Beautiful city with plenty to see and do and ample choices of places to eat. The hotel is well situated and offers good value. Staff were very helpful even to supplying discounted tickets for the Unterlinden museum. The undergound garage was quite challenging, though.
Conveniently located just around the corner of Colmar's old city center. The hotel has its own parking facilities (make sure to reserve your place on time), but otherwise the Place Rapp public underground parking is right accross the street.
Stayed twice in September, first time excellent in ground floor room, second time not so good in attic room, too small for two people. The attic room was also too hot, and although it had air con, the unit was somewhat noisy.
great location for petite venice only 5 min walk away, breakfast was average, wifi was good, only bad point was being charged for 8 euros for parking when I didn't need it as we had a room in the entrance courtyard I parked my motorbike right outside it and didn't need the underground car park. so if you have a motorbike ask for room 504
conveniently situated near the central do make sure to book ur parking at the same time when booking for ur rooms as there r limited nos. of parking in this hotel ! would appreciate if the staffs especially those at the reception could be more friendlier, smile and its not so hard to say *hello* *bonjour* *welcome* *thank you* *merci* afterall the entrance is such a small space and one could see who is coming and going !
Very stylish conversion of an old building in the centre of the town, easy short walk to all the places of interest. Efficient and pleasant staff who made us welcome and valued. No evening restaurant but there is massive choice close in the town and the staff gave guidance. We were lucky to be there on midsummer day and the town was alive with free music everywhere until late night. Good room comfortable bed.
This Ibis in Colmar could not be in a better location. It is within walking distance to all the major sights. Parking underneath the hotel is a bit intense. If you are driving, unless you are driving a small compact car and are used to handling extremely tight spaces, I suggest one of the reserved outside spaces or the very convenient public park just across the street. The hotel is quaint and we found it very clean.
Five of us spent the night here during a recent trip. The rooms were good size, clean and well-appointed. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is located in the midst of the historic area and restaurants and sites are 1-2 minute walk away. Nearby scenic towns of Riquewihr and Kaysersberg are a short drive away.
We chose this because it was easy to walk to the centre of Colmar from the hotel and they had secure parking. We didn't want to drive while we were there. The underground secure parking has a tight access and is quite tricky for manouvering. Rooms were adequate for our short stay. the service and breakfast were excellent. Staff were helpful, when we had a problem signing in with their Wi-Fi the receptionist was really good and went as far as phoning their IT department to help with the problem. On our first evening we went to the bar and ordered gin and tonics, which was lovely and relaxing unfortunately the second night they had no more gin! This was disappointing. So we went out and found a lovely local bar.
The staff at the reception is amazingly helpful and kindness. Although an Ibis (just in therms of a honest and spartan hotel that usually focus on the business client), the hotel seems to be prepared for families with kids: there is always a space deserved for them. For example at the breakfast area, at the entrance close to the reception. Concerning to the rooms, well... there are still some modifications (read improvements) to be done. We stayed at room 314 and although it is placed at the "old" part, I found it very good. Room 207 is a little bit too peculiar for me and I do not recommend. Ask for the rooms facing the sunset during winter times (columns 01, 02 and 03). But as long as the air conditioning is a central system, be careful about this rooms during spring and early autumn once the cooling could be not funcioning (and the romm will be hot as an oven). One suggestion is that Accor should inform at their sites when the air conditioning is central or not. Otherwise you book a hotel with an "individual air conditioning control" which is useless once it is supplied only by cold or hot air depending on the time of the year. In generally, I recommend the hotel: clean, good staff, well located (just 10 minutes walk from the main train station or the main parts of the city - Little Venice included). And if you have kids, this hotel is the place to stay.
Very nice hotel in old house . Close to all atraction in Colmar. Easy to find the alsace wine route. Very good breakfast with fersh local food. Free fresh orange juice. Clean and cozy room. Free WiFi . Parking place only for small cars. English speeking staff.
Colmar is always a good stay and this hotel in a refurbished old building is ideal for a family trip. Close to the centre town and the petite Venice, one can find several good restaurants where tasting tartes flambées and local wines.
This hotel is a good value and very close to the city center and Petit Venice. The breakfast was included and was very decent. The bed and shower were not that great but the price was right. I would absolutely recommend it.
