Had a terrible experience. Had booked online and they claimed I could check in online, landed after midnight, only to find I had to go through the process all over again. I had booked late checkout, however the staff had no idea about it.
I stay regularly at this hotel and have always been pleased with the level of courtesy and quality of the rooms, food and service the location provides. This trip was a little different in that I arrived very early (5AM) and as a gold card holder asked for an early check in. They had someone who had checked out early and I was offered the room but would be charged the FULL rate for 3 hours. Now I am ok with being charged something for the room but when you have already taken a full payment for the room from someone who has checked out early (like I did at midnight Monday) then charge the full amount again it seems a bit off. Still that was my only gripe, the rest of my stay was pleasant and I will return.
Very inattentive non cooperative staff, miscommunication and over commitment at the time of check in and you are taken to surprise while checking out. Poor service, strongly not recommended unless there's no other option and you are drenched in the streets of Bangalore.
Getting Uber to come in for pick up was quite hard Phone in Hotel room was extremely noisy and call quality was very very poor as a result. Bed is ok, but pillows could be a bit more hard. Lighting in the room is really subpar. It is not good for reading / writing. The built in couch - is done thoughtlessly - with half the couch is below the writing desk !!
Very courteous and helpful staff. Clean and hygienic rooms. Well maintained. This was my third stay and am highly satisfied and would recommend it for business travellers. The location was quite central given my work requirements. Plenty of local transport available in the area which makes it a convenient stay. The Novotel hotel is within the same complex hence a lot of options for restaurants and availability of a high class facilities in the same area.
Location worked out brilliantly as the work place was literally 5 mins away. The staff at ibis TechPark were very friendly and helpful. They even looked after my parents who arrived early and were waiting for me. Having said that the room wasnt the best that I have stayed in. It could be a bit clean, looks like the floor has been swept for the sake of it and with all the dust settled just next to walls. And
The rooms are pretty small and there are no bell boys to help in check in and check out. And I feel it's definitely not worth the money you spend. Moreover, I asked for a queen suite but they handed me a double bed room with any prior intimation.
I have seen many budget hotels, but IBIS tops the list of providing bad service. The rooms are hardly there, and the bathroom was disgustingly dirty and small.They charge for extra plate, 20 rs for brush etc. The breakfast is horrible, and of course there is no one to take your luggage to the room.At 6000rs/night I expected better.But the torment was never ending.The bed sheets, blanket and other upholstery was dirty and the bathroom was like that of a low cost airline. Funniest is that for everything there is a charge. For dental kit Rs.10 etc. It is a lowly property and I never wish to go back to experience that again. Even a hostel would have been a better option.
It was a very comfortable over night stay. The rooms were clean and neat. The staff were friendly. Food was good. All the basic needs were met. I would recommend it to any traveler looking for a business hotel.
Our office is very close to the hotel and the availability of a shuttle was fantastic. The rooms are small but all I need is somewhere to sleep so for me not an issue. The staff are great, not always in your face but always there to help when you need them. We loved the Hub bar great atmosphere and great staff especially Suresh who runs a great bar and knows how to keep he customers happy and Bhadru who ensured we never went hungry. Spice It restraint has a great selection and great service. I love the local food but the ability to have the choice of other options was welcomed occasionally. Thanks to all the other staff too numerous to mention who made coming back to our home from home after a tough 12 days work comfortable and relaxing.
- Receptionists not at all customer friendly. - Booked for Queen sized bed room. Instead gave 2 single bed room. When asked, they do not even realize, it should not be done like that. - Bad lighting inside room. - Rooms not worth for the money paid. - Only positive is location, which is nearby to many MNC.
The property looks good from outside, but is essentially like Ginger Hotels; No toiletries in the room, and everything available at a price. Self check-in (no bell boys) and check-out - not that I mind, but the impression I had was that this was a full-service hotel. Since they are a Ginger-like hotel, I would expect the prices to be in that range. As such, I feel they are bit over-priced. The double bedroom given really felt like a single bedroom; too small! Otherwise, property is good.
