Very nice hotel. Excellent rooms. Freindly staff. Near to the main town and the ferry port. Near to restaurants and the beach. A very nice breakfast is included in the price. The hotel has a garage.. Stayed here three times and will stay again.

This was a modern hotel on the outskirts of the old town at St Malo, about 15 mins walk to the ramparts. The staff were amazing, understanding my broken French and supply ong lovely snack food that we were Ble to eat on our balcony watching the sun setting behind the old town. This was a 24 hour stopover to save driving from the southwest of Brittany on the day of our departure but it became a real extra day on holiday, leaving time after checkin to stroll to St Malo old town, walk the ramparts, amble back and have some food before bed. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Rooms are very comfortable and spotless. Also quiet at the back of the hotel. The front is on one of the main roads out of St Malo and in hot weather, when you need a window open, (no air-con) remains noisy 24 hours a day. All the staff were delightful, friendly and helpful

The receptionist insisted that we did not have a reservation although I had booked well in advance and did not seem keen to double check. I refused to move until she looked further and then she found it, no word of apology was offered. The hotel otherwise was excellent its a pity that a snotty attitude from one member of staff should mar the overall reputation of the hotel.

Stayed for one night on our way through St Malo. Room was clean and comfortable and hotel staff friendly. Underground parking was available on site. Breakfast good and included in the very reasonable price. Some noise during the night. If WiFi is a deal-breaker for you then I would suggest somewhere else because although advertised it did not work at all

Our stay was for one night only before our ferry crossing. The hotel is in the perfect location for the port only 5 minutes travelling. The breakfast was superb and we will certainly return on our next ferry crossing.

Happy as always of the Ibis service and rooms. Although the parking is very expensive (€8/night). They don't have proper meals in the evening, only snacks. When I ordered Macaroni, I though I would get a decent plate or at least something to fill my stomach. I didn't, just a handful of pasta from the microwave and some bread. It's ok, but they should note that it's a very small portion. I understand the snack = small. But I thought with snack they just warm it up for you, as in, not cooked on the spot.

excellent accomodation, clean comfortable well equipped rooms two minutes from the ferry port and with secure parking. Friendly helpful staff made this hotel a great way to end the holiday. although the menu was limited, breakfast (included in the price) was more than adequate.

This hotel as all the ibis style hotels I have stayed in were very convenient to the ferry port the rooms very comfortable the staff speak very good English and are friendly and efficient. The breakfast is good with plenty of choice

My wife and I were pleased with the hotel which was very close to the ferry port ( 5 mins by car) and 15 mins (by foot) to the ramparts of the town. We were able to park the car under the hotel. The room was light and airy and the breakfast very acceptable and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel including bedroom was clean and bright and the breakfast good.

We had 3 rooms for the family, 2 of which stank of stale smoke. It was disgusting and we complained and asked to be moved. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so no option to move. To put a family with 3 young children into rooms like this is pretty poor.

No air con and Windows only opened fully onto car park (so security concern with young kids) poor night's sleep but hotel was otherwise ok with good service and reasonably clean and good breakfast selection. Ali's close to port (although would consider ibis in city walls next time)

This is a very clean and modern hotel only a short distance from the ferry terminal Maritime du Naye. The breakfast is ok and the staff are very helpful. The facilities in the rooms are sufficient for an overnight stay. No Aircon, no fridge and no kettle.

New hotel. Great rooms and bathrooms. 20 min walk from St Malo town which is gorgeous. 2 min drive from ferry port back to Portsmouth. Secure hotel car park. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoyable and comprehensive buffet breakfast included. Thank you

Located a short drive from the walled town. Parking available below the hotel for 9 euros daily. The third floor room was a good size, clean, and quiet at night, though facing the street. Breakfast was OK--coffee and orange juice was good. Cheese and ham was so-so., and generally not consumed by guests. Would recommend getting a good local cheese (non-industrial) and better quality ham, as encountered in other Ibis Styles.

Excellent hotel, very modern, lovely clean rooms and big shower plenty of hot water, good breakfast with good food choices, Most definitely will stay again as and when an overnight stay in St Malo is needed.

