hotel very clinical. quite expensive also for the area. very clean and tidy however. would I stay here again probably not because there are many more hotels better value for money in the area. average stay
It's a nice hotel, a great value for money. Can serve as a perfect base for all the tours and sightseeing. Breakfast was good with enough options, I particularly liked coffee. Friendly staff, clean rooms. The only reason for one star off is WIFi, it was bad, on and off on and off. So frustrating. I understand that the hotel is inexpensive but the service is offered so one should expect to be able to have it. But other than that, we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is in the middle of town, so you can easily get to any restaurants of your choice within two-five minutes walk. Hotel also provides a shuttle to the beach, which is very close anyway, you can walk there.
15minute walk to the beach area and Ao Nang Walking Street, though free shuttle service is provided every hour with a capacity of 10 pax. Stay in family room and had a good balcony view of the cliff and swimming pool. Overall, nice and clean hotel.
Check-in service was slow. I can't check-in via the web as there is something wrong and slow. But there were nobody there, yet I have to wait. I booked 2 rooms, and when I enquired further, the next room was 5 rooms away. Why can't you put us next to each other? I booked much earlier, I am sure you can do that. We were given opposite each other, which i am ok with City view. But it was not a city view, it was more of a squatter area, Complained, and we were given another room.
Great hotel for the price, clean room, nice pool, free breakfast, good location near shops and restaurants. Not too far to the beach with shops and restaurants all the way. For the price this is a great 3 star hotel.
Goid value for money. Good location. Thakes customer loyalty programm in high priority. Nice clean room. Good breakfest. Travel agency in lobby, ATM in Lobby. Nice view to rock. Highly recommended and i will select this place on next visit.
Hotel itself was fine, no problems there. But the problem was with my online booking on Accor site which cost me extra money through no fault of my own. The hotel did not seem to care. I received an email from Accor offering special deals, we were going to Krabi so this was timely. I booked 3 rooms for 3 nights each at a cost of $NZD646.93 through the Accor site. I added credit card details and received the standard email back saying the booking was being processed and I would hear back. Later that day I got an email saying my booking could not be accepted due to a payment issue and that I needed to contact hotel to book or to do again with a different card. Occasionally I have problems with that particular card on overseas sites so accepted this and went online again and did the booking using a different credit card. I later got an email, to say that booking was confirmed. A few days later I got an email from Ibis Ao Nang Hotel asking if it was right I wanted two separate bookings for 3 nights and 3 rooms (on same dates). They attached booking slips that both referred to bookings being confirmed. I advised the hotel that I had been told one of the bookings had not been confirmed and this was first I was aware both had in fact been paid. Thy did agree to a refund but it took nearly 2 weeks. The amount that came back to my credit card was $NZD607.00 which is $NZD39.93 less than debited (this is a little less than 1000baht) I understand the hotel intended to refund what I had paid but with currency changes and bank fees the reality is I did not get back what I paid. So, through no fault of mine I was the only one who was actually affected. I suggested to the hotel, by email, that they may like to offer some goodwill by crediting the 1000baht I was to likely to pay for airport transfer. The hotel never replied. I forgot to mention when on site but would not have wanted to get in to an argument in front of my family while on holiday. So, who lost out? only me. The hotel did not seem to care. One minor other point, we stayed in a family room (2 adults and one child) in a room with a queen bed and bunks. Yet the fridge was the smallest I have ever seen, wonder why so small?
I have a 3 nights stay here for 2 rooms for 3 pax. Everything was just perfect except the first day check in process where I was told I can't get the rooms type I booked which was not acceptable at all. After few appeals, at last I was shifted to the rooms I wanted the next day. Good location to shop along the street on your way to Ao Nang beach. Don't miss the egg station near the pool side when you having breakfast. Lastly, besides the friendly staffs, the manager very impressed me with her smile and superb service.
You get what you pay for: clean and functional room with balcony and everything you need, fridge, safe, ac, comfy bed, very good shower, gel & soap, pool towels, even an umbrella!. Well kept gardens, very nice views (request a high floor room with a view to the nice pool), very good breakfast, free shuttle service to/from Ao Nang beach. Very nice staff both check-in and housekeeping staff. They need to improve a lot the food and service in the restaurant. Spent eight nights in this nice hotel.
