Stayed in different Ibis hotels throughout Europe previously. And at last decided to try it for my ordinary routine travels within Russia when found there is an Ibis in Yaroslavl. It appeared a full-fledged Ibis hotel located almost in the very heart of the ancient city of Yaroslavl. Very well kept with truly decent and well-trained personnel at the reception and the bar/restaurant. Lovely interiors following common style of the hotel chain. Rather good WiFi. Lots of space to park the car around, and they have even an underground parking! So far stayed with Ibis Yaroslavl three times... hope to stay with it soon again.
A little european hotel in the middle of russian neighbourhood. Close to kremlin and central square. You get a standard Ibis service and rooms, but it's really nice compare to what you see outside of it.
The only noticeable problem was the chemical smell in my room. I think somebody smokes during the stay before mine. There was also a problem with the air blowing system which is poor and noisy. ------
Very reasonable price, good location - close to historical places as well as close to commercial center of the city. Relatively good parking ability. Rooms are typical Ibis. Bad wi-fi in lobby (almost no signal). Restuarant - ok for breakfast, but personal is very slow with refilling the food boxes. Somitimes you have ask to bring more food (whihc was over) or clean spoons or glasses etc. Restuarant for dinner - too many dishes, it takes long time to prepare. If you in company - you may experience beign serviced one by one. For dinner or lunch I would recommend to look for reastuarant somewhere nearby hotel.
I stayed at this property for 3 nights. I think the location about 3 blocks from a major dowtown square is excellent and staff at the front desk for always very helpful. Thee room rate is quite reasonable and includes a free room safe.. The room is mall by American standards and storage space for clothing s somewhat limited, but I think it's very typical for a European hotele. The bathroom includes a shower but not a tub. Linens included a floormatI and bath towels but no washcloth or face towels. I was carrying some wash clothes in my luggage just in case so this was not a big problem for me but other tourist should be aware of the situation. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and included a wide variety of traditional Russian food. It seems to be the same day after day and I think it would quickly become boring. I ate one meal in the restaurant. The service was slow and I was my wait staff spoke no English at all. The front desk staff has a very useful map of the downtown area and is quite willing to tell you how to get to various tourist sites. The Volga River and several museums and cathedrals were within walking distance. If you arrive by train, plan on taking a taxi to the hotel. It is much too far to walk from the Yaroslavl Glavnny station and although the hotel is near the bus #1 Kracny Ploshard stop it's on a side street and might be missed. The tasxi cost me 300 rubles, but I could have probably negotiated to 200. I took the city bus to the train station for my departure and only paid 16 rubles.
The hotel is situated in the very city center, nevertheless the place is nice and quiet. I would definetely recommend it to my friends and colleagues. Btw, breakfast costs too much, better to choose another place for food.
good location in the city center, very friendly atmosphere. The only thing which i dont like (as i stayed several times) - it is rather cools in the room which is not very comfortable. All other things are ok.
European service and stardards for reasonable price. You can expect to see the same Ibis as in France for example, even better, because this one is new. Stayed at this hotel many times and always satisfied.
Good hotel reasonably priced. Clean comfortable, and safe. The location is excellent, within walking distance of everything in Yaroslavl. 5mins taxi ride from main railway station or about 10min from the other station (early morning). Service level above average for Russia I would recommend this hotel.
Very good value for money. Excelent location. Very confortable and very clean rooms Pity only one towel per person for both shower and hands. Bar could do with serving dry snacks. Buffet breakfast good selection and fantastically fresh croissants.
Nice location, big enough and clean rooms, friendly and quick personnel. For the breakfast the choice of bread was limited, but the diversity and quality of food was ok. Taxi which I ordered at the reception did not arrive, but the next one came within 5 min. Will stay there again next time.
Yaroslavl is probably the best place to visit in Central Russia, I have been there for a few times and still have plans to come back. Ibis hotel provides a perfect option to stay in the very centre of this beautiful city with access to all the necessary facilities for a reasonable price.
Pros: great central location, quiet, clean, safe, good breakfast. Cons: very rigid policy - no upgrades or changes; nothing in the room - no iron, no minibar, no coffeemaker; there was no toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived; the front desk button on the phone did not work; unreliable wi-fi with intermittent Internet connection (I was unable to check e-mail most of the time); cheap fixtures in the bathroom - the shower cabin, although spacious, had holes and leaked severely. Overall: it is an ok two- to three-star hotel; served our purpose just fine this time. Next time I will try something different.
Great location, reasonable price, pets friendly (my chihuahua feels great there), comfortable underground parking, good breakfasts - this hotel has everything I need for this price. Stayed there twice and will definitely choose Ibis again.
Good choice, price can be a little bit lower, but russian hotels are all very expensive. Nice place for a stay in Yaroslavl. I stayed at this hotel last last year and now the price is higher. Inflation...
Excellent location!Good rooms (sometimes they are too noisy), comfortable beds, but very small pillows. Free parking. Everything to relax after sightseeing. We are staying there for the 2d time. I'll recommend it to friends.
Slow check-in upon arrival, had to wait 15 minutes. After this no further issues: room was comfortable and cleaned every day. Wireless internet worked as it should and enough towels were provided. Decent 3-star hotel in the centre of Yaroslavl with everything translated into English.
Good location, clean hotel and rooms, comfortable bed. Not any luxury, but wort of each roubles. Food in restaurant is not amazing except price. With same price I get same level of prepared food in a gas station in my own country.
