I love to say at this hotel. The staffs are helpful and care. Need variety of breakfast. I've been staying for seven nights and feel a bit bored for the food of breakfast. Special note to the laundry: please look after the cloth more to be clean and smooth ironing. Special note to the house keeping: please keep the blanket clean properly. Over all: I love it. I'll be back, for sure.
Having stayed at this hotel 4 years ago, we looked forward to staying here again. Unfortunately, this property has not been well maintained and is badly in need of renos. We upgraded to plus, but sadly, this only provided a bathtub, instead of only a shower (which we actually would have preferred). The room had a terrible musty smell of which we notified the front desk immediately. They responded quickly by sending someone up with a can of spray room deodorizer. My husband had difficulty breathing and had to use an inhaler during each night of our stay, which he never does as a rule. We would have left had we not prepaid our 4 night stay. The room was not well maintained...stains on the walls, dirty carpets in the halls. The roof top pool/lounge area which we so enjoyed on previous stays was now occupied by a group of young male servers who continuously played incredibly offensive "gangster rap" which was loaded with horrible language and violent imagery! The area looked unkempt, worn and dirty, although the actual pool was still very nice. We could only stay long enough for a brief swim. The breakfast experience was also a disappointment. There was so little staff in the dining room during the busiest times of day that they were absolutely run off their feet and it was difficult to get a specialty coffee, which they had to make. The salad and fruit bar was not once fully stocked during our stay. The foods on the hot bar were often cold and not frequently restocked. All in all, a sad state of affairs! The restaurant was empty in the evenings and there were few staff on duty. We did stop in for a pizza one night, which was surprisingly good. The front desk staff were lovely! They went out of their way to help us on every occasion, including getting our cell phone sorted out. Overall, however, we cannot recommend this hotel any longer. There are much better options in Yogyakarta which are also better value. Grab and Go make transportation so easy, that you can stay anywhere in the city and still get around for very little, so no need to be right near Maliaboro any longer.
Booked 2 rooms with 2 single bed on each room for 3 nights. Was given 1 double bed each room. Was told confirmation was 1 double bed although I present my email confirmation was single bed. Bedroom 416 has a broken safety latch inside.
This hotel is located at Jalan Degan Malioboro. It's only take 10 minutes by becak to Malioboro Street. Breakfast is just okay. Check in and check out is fast. They have swimming pool on the top which is great.
The rooms and hotel is a run down and outdated, but it's cheap. the room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Only 5 minutes walk from main shopping area & malioboro mall. Amazing view from the sky bar. However the attention to customer service in this hotel was the worst I have encountered in all of Indonesia, or any country. Firstly I should say that the staff were always very kind and friendly, but every single time I was at the restaurant or sky bar I would spend so much time waiting for the staff because they would disappear or be in another place talking to each other. I could understand if they were busy but most of the time they were just sitting around not paying any attention to the guests. Every single time I waited 15-20 minutes for the bill or to make my order.
This is not my first time stay in Ibis Styles Jogjakarta. Just like my first experience, I always be impressed by the atmosphere. The staffs, hospitality, cleanliness is excellence. Styles will always in my top list. No doubt!
I've stayed at Ibis Styles Yogyakarta on many occasions. The staff are friendly , breakfast is a good selection and I enjoy the sky bar & pool area on the roof. It's located close to the Main Street, so no issues in access to the atmosphere of Yogyakarta!
Room very clean room and hotel...staff all very friendly....very good breakfast.....great swimming pool on 7th floor...with bar and great views of Jogyakarta...close to shopping...bathroom small but workable.......
The service so nice and professional. There was no more deluxe room as booked, and ibis style upgraded to family room with free of charge. It has big space and bath tube. The swimming pool and roof top were fascinating as well. Breakfast was served with a lot of choices. Location is very near to malioboro.
I score 3 out 5 because I have a mix feeling about this hotel. The staffs are super friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the hotel condition is very old dated to my liking and it has a strange smells. With another Rp.100-150K (or AUD$10-15) extra you will get a much better newer hotel. The breakfast is ok. The location is ok too, you can walk to Malioboro Main Street about 10-15 min but remember that the weather is pretty humid, so you feel like you have been walking much longer. At the end you won't go to Malioboro all the time, so staying in another hotel further is very ok because you will go by car.
The room is big enough for 2 adults and 1 children. Food is not good enough and parking space is very limited. My saloon car had problem when entered via main lobby. Main lobby is too high than the road.
Very cheerful and helpful team here at Ibis Styles, from security to F&B and housekeeping team. I could not remember everyone's name, though I had first and multiple encounters with the very nice reception personnel Indrah and Fifa. Area for improvement: speed of the food preparation at the lobby restaurant, though the customer service was delightful :)
The hotel is walking distance to Malioboro street the heart of shopping in Yogyakarta. Hotel rooms are clean and the javanese breakfast substantial (although it had the same menu daily), the breads were also very good. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is that if you are in the upper floors, you can hear the noise from the bar on the top floor.
The bedrooms are comfortable and clean. The bathroom is always clean and sufficient for the other hotel i its class. The strategic location of the hote, close to the touris cente of Yogyakarta; Malioboro
A nice and comfortable hotel, close to the railway station and the main street. A nice pool to cool down after your visit to the places to be seen in Yogyakarta or the temples in the surrounding area. The staff is hospitable and helpfull.
Great location, just off Malioboro. The rooftop pool & bar is definitely a plus, and they serve beer & wine. Room is nice size, very clean and well maintained. Nice and attentive staff. Recommended. Breakfast was just average, but OK.
colourful, funky furniture, like IKEA..clean. breakfast is ok.Try complimentary 10 minutes massage at top floor next to shallow pool and sky lounge.Also got special desk for Leclub accormember, that is handy, can recomfirm or phone ahead your accorhotels.
Room size is ok but bed sheet was not changed, smelly. Bath room got smoking smell perhaps leaked from other ventilation. Breakfast was not good, 3 rotten salak fruits were on the serving table. Will not back.
This hotel is perfectly located and just off the main malioboro street! Lots of cool cafes, restaurants and shops near by. Staff here are incredibly friendly and I was very well looked after! They even offered to make box breakfast when I wanted to leave early in the morning for Borabadur sunrise. Rooftop bar is a nice place to relax with live music after a busy day. Excellent value
I would give this hotel a 4 but if they can improve on 2 things: 1. bathroom tiles and walls of the shower area was moldy. The blinds covering the window of the shower area is also moldy. I did request for housekeeping to clean it and they said OK they will do their best. However, when I return back to the room after the day tour, nothing changes. Very disappointing for an international chain hotel. 2. Breakfast can do with more variety.
