Room was the usual bland box, but very clean. Appreciated the two free bottles of water each morning. The breakfast was ok, but not IMHO great value for money, wish I’d looked elsewhere before booking it. The bar stayed open late but my group found we’d been overcharged on two consecutive evenings - suggest you don’t run a tab but pay for each drink as you go, otherwise you may find a few extras slipped on to the total. We were tipping generously, so this was disappointing.
Was there for a short stay. Location of the hotel is good. 5 minutes from the main train station and walking distance to the Old Town. But the facilities very basic. No kettle. No face towels. Breakfast also very simple. Could be better I guess.
Would appreciate having slippers and toothbrush at the rooms. We requested but was handed a towel and a blanket instead despite having insisted on needing slippers and toothbrush. Had they given what we requested, service would have been good.
On this occasion this was a one night stop over as i was travelling further on into Poland. It is a handy, relatively cheap place to to 'hang your hat', it is very close to the main railway station which in turn has a good link to Krakow airport. Also is very close to the Krakowski Galaria shopping centre for anything you may want to buy. Rooms are standard Ibis rooms which are comfortable and warm. I find prices in the bar are a bit on the high side. As always the staff are always pleasant and helpful and make your stay more enjoyable.
First stayed here in 2012 and due to being impressed with the location and value, 4 of us stayed here over New Year. The hotel is next to the main railway station and an easy 10 minute walk into the Old Town. Rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but all the necessary basics are there. Our rate included breakfast and we were very pleasantly surprised. Expecting not much more than a coffee and a pastry, but it was good quality buffet style with a wide choice, even scrambled eggs and sausages included. The area was constantly cleaned and food/drinks restocked - even when very close to closing time. Used the bar and also the "Ibis Kitchen" bistro style restaurant. The burgers and pasta were all of decent quality and very reasonably priced. The staff deserve a special mention. friendly, helpful, always pleased to help and also share a laugh. Thank you. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again when next in Krakow.
We arrived and departed from Krakow. Our holiday destination was the ski resort of Białka Tatrzańska. On our final night we left at 3:30 am in order to catch a train to the airport at 4:03. We found it difficult to sleep in the double bed. I am not sure what type of bed I ordered but I would definitely order to single beds if I was to book again. We stayed three nights in total. One night, when we first arrived. And two nights, before we left. For some reason, on the second night, the TV came on at 4:00 am in the morning. Particularly after the first night at the hotel, I was very pleased. We were particularly pleased by the breakfast. We arrived late at night on the train from the airport, and we did not take the short cut through the Galleries shopping centre. When we left on our final night at 3:30 am the lifts and the escalators in the Galleries shopping centre were not working.
From check in to check out, our party was totally impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. To us they added another star to our rating. The hotel facilities were top Ibis standard. To cap this off, the location within easy walking distance to the old city meant we were able to enjoy easily all historic Kraków had to offer.
The hotel location is on walking distance to the main train station, old town and city center. I had no issues during my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and would definitely book this hotel again for my next stay.
The hotel is near the railway station; check-in was quick with a welcome beverage voucher; the room and bed were comfortable with a flat-screen TV and (at last) an English language satellite channel (France 24 English). The room was clean with a big window and a chair. I would prefer a softer chair. Good breakfast.
very simple trip to the Old Town with the most beautiful market rich in smells and flavors of the tradition region's cuisine. Great historical walk . Christmas shopping handicrafts will be an unforgettable souvenir.
We had a four day stay here with breakfast. Hotel is clean and organised well. Hot water for tea and coffee available in restaurant - 24/7 so no need for kettle. It is about 3 - 4 mins walk from the main train station so out of the noise and commotion found there sometimes. There is a little train / road noise but the double glazing windows stop about 99% of it. There is also a car park. It is about 5 - 10 mins walk to the main old town square - so close. Restaurant standard Ibis food - good. Free apples in reception ( open 24/7 ) Can not fault the hotel in any way. We had a lovely time there. Breakfast all you can eat buffet hot and cold.
Ibis staff is welcoming and very helpful. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and is open all day, Staff is very friendly. Rooms are ok and very clean. Hotel is only 10 min walk from the old city centre and 2 min walk from Krakow shopping mall that has a lot of nice shops, reasonable prices and lots of fast food also. Nearby restaurant Jarema serves good, traditional Polish cuisine in a nice atmosphere. The Central Square is beautiful with Christmas market and many shops. The castle is worth a visit so is the Kazimierz and Schindler's factory. The National Museum has a good exhibition of Polish furniture, weapons and clothes from the past centuries and da Vinci's Lady with the Ermine. Make sure to get tickets beforehand to the castle, to Schindler's factory and other exhibitions to avoid long lines!
I am a fan of the Accor/IBIS brand and again I was not disappointed with this hotel. The reception staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Room clean, comfortable. Although on my own is plenty spacious for 2 people. A small additional charge for early / late check in/out. I arrived just after 10am and my room was ready. Location perfect as close to Galeria and station, less than 5 minutes walk. About 10 minute walk to the old town. Highly recommend it and look forward to my next stay.
Ibis Krakow Stare Miasto meets all you expect from Ibis chain. Cleanliness, efficiency. Helpul staff. Good location, just a short walk from main railway and bus station. Fast check in, wi-fi works well. Room is (as usual) small small but ok for short accomodation Breakfast good
Location was excellent as it is close to the bus, train and tram stations and also the shopping mall. Very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. They granted my request to have room not facing the busy street. I'll recommend this to my friends.
A perfect location, clean and cosy rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, fair price - a very good value for money. Closeness to Old City (10 min by foot); next to the central railway station (if you are travelling by train), private parking (if you are travelling by car) Next to the biggest shopping mall in the city (for those who enjoy shopping) There is a lot to see in Krakow - Ibis is warmely recommended for staying there.
i have only positive points for this hotel. Near by most attractions; staff always ready to help, rooms are clean and price affordable. Breakfast is good and if you pay it together with the hotel reservation, is possible get a good price for it.
Ibis Krakow Stare Miasto is 3 minutes walk from the station and shopping mall, and also few minutes walk to the old town. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean.
Location near Krakow central station and shopping mall and short tram ride/walk to Old Town made this a good choice. Breakfast a little pricey for Krakow but a good spread of hot and cold bufeet items. Room was clean, comfortable and everything works. Staff were helpful.
I have a Gold Status on Le Club AccorHotels and I spent two nights between 1 and 3 of June in Krakow (PL) in Ibis Stare Miasto hotel. I parked properly in the hotel's “secure” parking place. In the immediate right neighborhood, there was a blocked parking place - the space is used by the hotel suppliers because there is the access to two utility doors. During the stay in Krakow I did not move the car from the hotel parking place. At the last day, I found my car hit in the right rear door. I informed the person at the hotel front desk (Aleksander) and I asked for the video recording. There are at least 3 video cameras that cover the hotel parking (I have picture with all of them) . He informed the hotel maintenance manager about the problem and the answer receives was: “we cannot access video recordings without the police's agreement”. I filed a complaint to the Krakow Police and I will do the same when I will arrive in Romania. I mention that it is about a 30000 EUR brand new car and the repair is worth around EUR 1,000. But to the answer of the authorities, I'm just being harmed, and that's just because I stayed in an Accor hotel… I am very disappointed and I will share this experience with all my friends and business partners. Probably this was my last visit to an Accor hotel.