My stay did not start very well. I arrived first at the hotel and was trying to send an SMS to my son who was coming separately with my wife driving in her car. It was impossible to copy and paste the hotel address from the confirmation email or from the AccorHotel App. It kept sending me to Maps. I had to go to Google and manually find the address to send to my son by SMS. Why SMS? Because since my wife was driving, that was the only way of making sure some information can be sent across due to incertain data coverage along the motorway. When I arrived, I was unpleasantly surprised that the 2 rooms we booked were not close to each other. This was a family outing and my children had to sleep in a different floor. I had expected that since Accor Hotel has my previous booking details they would have known that we are travelling as a family and hence needed to be together! Fortunately the hotel staff was kind and helpful and made our stay pleasant in spite of the bad start of the stay. Cheers to the hotel staff.

Ideal location to visit St Malo although maybe being in the middle of St Malo itself would have been better but parking would have been a problem, this was a better option. Ibis styles is also the best option of the three categories offered by Ibis. Ibis Styles St Malo offered comfortable accommodation, secure parking and good breakfast selection. Limitless coffee and tea was available f.o.c. throughout the day along with croissants if you were lucky. It's a short walk (1.5km) from the hotel to St Malo but there are interesting things to see on the way like the fresh fish market immediately opposite the hotel and the selection of fish is mouth watering. I would most certainly stay here again and for much longer.

Check-in was done online so there were no delays or forms to fill out on arrival. After an 8 hour drive I was pleased to find that the reception staff, were friendly, efficient, and helpful. My key was waiting for me, on arrival, and I was shown were I could park my car in the security controlled garage without having to ask. The room was very clean and well decorated the bed was extremely comfortable. Even though my room was at the front of the hotel I heard no noise at all during the night. Breakfast was a buffet style, with a mixture of cereals, and continental offerings, with something to suite everyone. As for the location it was 5 mins from the ferry terminal, ideal for what I wanted but maybe a little way out from the centre of town. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We've stayed at St. Malo before many times, and know it quite well but not on this side of the town. This hotel provided the standard expected of an IBIS Style and did just what the brochure said. It is not near the beach, (5-10 walking mins away) but this mean't that it was also not subject to crowds of people. Although on the top floor, the view over the port was an added bonus - not something I think all residents got if on a lower floor - and whilst on a busy dual carriageway, there was no noise to disturb our enjoyment of the room. We were much impressed by the helpfulness of the staff who went out of their way to help with a slight parking problem. Drivers should note that the underground garage - whilst having ample headroom inside - has a 2.00m entry door height limit which made entering the garage with a roofbox on impossible. However, my roof box was capable of quick release, and the staff were only too happy to allow me to store the box (off the car) in the garage, and were even prepared to store it in the hotel in a room behind the kitchen if I had wanted. On a general note, most of the car parks around St. Malo have height barriers set at 1.90m, so the ability to take the roofbox off and leave it at the hotel proved invaluable. We took our small dog with us and he was allowed access to all areas of the hotel as well as being allowed to stay in our room. (Something English hotels could usefully take note of!). All in all, we'd happily use this hotel again and would recommend it to our friends.

Hotel design

It starts in the lobby: penguins, a photo of high plunge right in! Then you let yourself drift with the current. Blue sea to one side, beige sand to the other... once you reach the bar, you let your cares "sip" away... If there is any left over stress, head for the breakfast room. Here, tension, like the sea, washes up on the breakwater. The adventure continues on the waterfront. In the rooms, you gather driftwood on Sillon Beach. Relaxed, settled into an ultra-comfortable bed, you soak up the calm. The calm after the storm.

Wind in your hair, you breathe the sea air and let yourself rock to the rhythm of the waves. From the ramparts, you watch the sea arch its splendid back. O Saint-Malo, an ode to nature. And at Ibis Styles, inspiration flows freely. A maritime décor, an ambiance that takes to the sea... Ahoy captain, your ship just came in!

A cool sea breeze. A breeze that lifts your mood. The spirit of Saint Malo floats over your stay. Surprised, mesmerized by the warm ambiance... you'd like to stay on and on. You no longer even feel like setting sail!
