Big advantage of this hotel is the staff and the cleanliness. The hotel tends to be business and couple friendly, in that it is not frequented very much in my experience of about four stays by families with young children. The staff create a very nice ambience. The courtesy, friendliness and professionalism of the front desk, restaurant and cleaning staff is second to none.
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights - two rooms and out of the 6 full days we spent there; 4 days we had no water in the room between 09.00 and 17.00 so our plan for a morning trip; resting at the hotel and going out in the late afternoon was a disaster. If we would have known this; we would have booked a different hotel. We complained and would get "extra Accor points" which we received: points worth Euro 16 - for a Euro 1150 stay??!! Obvious we were upset since this lake of water (no shower + no toilet) in a 30 C degree period was a disaster! I am Gold member and stay at Accor hotels over 30 years and never had a disruption in srvice like this. I took pictures of the 3 day and 1 extra (BONUS) day without water!!
A good hotel for the price, no safe or fridge in the room but clean and tidy, the bed was very comfy. Top marks must to Mihaila on reception, she made our stay with her very friendly welcome always happy to help and always with a smile. The position of the hotel was very good set between the port and the train station, both just 5 mins walk
We did stay 3 Nights, The Staff all was Freindly ! Big room and clean as allways and a nice Bathroom. A nice chose of standard Breakfast offered! We did enjoy ouer Stay and deffently will be back! Thank you !
The hotel is cleverly located close to the tramway street, and a big shopping centre. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Moreover, the rooms are cleaned and tidied every day. Fast and reliable free wi-fi. I would go back!
Hotel was great and staff were always helpful. The breakfast was great value and the location is perfect for anyone staying in Nice-a short walk to the centre, seaside and not too far for the shuttle bus to the airport. Thanks to the staff at Ibis Nice Palais des Congres we had a great time in Nice.
We requested a quiet courtyard room but were given a room overlooking the street, small and not in good condition and with curtain holes throughout the poor curtains, letting even more light in. We asked to change and to be fair the receptionist did change us to a better courtyard room at the end of the corridor, which turned out the be quiet. The room itself was perfectly acceptable. Our first stay in an Ibis and probably wouldn't rush back though with a budget of 100€ in Nice in July, there's not much choice around. We paid 91€ plus the 12.50€ parking but would probably book a more expensive room elsewhere next time, or book earlier. Parking in the area is not easy and the nearby car park is more expensive. Note the Ibis parking is over 24 hours so you should be able to leave the car after you have checked out.
I stayed 3 nights due to an event at the Nice Acropolis. Superb service from the very friendly staff. Well located for events at the congress center. With walking distance from old town. Breakfast not too exiting.
We were on a driving tour of Europe and wanted to stop over in Nice. We chose this hotel primarily as it had secure parking but in fact it proved to be a good choice for other reasons. We followed Satnav directions to the hotel which brought us right outside where we parked for a short in the hotel bus parking space while we brought in our luggage. Once checked in we were given directions to the underground car park which was ideal for us, although be aware that high vehicles (4x4's or cars with a top box) might not be able to enter as the ceiling is very low in places. The check in girls were perfect! How I wish every hotel I use had staff like that. (Of all the hotels we used the most friendly and helpful staff were at Ibis - in some cases even better than the sister Mercure chain of hotels - and, by the way I do NOT work, nor have any connections with the Accor group!) The rooms are standard Ibis type, which means not luxurious and only with basic toiletries etc., but certainly clean and comfortable. Especially the new beds, which are very comfortable. Our only issue was that the room was near the lift machinery which could be a little noisy now and then in the night. It might not be an issue for many, but I am a light sleeper and if staying again I would make sure the room is in a quieter location. The breakfast is again standard Ibis fare, but it has much higher quality and a greater choice of buffet food than Ibis hotels in the UK. Why?
The staff at the hotel make it an amazing experience. They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Rooms were spotless and quiet, although a bit basic, as you would expect at an Ibis. Great stay!
I usually go for Ibis Hotels as you know what to expect and have never been disappointed, The Palais des Congres was clean, very well located and the staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is 10 minutes from the harbour, 10 minutes from the main Garibaldi square and in such a fantastic town the walk is quite pleasant. It is even closer to the tram stop if you want to go to the other side of the town and bus stop is an easy 5 minute walk for an airport transfer.
