Quiet, clean and plain. For a reasonable price you get a quiet nights sleep, a clean room and a plentiful, varied breakfast. The staff were all pleasant and had good English. This hotel is quite a walk from the bus/train station if that's where you arrive but it is in a safe residential district and even walking back through the park at night felt safe. One complaint would be the lack of sugar free cereals, especially muesli.
Helpful check in staff, with god English, waiting team efficient and helpful and kept food topped up. Quality of the food fine, good evening and breakfasts were of a good variety. Room was comfortable and clean.
While the room was generally OK, the duvet was too heavy for summer use, and the pillows were hard. The evening meal in the restaurant was OK without being great; unfortunately it was so noisy due to a large number of basketball players eating there (they seem to be a permanent fixture at this IBIS). Breakfast was good value for the price
Good location to visit Girona and also other nice places such as Cadaqués. Friendly staff. The toilet needed to be fixed and the noise of the A/C reduced. A bigger parking would be nicely appreciate otherwise you have to park on the road or pay 5-8€ per night.
I was asked if I enjoyed my trip to Girona and the answer is definitely not. Don't get me wrong - I love Girona, it's a wonderful, beautiful city. And although it's a little way out, the Ibis is great - I certainly had a lovely stay at the Ibis. I was very impressed, they were friendly, it's a good hotel, I was very happy with the place, great value. However since I was in Girona to have a wisdom tooth removed, my trip was rather unpleasant. And despite the wonderful accommodation, I can't claim to have enjoyed this particular trip. Next time I'll try to visit when I'm not undergoing serious dental work ;)
Peaceful and clean room with comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet with a lot of choice. Parking easy. We stayed one night in october and wanted to stay again on our way back home. Shall defenetely come back again!
i have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions now and everything has been great on each occasion. The hotel is quiet and has a menu most will be happy with. i never really new how far i was from the town and should have asked although a map with you are here would have been helpful............great dog walk behind the hotel
We regularly stay in Girona on our frequent trips to and from Southern Spain to Austria and use Girona as a mid journey break. The hotel standard is excellent and we always make a point of staying at an Ibis hotel if available. There are excellent restaurants at reasonable prices nearby in town but we would recommend going by car and now walking as routes are bit dark! Perfectly safe to walk though and very scenic during daylight.
We choose Ibis whenever possible, because our expectations are always met - and it's great value. This one was no exception. Being a little out of town made it easy to find, but it was still only a 15 minute pleasant walk to the centre. The underground car-park gave us a feeling of security, and we could have our cat (who always travels with us from Scotland to Spain) in the room. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
We arrived at about 6.30 pm after a long day traveling from Spain and what impressed me more than anything else was the way the staff treated us on arrival we had pre booked this hotel and when it came to parking there was a charge but when I asked for disabled parking because of my wife has mobility problems they wavered the parking charges very fault full if only more hotels had staff like this
Good location, easy to park, close to public transport. Room was clean and comfortable, hotel personnel friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This was the second time we stayed here in a month. We will return.
Our dogs discovered the pet-friendly Ibis Hotels for us about 15 years back, and we are deeply indebted to them as a result. We have hardly stayed in any other hotels in Europe since - from the perfectly located and incredible value central London, Greenwich & Liverpool hotels to the one on the ramble in central Malaga - and just about everything in between. The hotel in Girona is hard to find without GPS - but we are very grateful for that, because we wouldn't want it to get too popular....
Nice room, cleam, big enough, with realy huge and confortable bed, really nice service. Low price. We could left our car on hotels car park which was a big convienience for us. We spent there only one night but it was rally nice.
Very handy (20mins) walk to old town Girona. Much more spacious than Ibis Budget hotels. Very friendly and professional staff. Garden for picnics and dogs. Restaurant available but not used by us......seemed to be very popular
Hotel is only a few Km from the City Center.Parking easy & gratis next to the hotel. Front Desk, Maria was friendly and helpful but the other receptionist in the check in was not very friendly. Room was IBIS red Standard.
Very enjoyable stay at the Girona Ibis. Brilliant location for us easy walking distance to the centre, very friendly staff. We travel with our dogs and we have stayed here several times on our way to southern Spain for the winter months and on the way back to France. Always nice to be here.
Outward. Booking in easy and efficient. Evening meal worse than Clermont Ferrand. The restaurant is supposed be dog free but the evening we stayed the male waiter allowed family with a dog into the restaurant, although a female member of staff pointed out that there should be no dogs, but obviously he must have been above her. When the family and dog left he was handed what looked like to be a nice tip!!! Return Journey. Checking in again easy. When we got to room bathroom lights were not working properly. Went to reception and informed them, was told someone will deal with it but nobody came. When we went to reception 30 minutes later, a female member of staff said he is French and did not understand you and there is no one deal with it. So we were given a different room. Nothing about their 15 minute policy and we was not offered the refund due. We did not have the breakfast as we felt that it was not value for money.
The Ibis Hotel combine the 2 Ibis Budget and Ibis in 2 building attached to each other. Parking outside no problem. Fast and very friendly Check in. The Rooms are standard and good quality. Also the rooms are nice & clean. Overall including the breakfast. Everything perfect.I will come back.
City Centre hotel, but easily accessible. Could have better sign posts about and parking was a bit of a problem. It is a nice hotel though for a stopover and the staff were excellent. It is not far from a supermarket if you need the extra bits
Hotel is pretty standard Ibis. Good value, relatively clean, a little out of the centre but a nice 20 minute walk to the top of the old town. Beds a little firm, pillows not the best. Restaurant is buffet only, no menu choice.
