walk to the heart of Cairns and only a couple of blocks back from the esplanade, We will return.
We had a lovely stay at the the ibis hotel only 20 mins away from airport and 5 mins away from the esplanade. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very helpful and have all the information needed if you want to book tours etc.
Booked two rooms for a visit to the Great Barrier Reef and found the rooms to be some of the cleanest that I have stayed in. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. All the staff were really helpful especially Daniel in reception who could not do enough.I really enjoyed the stay.I have stayed in Ibis hotels previously and will continue to do so when I go back to the UK. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
We had an enjoyable stay, large room with kitchen facilities. Only problem the beds were very very firm. Walking distance to the Lagoon and heaps of other places to eat. Breakfast at the Ibis was only basic.
good place but still need better selectionof Pay tv channels an reception of existing channels the location is close to all but parking and the witches hats idea is very bad food is good staff are pleasant
Air conditioner didn't work properly as the room was hot and it leaked severely. The room needs an upgrade and much needed maintenance. Very friendly staff and the service was great. The breakfast and dining was also good
This property has a face lift since last stayin. Its had a fresh paint and new carpet. Very impressed. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Breakfast staff exceptional. looking forward to staying again
A clean, air conditioned hotel in a good location in Cairns. Breakfast was a great choice and unexpected. The bathrooms were a little dated, but overall, not bad for the price. The pool was lovely and clean.
