Hotel is very tired and in need of refurbishment. We’ve stayed in Ibis Styles before and really appreciated the features for families like kids play area and family rooms. This is not a good example of this. The family room was 2 interconnecting rooms and the play area was right by the main door and had next to nothing for kids. There were bare wires where an interactive toy should’ve been and nothing was working. Will not be back.
Overall we had a very good overnight stay. This hotel is very convenient to the motorway and we have used it a number of times. The only problem was quite a lot of road noise but that could not be avoided due to the location.
We arrived went to our room which should have been a twin with a shower. It was a bath that would have been impossible to get in and out of because of a fixed shower screen. Had actually phoned the hotel the week before to confirm the shower. Told hotel full and no rooms with showers available. After much discussion and a 20 minute wait while they eventually found a room with a shower but not two beds. The hotel was very tired and in need of an upgrade, nothing like the usual modern Ibis Styles. At breakfast, which didn't seem busy there was no bread... we could have waited as it was in the oven but after 20 mins we gave up and checked out.
As usual, clean, well equipped, generally excellent. Th ideal overnight stop from the ports to the south of France Only yards from the A 20 Very quiet despite being near motorway. Several restaurants close at hand
Room not big enough to swing a cat (not that we had one with us!) - only one set of towels in bathroom (room booked for a couple!) - however, did find another towel on a shelf in the bedroom. Bathroom very small - toilet very close to a wall in front and one on the side - (good job we are slim people!) Sheets were clean though!! Breakfast very basic with limited choice -but what little we had was edible - and staff were pleasant enough. Oh! and TV had two controls which took a little bit of ingenuity to find out how to use them both to get it to work!! To summarize, the Ibis we stayed in the night before was much better than this one and I wouldn't go out of my way to make another booking here if I had to stop over in Orleans again.
Stayed for 1 night on return from south of France. Great location, easy to get to from motorway. Handful of restaurants a short walk away, good choice of food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Trams nearby if you want to visit city centre.
Not a very warm or welcome reception. Keen to close the restaurant earlyand didn't have full menu available. Airconditioning didnt work and too noisy to open the window. Not the best of stays and we won't use this hotel again.
The hotel and room were both spotlessly clean, and our room was excellent. There was only one thin we could fault at the hotel, and that was the very small choice of food for dinner, but there were other places within a very short walking distance to choose from
I don't what to see too many good things otherwise I might find it difficult to book when I want too because of the increased demand. We are always well received and This is good location to catch the tram into the centre.
The Ibis Style is perfectly placed for breaking a journey to the S. W France as it is just off the Motorway. It is also comfortable and the room we had was a decent size with a very comfortable bed. Pity that the restaurant was closed [but it was Sunday]. However there is a Poivre Rouge restaurant just a short stroll away. Breakfast was good with a stylish touch, freshly pressed orange juice, really tasty. As breakfast is available from 6.30am an early start is possible if desired.
The breakfast was very good. The room lookes used (carpet). Bed was too thin. Bath has spots and isn't comfortable at all (too high , glass screen is too short). You can hear too much people in the other rooms
Even though we arrived late everything was ready and the receptionist was very helpful. Comfortable and clean rooms with helpful staff. It location, very close to the motorway, was a bonus and very easy to get to, unlike some other places I have been to.
A small hotel near to the highway. The rooms are ok, but rather small. The bathroom is clean but everything seems to be old and used. The shower is in the bad. But the badtube is too high to step in and out easely. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good. Big variation.
The room was very nice with charmant colors. We had a comfortable bed. The hotel is near to highway and restaurants, but no noice. Breakfast was variated and a great choice. Only bathroom seems old and used.
Just outside central Orleans, buses and trams to centre. Very conveniently close to motorway. Easy to find and rate includes breakfast and Wi-Fi. No restaurant, but good choice of eateries within walking distance.
Staff very good, bed comfortable. Good breakfast. Ask for a room round the back much quieter. No decent restaurants nearby. However you can walk to the Auchan hypermarket and there is a reasonable Chinese there
We chose Orleans for a stopover on the way south through Fance, and an Ibis Styles due to our experience of the brand and the proximity to the Autoroute. The Hotel was tired and in need of some TLC - the staff were O.K., Overall we have stayed at many better Ibis and Ibis styles Hotels. Directions for the last 400 metres were not good, despite the proximity to the Autoroute. Not representative of the brand.
Hotel in good location, convenient for motorway, but very basic and dreadful service at breakfast. Had to wait bread, and ham and cheese, no bowls for cereal, and no fruit salad. Staff just didn't care and wouldn't respond to complaints. Noisy bed meant a poor nights sleep.
We probably would have been happier with our stay here had we not been subjected to a film in Reception showing other Ibis Styles hotels in France that made us wonder why the one we were staying at wasn't as smart or large as them! We stayed here twice, with another couple, on our way to and from a holiday in the Dordogne. We received a friendly welcome both times, although the lady who welcomed us on 3 July had a bigger smile than the gentleman on 25 June! Our room was small but fine for one night and the bed was enormous and very comfy. Only 3 pillows and we couldn't be bothered to go down to reception to ask for a 4th. As soon as I entered the room I could have kicked myself for forgetting my travel kettle since I'd forgotten that hotels in France don't give you the opportunity to make a hot drink in your room. Happily we could make ourselves a drink in Reception and there was a good choice of fruit teas, if you like that sort of thing! Best of all, there was decaffeinated coffee available. The new, smart trams go into the centre of Orleans from close to the hotel, which is at the end of the line, and for 1.5 euros you can get a single ticket to Charles de Gaulle stop. We did this on both visits so we could eat in the city since the hotel's evening meal menu didn't inspire confidence. To find the tram stop cross the roads opposite the hotel and turn right then follow the tram tracks. Breakfast at the hotel was fine although it was hard to find a mug that wasn't chipped. It would have been pleasant to have sat outside the hotel on arrival, since it was hot and Reception didn't have air con, but there were no chairs outside. The air con in the bedrooms was good. This is rather a tired Ibis Styles Hotel - we stayed in a smarter one later on the same holiday, but it was perfectly OK for one night.
Just what we needed, a functional hotel en route south. Excellent reception provided us with all the information we needed and was very welcoming. Breakfast was included in the price and was fine. Would stop there again.
