It was a good stay for a night and nice breakfast, clean and tidy. It has free parking which is easy for the travellers who are on the way for a short break. Also the hotel is well accessible from the highway
Great ibis to stay in on a long journey through France, clean very comfortable beds, all function able and friendly staff...would be nice if there were coffee, tea making facilities, also it's not clear when you book a three bed room for two people that you would have to break a seal on the extra duvet, so maybe charged, luckily it was warm enough for no duvets, but no twin rooms are available, so make sure if two people want their own bed to let reception know..parking good and secure very important, tea and coffee machine in reception, McDonald's opposite for anybody that likes it, fairly peaceful but very close to motorway, ideal for a nights stopover..
2nd time staying at this Ibis. That should say it all !! Receptionist remembered us. Lovely and clean and a good nights rest which was perfect for our mid journey stopover. Look forward to our next visit in October. If there is anything negative to say it would be that the rooms are a little 'cosy' but it wasn't a problem for us.
A great little place to stopover. We travel frequently Spain to UK and this for us is the ideal place to stop and rest. Clean and friendly. We've stayed at another Ibis Budget the other side of Bordeaux and vowed never to stay there again. Now we need look no further.
Very well located if travelling to the south of France. Large disabled room with lots of space as well as a very spacious WC. Loved the shower. Dogs are allowed here too!! Good breakfast with lots to choose from.
The staff was really nice and helpful. rooms were clean and comfy; walls thick enough so you wouldn't hear your neighboors. breakfast buffet offered with great choice for kids and adults. secured car park. Location not ideal to visit Bordeaux
Competent and friendly receptionist on arrival. Unfortunately, that was the best thing about our stay! We have stayed in Ibis hotels many times but found this one below the standard we have experienced in the past. The ensuite bathroom was small but modern, with reasonable towels and very acceptable. The room and the bathroom were clean. Less positively, the room was very basic; the mattress was hard, the pillows thin and the bed was generally very uncomfortable. The room was overheated and the in room air con control didn't seem to work as we couldn't change the temperature with it. The room was on the 1st floor, and overlooked the hotel car park and a very busy road - we found it very noisy all night. Made worse by the 24 hour McDonalds restaurant next door which was also very noisy with vehicles coming and going all night. The night we stayed, there was also a group of students in the hotel and they were very noisy - in and out of their rooms, calling on friends in adjacent rooms and running along the corridors. We went down to reception to request their help in asking the students to be quieter but the reception was unmanned so no assistance available. Finally, when we booked the hotel via the IBIS website, we noted that the restaurant served a reduced menu on Saturday evenings - we assumed this to mean table de hote or even just soup and sandwiches. However, on arrival just before 8pm, we found the restaurant closed and there was no food available. The room rate we paid was about the same as we have paid in the past for stays in much better Ibis hotels in France and about twice as much as we would have paid if we had stayed in the F1 hotel a few miles away.
Easy to find, very friendly staff. Clean and pleasant. Good breakfast (for the price) and no problem taking dogs in the room (with additional supplement). Ours was a visit for a sleep-over en route to our holiday in the South of France - it fitted thenbill perfextly.
Road trip day 6, stayed at an Ibis Budget 6 km from Bordeaux city centre just off the motorway. Again a nice clean hotel with friendly staff, good clean rooms and an adequate breakfast. Large free car park, again next to a MacDonald's, so you won't starve. A good base point for sight-seeing.
The floor and toilet room missed basic hygienic standards. The whole room was Not cleaned properly and a foot printed was marking the room ceiling. A The towels were very poor and cheap quality. Not recommended to any family travellers.
now we've sussed the access from the Bordeaux Rocade it only took 2 minutes to get to the hotel not like last year when it took ages driving in and out of the suburb of Villenave. be warened the hotel is on the opposite side of the motorway from Villenave! use google street view to rehearse the route!
This particular Ibis Budget is very conveniently located for those driving from Spain to UK whether travelling up via Pau, Andorra or Bayonne. However a sat-nav is useful for guiding you in from the motorway as the entrance route is somewhat convoluted! The hotel itself is good, basic stuff with a comfortable bed - as we have come to expect from Ibis Budget hotels. This one was reminiscent of a traditional Premiere Class hotel, but slightly roomier, and with a proper shower cubicle (glass door, etc.) There is also a lift. All in all, it was a good choice for our overnight stop, and we will use it again. Being already half-way round the Bordeaux ring road, the next morning's drive, even though at the start of the rush hour, was not stressful.
Slightly better than expected. Clean, tidy and no noise. Would recommend and definitely use again. The location was immediately ff the motorway and was easy to find. The security of the complex was high and especially the car park. The closes restaurant was a McDonald's, but this wasn't as good. I would suggest you take a short car journeh and get some better food.
Very clean; simple; functional; 24/7 reception; use of microwave; very helpful receptionist; all that I expect from Ibis Budget. Excellent value. A little difficult for me to find at first given several roundabouts.
This is a great little hotel for taking an overnight stay while en route on a long road trip. It is basic, small but fit for purpose if you are not intending to do much more than sleep. It's clean and well positioned. Thank you.
It is best to book online. Very conveniently located next to the motorway for our travels. The staff was very helpful. The buffet breakfast was plenty, an excellent way to start the day's trip. Good value.
Great location on the way through France to Spain, just off the motorway. Secure car park, locked at night, so no worries about the car. The room was clean & comfortable, with a great bed and aircon. Right next door to McDonalds, so convienient for a quick meal.
easy accessible, you get what you pay for. I did worked excellent for me as a family with two small children, having a family room to accommodate all four of us. without the need to book a second room as most of the other hotels were suggesting.
Have stayed at this location before, very handy when travelling from Spain to the UK AND only 1 minute from the Bordeaux Ring Road. Clean & Comfortable. Would definitely stay there again and recommend for anyone travelling this route
For a night sleep in a budget hotel on your way to a holiday destination, you get good value for a limited amount of money: a room with 3 beds, bathroom with toilet in your room, flatscreen tv, free wifi. You also have air conditioning, but you can't do much about the automatic system that regulates the temperature.