I stay at Ibis Techpark pretty often (maybe once every 2 months) and am a member of their loyalty program. Been staying since > 2 yrs now. Pros: 1) Location is a big plus point since my work place is very close by and I don't have to spend much time in traffic during peak hours. 2) Buffet breakfast has a lot of options to choose from. I usually stick to Idli/dosa/vada. The taste of food items is pretty consistent across days. Staff is very courteous and every ready to help with anything one may ask for. 3) Rooms are good and comfortable, but over time I find there is some deterioration in overall room quality. For eg, in recent times I have had trouble with the TV. Sometimes the TV wouldn't start in which case I had to change a room and the last time TV remote wouldn't work. So I had to call their guy to check what could be wrong. It so happened that the sensor to detect TV remote signal is stuck below the TV (I think its for DTH box) and the thing just got unstuck. Its natural orientation was not right for sensing TV remote signal. I wasn't very happy with the fix applied, the guy didn't stick the sensor back or something. He just told me the problem description and expected me to hold remote in the right direction always. Till sometime back their TV system would also undergo a reboot of some sort which would cause TV to take few tens of seconds before starting. But this problem wasn't encountered over last 2-3 stays. 4) The hotel has large basement to park private vehicles and security is pretty good. Specifically even when exiting basement there is an obstruction kept to prevent cars getting stolen. One has to honk and wait for security personnel to come move the obstruction. Cons: 1) Their a-la-carte dinner menu is very limited. More choice would be welcome. 2) Multiple security checks - car boot check at gate and bag X-ray scanning at reception is a pain. And I think both checks are basically pointless since there are glaring security loopholes. 3) Over time I am seeing some deterioration in room quality. For eg, this time I found that their coffee maker wasn't nicely washed. Then the drain in bathroom would get clogged within few minutes of turning showed on. I found some quite a bit of rust in door stopper. Summary: Overall I would highly recommend this place for anyone who has to visit their workplace nearby. Though there are some minor shortcomings, they are in no way a show stopper. This is a comfortable place to crash, eat, drink!
I stayed at the property over the weekend and found the staff to be very courteous, responsive and very well behaved. I could easily recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Bengaluru for business/ leasure
Wife and myself had stayed at IBIS for 4 nights. As courtesy they should have been able to adjust or accomodate for couple of hrs on the day of arrival. Front desk was not accomodative enough at all. Pretty adamant on getting 1/2 day charge for checkin @ 10am. With regard to house keeping their service was excellent as done by Manoj & Anthony.
I had very bad exprience staying in hotel on two occassion. Once to hand over my belongings, the hotel housekeeping team / reception team wanted me to acknowledge receipt, left in hotel and on my reminder to hotel. Second incidence - I stayed in Hotel for 5 days and due to some change in plan I had to vacate room day earlier evening at 6 pm. On request to duty manager and other staff, they had charged me for half days that too as obligation to me though I left the room at 8 am in the morning and returned only at 5.45 pm to vacate the room. This charges could have been waived considering the relationship with customer that forced me to look for other options.
I have stayed here between 01-02-15 to 02-02-15, though their check in time was 140.00hrs, I had reached their hotel at 10.00am since i had booked an early morning flight from mumbai and requested them for early checkin, they promptly offered me the room without charging any additional tariff. the staff is very pleasant and helpful.
We received a confirmation email from accor hotels for our stay with tariff including taxes, however the front office person and front office manager declined to accept it. We had booked 2 rooms, one for a night and the other for 2 nights. While checking out and settling the bill for the first room they confirmed that the price difference would be adjusted in the second room bill, but that did not happen either. They also charged an additional amount to my credit card account at the time of check in; some sort of security deposit I assume. This deposit amount is yet to be reversed in my credit card account, even though they promised it would be done in 3 days. Awaiting a resolution to this problem. Bad attitude of front desk personnel disturbs the otherwise normal experience.
Spent two nights at the Ibis Bengaluru Techpark. Good location, though the entrance does require a little getting used to because of the flyover in front of the hotel. Great ambience, clean and comfortable. Good spread for breakfast, though I could not partake of the variety as I was in a hurry. Fantastic value for money, though I suppose this is early days. I wish the elevators would go down to the basement car parks - they have the capability which hasn't yet been activated. All in all, a no nonsense hotel which gives terrific bang for the buck.
The check In was quick. All team members were very courteous and Hospitable. The choices in dining were good, The only red mark was since we felt that the Hotel is slack on weekends the poolside bar didn't offer us a good dining option. Rooms were very apt and clean.
