Stayed here for three nights. It's only a coupla blocks from great restaurants, the night market, the esplanade, and the piers where reef tours leave from. While I was a little surprised at the age of the hotel, given it's an Ibis Styles, the staff were great, the facilities impeccably clean, and the included breakfast for than adequate. Yes, I'd stay there again. Since all we did was sleep there, it was entirely adequate for our needs. I mean, you're in Cairns - you're not likely to hang around the hotel, are you?
Handy to central Cairns, not too far from the airport, and friendly staff. It is a very good place to stay when transiting through Cairns. The facilities are limited - it is not a luxury resort hotel - but it is comfortable and clean and good value for money, and easy walking distance to the CBD.
Room was clean and spacious with all the amenities needed, 24 hour reception was excellent, bathroom dispensers were a great idea. Central to everything in Cairns, would definitely recommend to anyone planning a trip there.
Spent two nights there really affordable and close to all amenities and the night markets. Great servic excellent good money for value. Thank you Ibis Cairns keep up the great work. The staff made you feel welcome and assisted my sister and I with all our needs.
I recently stayed for 1 night. Reception staff were excellent. The toilet wasn’t working so we were moved to another room - very efficient and helpful staff. The second room had a working toilet but a very poor air conditioner. It was set at 18deg but was actually around 25 deg. Both rooms the air con filters hadn’t been cleaned for months. Very little on site parking available - had to park on the street,
We stayed three nights at the Ibis Styles Hotel we were pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and helpful and courteous staff. Very convenient to wharf and Esplanade walked everywhere. Would stay again hope to return someday so much to do and see. Thank you
We had two nights scheduled at the Cairns Ibis Styles. We only lasted one night, and that's because we got in late and had no other options. We cancelled the second night and couldn't get out of there quick enough. We had booked the Family Suite. The room was worn out and dirty. There were multiple stains on the carpet, and couch. The walls were dirty with several patches of paint that didn't match. The air conditioners were loud and sounded like they were going to fall apart at any moment, and couldn't cool down past 24 Celsius. The rate for 2 adults and 2 kids was $214 AUD plus a service fee if using Visa. The rooms were spacious, ideal for families, one room had a queen and twin bed, the other has two twin beds. Beds were average. Bathroom was small and could only accommodate one person. Kitchen area was was old, but the fridge worked well and cooled down a case of water. Be cautions if booking here, and understand what you are getting.
Ibis Styles is very well located adjacent to CBD. One block from main bus station and CBD, a few blocks from Esplanade. Hotel staff very friendly, and rooms large and comfortable. Good value for money.
The rooms were clean! Plus, the was a nice size; big enough so we were not cramped. On checkout, they stored our bags until we were ready to go to the airport. For us, the continental breakfast was just right interns of quantity and quality.
We had a quick overnight stop so just needed somewhere well priced and good location, room was well equipped although the whole hotel looks a little old and tired but was very clean and comfortable, we’d stay here again.
Family rooms are awesome for people with kids, plenty of room and space. Could do with a toaster though. Great location just across from the new aquarium and short walk to the lagoon, city, movies and cairns central.
Excellent accommodation for a budget hotel.Friendly staff and comfortable rooms with basic fixtures,Location is convenient being opposite the new aquarium. Restaurant dinner menu is limited ,mains and sweets are good but the sides need improvement.
Well......for a 3 star, very impressed. I usually stay in other hotels, bug wanted to see how big the Ibis family room is. Great price, 2 bedrooms, 2 tvs, kitchenette, with microwave, just great. I was extremely impressed with the staff, they have really got it right here, they are happy to help, extremely customer focussed. Well done one happy customer!
We stay here regularly for the simple reason that it is great value for money, the staff are all so very friendly and helpful and it couldn't be better situated; just a short walk to the city centre or the Cairns Central shopping mall and an even shorter walk to the esplanade. We usually stay in one of the executive rooms which are a bit more expensive but are also bigger rooms.
Look this hotel is ok if you're there for a short vision a budget (its not cheap cheap) . Staff are as usual for Ibis very caring and friendly. The Rooms are ok and its quite central. Its the restaurant that lets it down. Breakfast is very budget and not particularly varied or healthy. Plastic bread a very average toaster a rather unimaginative meusly (never can spell that ) basic cooked though i have never eaten cooked there as everything else is so uninspiring canned fruit you get the message. It wouldn't take much to lift this to something approaching interesting like the Ibis in Perth. Best Omelettes in the world there !
On arrival made welcome with necessary documents and data ready. As it was a short notice booking there were no available car parking facilities left. I accepted that, but was then informed there was no problem they would move the managers vehicle from its allocated spot and I could park there. Very thoughtful and accommodating (excellent).
This experience was probably most disappointing I have had as a Accor member (gold), I was not greeted as a valued Accor member, the air con in my room was not working and the lady who came advised that it is not supposed to be changed from 24 degrees as it won't work ( rubbish) and then acknowledged it didn't work regardless and asked if it would be ok if I still stayed in the room???? I live in th gulf where it is 40 degrees everyday so I don't want to spend the night paying to be stinking hot, I was told that they would see what was avail, and then told I was to be upgraded to a executive room. My question is why wasn't this offered when I checked as part of a gold membership is a room upgrade. Room was great and air con worked perfect, no problems until I went to sleep at 930pm i was woken to yelling, screaming and laughter coming from the pool which was below my room. At 1030 I rang reception to be told that the pool is open until 12am and these young people had a flight at 2am so they were trying to stay awake. I advised I had a 9 hour drive back to the gulf leaving at 5am but apparently this didn't matter, at midnite the noise stopped. One thing I did forget to mention that the lift was also broken down. Will not return again, love Accor and their hotel but not here.
Very friendly staff that provide caring service, comfortable rooms at a very competitive price.Restaurant has limited menu of beautiful well priced meals.Location is convenient to the CBD and most venues are within walking distance.Limited off street parking.
My wife and I stayed at the Ibis Styles Cairns Hotel for four nights in late March, 2017 and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well located in downtown Cairns, is quite affordable, and was very friendly and clean. Both cold and hot breakfast offered. Walking distance to coast, marina, and boats to the Great Barrier Reef.
My executive room was wonderfully spacious and perfectly positioned away from the bustle of lifts and potentially noisy residents. I had booked a 'special' but was still impressed with what I received. Easy walking proximity the city centre and its many delights, the State Library for a workshop, attentive and professional staff made this a stay that will definitely have me returning.