Stayed at this Ibis Hotel for 3 nights on a recent trip to NIce. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are quite large with a good size comfy bed. The bathrooms seem to have been updated since I last stayed in an Ibis which is good. I do wish you were given 2 towels each though. Breakfast was very good and the gentleman in charge kept everything replenished and tidy. The hotel is a short walk from the tram and about a 15 minute walk to the old town or beach. I give the hotel top marks for cleanliness both in the bedroom and public areas.
Excellent stay...friendly staff...especially France at reception, free wifi in rooms and it was quick and easy to connect...very central to where conference was on and also to the Tram and the bus for the airport...will return
Not far from port area but easy to achieve there. Quite rooms, clean at any level, full of gadgets in common area up to headphone CD music station, indoor and outdoor breakfast/drinking area where relax in sunny or mild nights, kind and smart service, parking inside ( must be good driver and agile: parking sites are really tiny). Department store at 200m distance.
Location of hotel is good , the tram stop is not very close but certainly not far; pretty much walkable. The Garibaldi large square is close and can be walked up to. Internet is very slow in the rooms , dont expect to see a buffering video stream or even you tube was not working; it used to work sometimes perhaps during low traffic. However, for emails and basic stuff the internet was sufficient enough. Parking slots are very small, beware if you want to use your car daily. Now the biggest negative I found is the breakfast, I agree it was not expensive from Nice standards but then the quality offered over compensated for the price I paid. No scrambled egg or even boiled eggs and only some cheese and a salami was there for protein stuff. Weird tortilla and lot of unhealthy cake/bread combi was ofcourse there. Often the milk was finished and the only lady overlooking the breakfast was found missing and kitchen door had to be knocked to get the milk bottle refilled. However, the staff in general and the lady was polite and would immediately get you the stuff. Another problem, the cleaning lady (training is lacking) took everything off from the shelf in the room which I have never seen anywhere someone touching in my all last stays at Ibis or anywhere else. So she took off my steel spoons, my browny cake, my 80% filled coca cola pet as part of the cleaning , all my used tickets lying beside; thankfully they were all petty items.
Located at about 10 min walk away from the Place Garibaldi and 2 minutes away from a carrefour store. Spacious and neat rooms. Very helpful and forthcoming staff. Good value for money all in all. Only downside was that we needed a refrigerator in the room. But the staff were more than happy to store it in the common fridge.
The rooms are sparse to say the least. Ants in the rooms! The location is a bit off even if you can walk to the plage (30 min). The beds are hard and the A/C is noisy. Don't even think about eating the breakfast here - expensive and all they have to offer is sugar, sweets and even more sugar. No hot food and not even a single vegetable. Bad!!
We stopped in Nice for 2 nights during our trip through Europe. This hotel was one of the nicest we stayed in during our trip. The only negative was that it was a bit of a walk from the hotel to the beach, as the beach was the main thing we stopped in Nice for. Other than that, the room was very spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly.
We received a very good service from this hotel, going beyond what I expected. The receptionist(s) were very helpful and efficient checking us in and issuing the keys (roomcard). We also enquired about the parking and very knowledgable about the local street parking times (free from 8pm until 9am next morning Mon-Sat) and giving directions to local sites. Parking can be hard in city, quite often full bumper to bumper and the locals double park and kind of half blocking the parked car by the curb. Couldn't see any traffic wardens patrol so I also just parked up where I could find a space but not obstructing any other vehicles. Seems quite safe neighbourhood even in the late evenings when we once walked back. The staff are very friendly and once we wanted to borrow a kettle and some mugs in the , we were lent one with 10 euros deposit in the middle of the night and they very happy to help.
Stayed in the Ibis in Nice for one evening before travelling to Italy. It was exactly what you'd expect from an Ibis hotel: the room was a decent size and immaculately clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the price was very competitive and the only thing that I could potentially fault about it was that it was a little but further out from the old town centre, but it was only a 5 - 10 minute walk to where the action was. If you're looking for a perfectly functional hotel then this is the one for you.
