This is an absolutely fantastic HIE. The friendliness and professionalism of the employees are remarkable. The employees are hard working and gracious. The room was spotless and I love the availability of nearby outlets by the bed. Keep the great work going. I will be back in March (D.V.)

All staff were polite and attentive. No hesitation on staying again. Very friendly overall. Location near good public transport. Price point is excellent value. All systems worked OK (elevator, AC, TV Wi-Fi etc).

Very good accommodation and treatment the distance about center of Merida is not good is very long trajet not heavy a it takes a lot of time to wait for the taxi. The value of breakfast is very high. There no iron in the rooms.

The hotel is a very nice modern facility. The staff is superior and is always ready to support your needs. The rooms are a bit small but functional and clean- very clean. After my 2 week stay, I was ready for more space. The shower in the bathroom is poorly designed, as it is small and the water comes from a rain head not allowing for easy out of water sudsing.. Meal service is adequate but nothing special. Finally, the location was perfect for my needs- but would be a bit of a distance for travelers looking for a tourist visit of El Centro and the tourist activities. That said, everything is a short and cheap taxi ride away. Overall the hotel was good not great. I would stay again.

while going to the yucatan was pleasure, I still wanted to see where the US consulate/embassy was incase I apply myself to this area. i also do like to present myself as a goodwill ambassador in any area I travel to and immerse myself in. the hotel Ibis was a great building, situated near the north end of the main walking promenade through the city: the Paseo de Montejo. the rooms were very clean, and the staff was VERY friendly. the wifi to me was astoundingly good (as was the free wifi broadcasted all the way down the Paseo); however, I live in the remote mountains of Colorado; so anything above 2-4mbs is GREAT. I had pre-booked prior to arrival in Mexico; stayed two nights, and upon returning to the city, walked in and stayed the last evening prior to flying out. it was an overall wonderful experience. This Ibis provides all the basic necessities one would need while traveling. The entire hotel was clean, they offered a satisfactory breakfast for a good price, and the staff was very pleasant, The room was a decent size, we did not have any large suitcases. The only drawback is that you only get one towel per person, so don't expect hand or facial towels. This hotel does not have a pool. I think this hotel is more than adequate for a few days stay. Enjoy its excellent location and excellent beds for a good nights sleep.

Reserved four rooms at the same price and at the same time, one of them did not include breakfast, so I had to pay again for it. Accord fidelity program shucks four rooms and you only get 81 miserable points?

We like Ibis Merida for the price, the comfortable beds, the plentiful hot water and good shower pressure, and the conveniently well-designed rooms. We've staying many times. One complaint I have this time, however, is the lack of a bathmat. On our arrival, we found a soaking wet towel in the shower presumably to keep water from seeping onto the bathroom floor. Stepping out of the shower onto a bar tile floor is not safe or pleasant. I went and bought a small towel from the local Wal-mart myself to deal with this slippery problem. Another thing missing in my view is a second pillow for the second person. How do 2 people share 3 pillows? We like the buffet breakfast, especially the addition of the coffee machine, for cappuccinos. It would be healthy to have more drink choices than sodas at the bar. Sugary sodas are contributing to poor health in Mexico.

It is good, I am not going to rave about it. It is absolutely basic, we like to stay at sofitel hotels and this was the only one in the town so we knew that it wouldn't be luxurious or anything but just a basic clean place for sleeping before going to the pyramids, etc. Recommend it. The hotel is in a good location, internet was good, breakfast was good, bed was a little hard and the rooms are tinny but we were there to sleep not to lounge or hang out.

Perfect for the US Consulate Interview. Best place for the money that you can get around the area. You can be sure of having cover the basics: service, cleanliness, sleep quality (good AC). In summary: Very Good Value for your money.

My trip to Merida was totally enhanced by staying at the Ibis Merida due to the quality of the accommodation, the great access to the metro bus system, Chedria super store, ease of walking into the downtown and back on a shady side of 60 Ave depending on the time of day and the super help by people at reception in facilitating tours and of course, the Ibis breakfast which propelled me into my day and kept me going for hours.

Good property and breakfast and close to a major street. Four stars for this. Unsatisfied: front desk used a lower rate to calculate my Accor voucher and asked me to pay the rest with peso when I checked in, but the voucher value was shown with higher rate in the statement and front desk did not return the pesos I paid more, i.e. I paid more money than it should be.

recently stayed here for 4 days. it's near monumento de la bandera and is well connected by the collectivos plying in the city. staff speak fluent english and were polite and helpful. i had a pleasant stay
