very good enjoyed the stay everything was better than we could have hoped. no complaints with the service being great. We had room service and that was late at night although we did have to pick it up which was maybe not exactly room service..but that's just being picky..
Noisy through the night. Sounded like someone moving furniture in next room. Did not get much sleep. I ordered Continental breakfast for 6:00am, as I was leaving before the 6:30 café opened. Did not arrive. Mentioned at checkout, but no-one had any booking note. Nothing to eat until Lunch, as flat out at work.
I hate to say it but it fell very short of what was to be expected of a hotel of this reputation, some helpful staff but not many, the room not too clean and the breakfast was quite bad . The valet took well over 30 mins but there were other guests waiting a lot longer than us .
The breakfast and staff servicing were very good. However, the room and beds were not very comfortable. The snoring sound of the next room did not let me sleep nicely. Overall it was a good value to quality service.
What can you say that hasn't been said before. An Ibis is an Ibis, good branding, you know what to expect. Typical smaller rooms but good quality beds and bedding, everything you need for a hotel stay. Good value for money.
Our second stay here, tucked away but beautifully positioned overlooking the river... Great deck dining, lovely staff and very nice, tidy room. We really like this Ibis in the heart of town . Our room looked over the river with interesting views, sunny, very good king bed. We really enjoyed this Ibis breakfast . It was only an overnighter but great. We would return, excellent value for money.. Remember we are not comparing to a five star Accor hotel but to good value, middle of the road accommodation. In this catergory it's hard to beat.
Our room was clean, beds comfortable. The view of the Waikato river was superb. Thanks for putting us on the 7th floor! We especialy appreciated the friendliness of the staff. Parking was a bit iffy - but that looks like it is a problem in the Hamilton CBD for everyone.
Frequently had to change key as door lock faulty. Room not made up until 4 pm As Accor member, wifi not available until we pointed it out generally not up to what we have experienced at Ibis Hamilton on past occasions
Pubes on floor in bathroom. Unclean loo & poop stains in bowl. Felt like was in prisoner having my car keys taken by staff. We were not able to come and go to visit our friends and family without permission to leave
Good service, good but expensive breakfast, clean comfortable bed, shabby decor in room. Paint peeling in bathroom, carpet bare at seams. Very noisy from other guests ( and fridge, which we turned off), walls seem paper thin.
A very nice property...good value and excellent views over the river...staff were most helpful and considerate...the valet parking worked well. Normally stay at a Novotel but thought we would try the Ibis as its location was adjacent to the Novotel.
We enjoyed another stay at Ibis Hamilton where we enjoyed good service and great facilities at very good value. Only small criticism was regarding the bacon and the scrambled eggs at breakfast both being a bit below expectation. Otherwise all good.
Booked riverside King size bed, as my wife needed rest pre Cancer operation early next day, so comfort was important and not what we got. We received City side with Queen bed. Why, well they didn't come back and advise that no units available with east access shower was available river side. Actually paid for what we didn't receive, when told them at checkout, the reply was well we couldn't do what you wanted riverside, so we gave you less so be grateful!! Cant advise on service etc as system only reflects excellent which it clearly is not. Food and room service was o'k beyond that very difficult to be positive. Attitude was less than good and doesn't deserve my return business
Great location right across the road from the Centre Plaza Mall and everything was great! It had gym, restaurant in Hotel (very convenient), lovely paid parking, lovely views of the Hamilton River and the Hotel is in the heart of the shopping centre which is very very handy for shopping. Hamilton Casino is next door and that is why this Hotel is the best to stay at Hamilton.
Good welcome and service, tidy and quiet room, nice outlook over river and town. Bathroom a bit small but tidy. Great selection for buffet breakfast. Easy relaxed stay no hassles. Will definitely book again. Overall outstanding value
Really helpful and friendly easy going staff. Good location etc. Unfortunately there was a school hockey team staying. As kids are, they are not quiet, and while asking them to tone it down a few times, and they did for a while, realistically the hotel should plan much more carefully which floors they put guests vs schools in these situations. As a LeClub cardholder, I think it is not an unreasonable suggestion.
On the banks of the Waikato river with glorious views and absolutely stunning walks starting at the hotel. We wonder how the other hotels do any business - the location and the friendly staff make this place a must return place.
Always enjoy staying at the Novotel Ibis in Hamilton, great service and friendly staff, good location in the city. Lovely outlook over the river. Continous meals all day so very convenient for having something to eat later in the evening: eg: after the rugby.
Very tidy property and quite and handy to local eateries. Most certainly can walk to the local eateries so good for those who don't want to drive too far. The room we had had a view and this was pleasant. We had a complimentary drink at the bar and again the view was great and it was very relaxing
An excellent stay and would highly recommend this hotel whether on business or wishing to take a few days break.. Staff where excellent wan they went out of their way to help. Room, food, facilities were great