Overall the hotel is considered good. I wish the hotel could provide Muslim food or Halal Food, certified by a local authority because I noticed quite a large number of Muslims staying at the hotel, and perhaps it is due to the presence of the Mosque in front of the hotel.
Very good hotel from a-z!!! The room is what you need, maybe a foldable luggage table could be installed as most people are travelling to Krabi with a lot of luggage. The room has a balcony, with a lovely view. Very good bed. A good and clean shower..... Very clean hotel overall!!! Mrs Bunsuwa (operations manager) is very friendly and welcomed us very warm as Platinium Member of the Accorhotels Group. The hotel has a very good staff who have been treating us very well. Everyone speaks good English. The hotel has a shuttle to go to the beach (1 per hour). I recommend this hotel if you are planning to go to Krabi - Ao Nang.
The hotel is located at a walkable distance from Ao nang beach and is at the main market area. Excellent Service. The swimming pool is an attraction particularly for kids. The travel desk at the hotel gives good information and organises tours for good value.
Nice hotel, kind staff, spacious common areas. Breakfast is OK, pool area is cool. Standard rooms are too small for families, but OK for couples. The view of the cliffs are magnificent. The hotel tuktuk service to the beach is a good treat. Plenty of reastaurants & shops by the hotel. Also there is a sort of night market just front of the hotel by the mosque. I would recommend the hotel.
Pros: Clean Hotel & Rooms Friendly staff & helpful reception Comfortable Sleep Location Perfect Cons: Rooms on smaller size (But brilliant cliff views) Repetitive Breakfast (Tasty food though & fresh fruits) As mentioned in previous reviews, people from a particular asian country have no regard for other guests, EXTREMELY loud and inconsiderate But that's not the hotel's fault. The hotel has put up signs everywhere for this particular reason. Overall pretty satisfied and happy with the hotel. Special mention to the reception staff & in particular Ms.Khim. Thank you!!
I have to say this is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed. I booked two twin-sharing rooms with a connecting door in between. Check in was quick. Hotel staffs were friendly and awesome. Rooms were tiny but very clean and neat. As most of the time we were out, so the room size doesn't really matter. Breakfast was a good spread. The hotel even has a complimentary shuttle bus to Ao Nang Beach, which is a just 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. Everything was just top-notch. I will definately choose Ibis Styles if I ever come back to Krabi! Keep up the good work, guys!
Extremely bad service ! I have been using IBIS all over Thailand but I will never use Ibis in Krabi and I'm seriously thinking to stop using the other hotels also. Ibis is a dog friendly hotel. My 5kg puppy and my fiancée got screamed at from another guest couple. My dog did not do anything, just sitting still. But due to the religion of the other couple they dislike dogs very much. The staff blamed me instead of pointing out that this Hotell is one of the extremely few dog friendly hotels in Krabi. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE
Very satisfied with our stay. Inclusive breakfast and complimentary 1L water in the mini fridge was always a good start, free scheduled shuttle tuk tuk down to Ao Nang Beach and access to bicycle, motorbike and tour booking inside hotel was good. Expect to pay more when booking from them but ease of mind compared to street vendors. Rooms may be a bit small for travellers with more stuff, but it was perfect for 2 of us. Hotel did their best to accede to our request for high floor with nice view from our balcony where you can air stuff to dry too! Perfect!! The walking distance of 1km to the Ao Nang Beach street is lined with stuff to do, eat and buy both pop-up stalls and fixed establishments. Location is slightly off the main so its quieter but still accessible. Easy to get to and from airport.
Location is good but it quite far from Ao Nang beach, but there is shutter bus available every hour to take you to the beach or you can rent the bike for a day to go around Ao Nang area. Room is small but has everything you need. Food are okay. The hotel also has tour desk with a reasonable price.
Pleasant surprise. Management left a slice of cake on the bed and towels arranged as an elephant. They took the trouble to notice that it was my son's birthday. As always, Ibis, you exceed expectations. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was fantastic. Considering the price you pay, its a steal.
Took a family room & definitely worth for money. Even though the room quite small for us (2adults+3boys), the staff are nice enough to prepare a baby cot for our baby. Breakfast is nice (even same menu were provided in our 2-nights stay). Any complaints I would have is the air conditioning controller seems not working. We are freezing out when we're sleeping for 2-nights. Have to come out of the bed to switch off the aircond! Overall, it was a good experience. Thanks to friendly staff & good breakfast.
