Very beautiful view from hotel including possibility to swim in swimming pool.across Chao Praia river with shuttle boat ,Skype train station and other possibilities to do some sightseeing in channels or kings palace a.s.o.
Third time between 2012- 2017 in this hotel. Great value, easy reach to the river and boats, nice area, food not so good, noisy air condition, using next time again this hotel. Been in much expensive hotels in Bangkok, just love the garden riverside, better than seventh floor or top floor pools in 4 or five star hotels.
We enjoyed our stay at IBIS riverside. The hotel's location is unique and very quiet which we love. Its quite far away from the busy downtown of Bangkok. The room was very spacious and the pool was lovely. I suggest to have variety of choices for the breakfast buffet. Overall we will stay in IBIS once we visit Bangkok soon. Actually its my 2nd time to try IBIS, first was in Singapore and 2nd was in Bangkok.
Great place to destress after a long flight. Always relaxing next to the water and comfortable beds to sleep in. Breakfasts catered to all nationalities. I like the proximity to the ferry to go across the river to the BTS. Easy to get around the city.
One of the main reasons we booked here was because the family room came with a games console - only to find that there were no games available. Why have game consoles in the room and not have any games available at all?? The “hot” items at breakfast were cold. Lovely clean rooms.
Excellent service from check in to check out. Right price, amazing Food and Beverage service, and the local area on the river cant be beat. If your going to Bangkok and plan on taking BTS this hotel has free shuttle. Sathorn pier is steps away over an amazing bridge for photo taking. Room is compact however appointed so well there wasnt a need we had from staff during the entire visit.
Our second visit, the hotel is relatively easy to get to from BKK. Don't get caught out like we did with an expensive journey to the hotel, simply because we arrived very tired. Make your plans in advance and stick to them, altho' the Airport Link was closed which threw us out and settled for an easy solution. The hotel is comfortable and the staff very polite and helpful, although there could be some improvement with the breakfasts, especially if you are partial to fried eggs.....Other that, there are local eating places which serve tasty meals with easy walking distance..overall Very good and we would come back again..Happy hour has disappeared :(
We stay here whenever we stay in Bangkok. The hotel is easy for me to access by car and convenient for river and sky train access. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Excellent value for money.
I love to stay in Ibis Bangkok Riverside, the view of chaopraya river is beautiful in the sunrise. The breakfast is wonderful and room is always clean. I love view from my windows to see the city and swimming pool also the river. I love to stay when return to Bangkok.
The hotel is a little outside the heart of BKK which brings some rest in a stessfull city. The garden next to the river, breakfast and swimming at the riverside are quite relaxing especially given price/performance ratio, Also I advise to book way ahead in time as this and other hotels of IBIS profiling as family hotels with family rooms, usually has only a marginal number of this desirable faily rooms like 10 out of 260 or 8 out of of 220. So enjoy and book in time.
Very nice swimming pool just beside the Chao Phraya river. walking distance to BTS Sapha Thaksin station. The price per night is not that expensive compared to other hotels with the same facilities. Wifi is not stable though maybe because many people are using it. This hotel all in all is recommendable especially for family with kid/s.
Me and my hubby stayed just for a night but we found out that this Hotel has a very good location and when it comes to public transportation like tuk tuk, BTS, taxi even ferry boats are available. We definitely come back to this Hotel not for a night, could be a week or more. Seafood that we have had was so tasty and fresh. See you soon Bangkok!😜
near tonasiatique, but bit far to the platinum shopping mall/chatuchak. they have a shuttle to nearest bts, but when i stayed there, the facility was not operate. overall, the room is good, food is average.
I stayed one night and decided to leave. Room was not especially clean. Very chaotic check in at reception, staff not helpful. Overcrowded hotel noisy, you feel like you are at the the airport or train station. Difficult to reach no public transportation close by.
The room was a bit dated but excellent pool facility outside. The area was very safe but not catered for tourist. On the main road there is the local 7 eleven and on the opposite side there is a small shopping mall which had KFC and domino pizza.
The Bangkok IBIS was my fourth hotel in Thailand and the second IBIS i visited during my month long trip and unfortunately one of the worst hotels from the one i went to and especially with contrast to the IBIS in Dubai i went to. The staff honestly couldn't care less about the people in the hotel. Upon checking in, I was redirected to 3 people who struggled to enter my name in the system and kept chatting to one another. After successfully confirming my reservation i was passed my room key, no explanation where to find it, terms of breakfast in case i want to purchase and the other multiple services the hotel seemed to offer. I imagine for hotels from the class of the IBIS it is important to receive the extra income from various complementary services they have such as massages, bar, dinner and tourist information. That was definitely not the case. When i asked if i can leave my luggage in storage until it's time to go to my room i was directed to a room where i could have dropped my bag.The room is not locked and pretty much anyone can walk in and pick a bag. This is shocking in my opinion since the IBIS in Dubai had video surveillance of the storage rooms and I was escorted to there by one of their staff who stayed with me until i left my bags and locked the room after. I definitely didn't feel as confident in the Bangkok one as i did in Dubai that i will find my bags after. The staff on reception aside, the room one is not much better since they start housecleaning in the crack of dawn all the hallways as well as use speaker phones to talk to one another on max volume. For people who travel and value sleep this is absolutely crazy and no matter of the remarks i made it didnt make a difference. I was absolutely ecstatic to check out and leave the hotel and i will definitely not be recommending it to friends or ever consider it if i visit Bangkok. Like the title of my review says.. it's not worth it.
With this price you got swimming pool, river view and breakfast. But there are some noise during sleep, some bad smell on the sofa and no towel available for you if the pool is very crowd. Breakfast with a lot of people is a hard time for the customer and the hotel staff.
The location was nice, right on the river. The overall hotel is good, well maintained. The restaurant was good although the breakfast can be improved. The rooms were clean and comfortable but can do with an upgrade.
Most of the house keeping in ibis hotel they not clean the bathrooms well I visited all the ibis hotels in Thailand and I saw this matter in every hotel I told most of the managers for this problem but who care no body
This hotel has its own swimming pool, every evening buffet for very acceptable price plus morning buffet als very cheap. Shuttle bus takes you every 30 minutes to the Sky train so that you can reach cheap and fast every place in Bangkok.
