Clean, tidy pleasant room on 6th floor. Toilet could perhaps have been bigger but overall satisfied. Bed was comfortable, and being 6th floor, very little noise. Decent buffet breakfast as well with numerous items to choose from.

This has got to be the worst £155 I have ever spent. I was told the room would usually be £100 on a Saturday night by the manager. There was no Tea or Coffee making facilities, the shower was by the bed with a door that didn't close so the bedroom floor was wet. The towels we thread bear and the only cupboard had a toilet in it. The air con was broken and the window didn't open. The reception area was too informal, being checked in by a teenager with an IPhone isn't my idea of professionalism (maybe that is showing my age) There isn't any parking so you have to park a 15 minute walk away

We are aware that this was a budget hotel but Bed was so hard I couldn't sleep Toilet was so small we knocked knees on door and I'm only 5 foot tall The shower door didn't close properly so there was water all over floor outside shower Toilet rose fell off when water was turned off hitting both myself and my husband on our heads when we finished our shower No where to hang all towels even though you want us to use them again Staff at reception not helpful even when my husband said he was a platinum card holder Web site was misleading about whether there was a restaurant and bar at hotel

Very disappointing hotel and pretty awful room, €170.00 for 2 night stay (breakfast NOT included!), weird & confusing reception area, hospital look rooms, all furniture nailed down, lino floor, tiny shower cubicle, tiny toilet with just enough room to sit. Called hotel 15 times with query prior to stay, cut off every time, didn't get to speak to anyone. Awful!

The best thing was the price, but there were a few gripes. The shower cubicle and sink were in the bedroom, not great but it's the budget option I suppose, which is why there was no kettle and tea and coffee (although there is a coffee shop in the same unit). The toilet is separate, but the gap between the loo and the door is far too small - I'm only 170cm tall, but even I found it a squeeze, so imagine someone much taller trying to use it! It was clean, and the staff were friendly, and even though it's on the busy Ancoats Road, it wasn't too noisy. It's a littte out of the city centre, but there's a nice walk along the canal to get to Piccadilly, and there's a tram stop very close. Overall, this budget option does what it needs to - a no-frills room for not much money.

Great reception staff and very helpful. The lady on the desk when I checked in actually remembered me from my stay last year! Only issue with the room was a brown stain on the room's floor, but that was the only thing wrong with it in all honesty. Will certainly recommend to family and friends

central location close to town and Ethiad stadium, helpful staff, good for a overnight stay room quite small but adequate clean and well maintained no parking is the downside although we found car park close by

Booked night on Easter weekend to attend music concert Booked a room for three of us Easy booking in al done electronically Room was spacious but got to blast n the heating Washing facilities were adequate toilet was a tad small and at 6' my legs just touch door so taller people may struggle other than that great Paid for breakfast which was toast cereals hot drinks fruit etc so my sons got their fill

This is a clean, comfortable, well run, convenient ibis. The staff is helpful and relaxed, the room was quiet - maybe the walls and door are especially thick?- and no frills, the location is perfect for tram travel conveniently around the city. We will visit again!

We understand that it is a budget hotel but the bunk bed in our room wasn't made, even though we had 3 guests staying. And the "half bathroom" concept, with an open shower literally next to the bed can be awkward unless you are staying alone or in a couple. Good location, very clean but small room which I would only recommend to 2 people max.

Unfortunately over priced for what services are available. No kettle or coffee making services, no car parking available although states car park available. The shower was cold. Totally unaware that there are 3 types of Ibis, Red Green and Blue...avoid the Blue Ibis.

Loved this hotel. 12 minutes walk to the centre of town and the train station. Staff very friendly. Spotless clean. Most comfortable beds I've slept in while away. Staff held onto our luggage while we attended a match and when we returned to collect asked about the game. Felt the manager took an extra bit of interest in his holiday makers. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent staff and clean and need hotel. ISLINGTON METRO STATION is next to it. EASY to travel to city center from Islington tram station. Halal food is no nearby but Domino Veg pizza is also available in the same building corner. MANCHESTER CITY STADIUM is 20 minutes walk away from this area.

We have stayed in this. hotel before and will again, it's very well priced modern clean and in a great location. We were going to the O2 apollo and it's a 15 minute walk. away and a 10 minute walk away from train station a must place to stay

Wasn't expecting miracles with it being a 'budget' but the bunk bed was unmade and damp, the shower door see through, the front desk service pretty poor and the foyer stank. Would not stay here again.

I stayed at the Manchester Ibis Budget for two days. Unfortunately the water in my room was yellow, yes yellow for a day and then cloudy for the second day. To top it off the lift got stuck twice. I'm a business traveller and expected better.

Was in Manchester for one night with friends... Good comfortable bed, good location. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on it but was fabulous to have hot spicy Domino's Pizza (just downstairs). My friends also enjoyed their rest and breakfast... Could not ask for more for the price paid.

Really enjoyed my short stay, room was very clean and tidy and shower really nice. Breakfast is more than adequate for the price and staff were all very helpful and professional, check in/out all handled well with least amount of fuss.

If you just need a bed for the night its okay! if your taller than 5ft dont expect to use the loo with the door closed cos damn its tight for space! Also the cleaner came in at around 9.30am after banging on my door which ofcours ruined my sleep after a late night!

Stayed here for one night following Burnley v Leicester match. Hotel is ideally located for Manchester Piccadilly and the New Islington Metro stop is across the road if you want to go to Victoria or further afield. I Don't understand some of the negative comments about this place. It is clean and tidy, the double beds are comfortable enough and there is a good shower and TV and SOAP, which some have said there wasn't. Also staff on desk were friendly and helpful. Remember, the clue is in the title......... Ibis BUDGET. If you want to pay £30 or £40 a night more then go and stop in a Premier Inn. I will certainly stop here again when next in Manchester and need a bed for the night without breaking the bank.
