A very small room in a hotel located in a not too solubrious part of town. Breakfast very limited and no refreshments in the room. On street car parking nearby but only 15 minutes parking outside to check in and unload...very rushed indeed!
Very good location. A lot of restaurant very closed to this hotel. If you practice jogging, you could run in city center and the beach is not so far. Good place for have a break in your business. Staff very welcome.
We stay here at least twice a year, and this year was excellent as always. Great accommodation and good to have the car in the secure car park. Really good to see Yannick, Abderrazaq and all the other staff again. Thank you so much for a great stay again. Caroline and Gerald
The room was nice, but the deco was a bit weird. Was unclear until I arrived that you have to pay for parking! Loads of English channels. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathroom and free breakfast (I didn't have it).
We visit Calais regularly and have used the Ibis Styles since the Mercure was closed down. The staff are excellent. Our only criticism we have is room 211 where the shower is over a bath rather than walk-in. This is not very convenient for seniors.
There were a lot of gendarmes using the hotel and some were sadly homophobic but we didn't allow this to interfere with our enjoyment of the hotel. It's right in the centre and plenty of places to eat in nearby
A standard Ibis hotel with a little colour near to all th good Calais restaurants. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist and given a good sized room on the ground floor with a very comfortable bed. Sadly, there are only curtains and no blinds and the window was at street level so we had to keep the curtains shut. There are other rooms of course. Good breakfast as usual.
Less than impressed with the room because of the shower and wash hand basin being open to the bedroom and on display to any other occupants of the room whilst one is showering or washing at the sink! Very disconcerting as we value our personal privacy whilst partaking in our ablutions. We have noticed recently that the Accor Group do not seem to want to spend money on installing doors to their bathrooms as we had a similar experience in the Mercure in Barcelona. In future, before staying at any Accor Hotel we will be checking to ensure that bathroom privacy is respected.
Ideal for one night stopover. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Large free car park about 100 metres further on from hotel, but is used for market two days a week (Wed & Sat I think). Although bed comfortable our room was on main road, but fairly quiet after midnight until 7.00 am when traffic started again. Staff very friendly & excellent breakfast for price. Room basic but clean.
I use this hotel regularly as a stopover as it is well located for cross channel services and the town itself. Simple, clean and comfortable rooms and a good welcome, plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.
We don't stay anywhere else in Calais now as the Ibis Style is consistently spotless, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We always have an excellent nights sleep essential when travelling to or from our destination in France or back to the uk. Excellent all round and the breakfast is the perfect finale.
Very Clean and tidy. Felt safe. Lots to see around the town as Christmas and New Year decorations were wonderful. Lots of places to chose from to eat and drink. Breakfast was continental and all you really need to start the day. All fresh and made on premises.
We always use this hotel when we visit France it's excellent, in a brilliant location close enough to euro tunnel and near to a great selection of restaurants. Highly recommended it to family and friends.
Great place to stay and has a car park. Near some good bars and eateries, for the evening and before travelling on into Europe or back to UK, the butchers opposite and the patisserie two doors away open early to allow the purchase of baggettes, cold meats and cooked quiches, lovely.
The hotel entrance and the breakfast room are okay but the room they gave me was very cold and the air conditioning unit was very loud all night long. The AC unit was shaking and trembling I had to tape it so it will lower the noise. Overall a horrible night after and before a long drive
hotel very central to places to eat, found the family pub opposite the hotel, very nice, lively bar with reasonable food menu and prices, Calais has a lot to offer for a short break, this hotel ticks all the boxes for a pleasant trip,
The staff were curtiousand caring. The added advantage of having a very secure car park in the centre of the town is a bonus and an ideal location. The hotel is clean, modern with a good choice for breakfast.
Staff had a great sense of humour on reception. The eating are is a bit 'canteeny' and all is open plan downstairs but I would stay there again. We had a family room which was fantastic, two floors, twin pull out sofa beds on top floor and a steel spiral staircase down to double room and bathroom on downstairs floor, kids loved it!!!
Nice hotel with spacious room and bathroom. The booking was for 4 people including two children aged 3 and 12 but the second bed which was a sofa bed was just too small for them to share! Parking can be an issue too.
The hotel itself wasn't bad, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was great but the area in which its situated was a problem. Its surrounded by a couple of great French brasseries, cafe paris was fantastic (especially with the kids) but there are several low end bars which seemed to attract your "all day" drinker. It was fine for myself and my male friend but we didn't feel particularly comfortable when outside with our wives and children. Another big issue is that the hotel has limited parking (which you have to pay for) so we had to park on the street which is less than ideal as our cars were full of our holiday luggage and travel items and the spaces are directly outside some low end bars. As we arrived on a Sunday the parking was free outside until 9 the following morning but if you arrive any other day you would have to pay and move after a certain time. On the whole the hotel itself is fine (we've stayed in other styles which are better) its the location that lets it down if I was you id stay in the Ibis or Novotel which are situated in a private business park and are a better standard, five for couples but not for families.
