Nothing great, nothing really bad. For one night, it is acceptable even if the location isn't great and confort is average. Breakfast is average but below average for Cancun, as well as the bed and decorations of the rooms. Don't come for leisure.
I've stayed recently at the Ibis hotel on two occaisions. The first was seven days and the second just two days. The hotel is well situated, a short walk from the biggest shopping plaza you'd ever need. There is a foot bridge across the road or you can cross earlier taking a great deal of care. The rooms are clean and fresh. Breakfast costs 120MX and is a buffet. I had a generous fill later in the morning and it usually did me until early evening. There is a very well stocked grocery store within the building and an Italian restaurant immediately adjacent, with a cafe and pharmacist to the rear. In the basement there is the laundry. I put a wash load in on both visits and was pleasantly surprised by the cost both times, however there were a few additional items send back to me that I did return. If you are planning a beach holiday, this is perhaps not the hotel for you as its a little far, and you'd need either a taxi or bus. If you are travelling to or from the airport there is a bus service run by ADO that picks up thirty seconds walk from reception, with tickets sold in the travel agency on the way.
My experience at Ibis Cancun was just exquisite, very helpful staff indeed! You could just improve on Breakfast menu options! Other than that, Big Ups! The location is super, given Ibis' proximity to the mall! Thanx loads...
Great Hotel! Central area of downtown Cancun. Great gigantic mall across the street. Not to far from anything. Hotel Zone is a few minutes away. Breakfast not so hot. Rooms are good size. Only needs a pool to be completely perfect!
This is by far the best place we've stayed in Cancun. We had a 7th floor room with a view of the lagoon and even got a great sunrise picture in the morning. The room was clean and the staff was wonderful. It's located about a block from Plaza las Americas so we enjoyed going there. The only scary part was trying to cross the streets when it was rush hour traffic! Another great asset is the Italian restaurant that is next to the hotel. My husband has the best lasagna he has ever had. I recommend te Ibis Hotel to everyone. It's clean, safe, and very reasonably priced.
The best location near everything including the shopping center in the building next door. It is near the airport, The hotel offers basic amenities, but you almost feel like you are in a 5 star hotel. They have very helpful staff, good breakfast, and available restaurant as well. You will not be missing anything except for luxuries. I would stay here again.
Ibis Cancun is a hotel where you know what to expect. Like all the other Ibis I stayed the rooms are not big but comfortable and clean. The beds are of good quality and the bath has the basics. No frills, but straight forward. The staff was really friendly and helpfull. Ibis Cancun has some extras. You will find a big shopping centre close by, a supermarket, a travel agency, a bus stop for overland busses, and more. Of course Ibis Cancun is not at the beach, but it is an excellent place for a short stay at Cancun and, if you want, you get picked up at the hotel for your trips around, incl. Isla das mujeres.
The only service that pleased me was the cleanliness of the room. The others left to be desired , breakfast with no options and reception grudgingly .The location is excellent with easy access , but all Ibis I've stayed that disappointed me. They put us in a room near the emergency staircase which caused noise.
Very nice, clean and comfortable room and facilities. Nice and competent multilingual staff. Convenient and nice location, next to mini supermarket, ADO bus office, easy access from/to airport and downtown. Very good and nice selection for breakfast, restaurant facility open all the time.
A nice stay in Cancun Centro at a reasonable price. Room was small but very clean and very quiet. Shower was great....plenty of hot water and water pressure. Could see ocean and hotel zone from our 8th floor window. Only basics provided....2 big towels, no face cloths. No closet only a few hangers. ADO bus office next to property....can catch bus back to airport. Arriving by bus you must go to main bus station and take taxi to hotel. Hotel across from Plaza de Americas shopping mall.....very convenient and nice to walk around or use food courts. Walmart market next to hotel....good for buying water or food. Would definately stay here next time!
ibis Cancun Centro is located in very nice place. Beaches - 10 minutes driving. Walmart grocery store in the hotel's building. Big mall - 10 minutes walking. Just one thing need to fixed - A/C. They are noisy and air filters need to be cleaned.
One of the best hotels I have been in the people there are super helpful they are understanding and care about the customer. Very close to everything and everything is at your disposal. Also a very safe place to be at.
The Ibis Cancun is perfect for late arrivals in Cancun or overnights before an early flight. It has everything you would want. Rooms are basic and comfortable. Fee wifi and a breakfast cafe. Located across a traffic circle (be careful crossing) from the Plaza Las Americas mall, which has stores and a food court. The hotel is part of a larger building that has a Superama supermarket (Wal-Mart), an Italian restaurant, National Car Rentals and a small ADO bus terminal with regular airport departures.
The hotel is pretty soulless. Room small and basic. No coffee facilities or fridge and located on busy road with little of interest in near vacinity. Bathroom tired. I spent the first morning out of the hotel and, when I returned early afternoon room not serviced. A short time after my return there was a knock at the door asking if they could service my room. This was annoying. English spoken was very limited and communication difficult.
My stay at ibis was good the staff were very helpful and all spoke English which was a great help they also corrected or changed my room when I had a broken of some insects in the room overall would definitely use then again when travelling in and out as I was to Cancun
This is the worst hotel in the entire world. The sink and shower were full of mold, they give only two towels per room.... They were gray and ripped! The room was dirty, furniture had stains all over.....not worth a penny! The buffet though was surprisingly good and varied. The fruit was fresh and the cappuccino coffee was delicious. As far as service, the front desk staff was very helpful and overall very nice. However, we will not come back again until they renovate the rooms.
This property is fairly new. It is clean and basic and resembles dormitory style uni rooms. The TVs are useless to anyone who doesn't speak Spanish as all channels are in Spanish which is ridiculous. The showers have no pressure and are terrible. You have to run around to try and get wet & the pressure is that all you can barely wash the side of your body. The staff are polite and friendly and very helpful. The property is ok for short stay.
My reservation was not honored even though I made it through the hotel's website: The manager could not be found to provide a solution and the front desk clerks could do nothing to help. The website information on reservations is erroneous, and I had to hire a travel agency to find me a room for that night.
Watch out when making a reservation with any hotel of the Accor chain. What is the first thing someone do when looking to book a hotel room? Put the correct dates in right? And that's what I did. Only to find, for my surprise, that after the transaction was paid for, the selected dates were completely changed by their website!! After calling the hotel, they said they couldn't change my dates or give me a refund because it was a 'promotional' rate. So I looked on line for how to get in touch with their customer service, AND THEY DON'T HAVE ONE!! Impossible to get an answer from anyone in this fraudulent hotel chain. They stole my money and ignored every single complaint I made. I'll never, ever book any thing with this pathetic company.
The hotel´s location is great. It is within walking distance of a shopping center and a large supermarket. Rooms are clean, excellent & soundproof. Breakfast is excellent. Cleaning staff helpful n nice.
